As my first post, I am writing about an amazing anime, Steins;Gate.
Story Summary
Steins;Gate is a science fiction and time travel based anime series, where the main character is Rintarou Okabe, a young man who calls himself a "mad scientist". He runs a small lab with his friends in Akihabara, Tokyo. One day, they make a strange discovery using an old microwave and a mobile phone. They are able to send text messages to the past. These messages are called D-Mail. Although at first it seems like a fun game to them, they gradually realize that every message sent to the past is seriously affecting the present and future. Every small change creates a new timeline, and with it comes nightmarish situations.
In addition to Okabe, Kurisu Makise, a talented female scientist who specializes in time travel theory, is an important character in the story. Okabe's relationship with her and the tension between science and emotion deepens the story. When Okabe realizes that in order to protect the people he loves, he will have to change the timeline countless times, his difficult and emotional journey begins.
Steins;Gate is not just a time travel story, it is a unique story full of friendship, sacrifice, and human emotions, which makes the audience think again and again.
My Explanation
Steins;Gate is not just an anime, it was a journey for me, a geek journey. Where science fiction, technology, friendship, sacrifice, and love combined to create a unique experience. My love of technology and science fiction drew me to Steins;Gate. Okabe's character strikes me as a representative of a deep scientific imagination who wants to balance her emotions, responsibilities, and harsh reality.
The character Kurisu Makise in particular, a talented female scientist, gave the anime a lot of depth. Her logical thinking, emotional restraint, and realistic attitude impressed me. Also, the Reading Steiner concept used in the story, where Okabe has the unique ability to remember even when the timeline changes, really impressed me.
