Hello Friends, Today I'm going to review a video capture card that I brought from Amazon. In this blog, I will show you guys the unboxing and also I will be sharing some sample videos that I was able to capture using a USB video capture card through a raspberry pi 3. I brought this capture card to screen capture my computer, mobile, setup box, raspberry pi and other HDMI devices. The biggest advantage of a capture card over a normal screen recorder is that the capture card can be used for capturing the output even before the windows is booted, so that means you can capture the visuals from the point when you press the power button of your computer. A capture card is a device that can convert video signals (HDMI) into digital signals (USB) and by using software like OBS Studio you can record/live stream that digital signals into youtube or record it into a Hard disk.
Capture cards are mainly used for capturing the output signals that are coming from the HDMI cable. The HDMI out is connected to the input of the capture card and the USB side is plugged into our computer and using OBS Studio we can capture the signal or visuals coming through the HDMI cable to our computer.

connect the HDMI input to a device and the output end to the capture card as shown in the image.
After that connect the Capture card's USB end to the laptop USB port and launch the OBS Studio application inside the laptop
Click on the + icon to add a video source
Click on Video Capture Device
Click on OK
Change the Device to USB 3.0 which is our capture card
Click on OK
After that go to settings - audio - mic/auxiliary audio and inside that select Display audio interface (2-USB 3.0 capture)
Now you are all set to record / live stream
The advantage of HDMI is that it has audio/video signals output
