Conexión
Para conectar mi Router fue muy sencillo, en vez de conectar el cable de corriente del router, solo tomé el cable que traía el mini UPS y lo conecté a Router. Conecté el cable de corriente del mini UPS y lo conecté a la electricidad. Y listo, no hay que hacer gran cosa para tener un router encendido durante los momentos sin luz.

Esta es la parte importante. Compré el Mini UPS aproximadamente hace un mes y estaba feliz porque iba a tener electricidad. Resulta que no se fue durante al menos una semana, así que no le di uso (por fortuna). Pero en el momento en que pensé que si iba a hacerlo, se fue la electricidad y tenía WIFI, estaba encendido el router. Tengo que hacer un inciso acá, porque si hay algo que me choca es cuando dicen: se fue el WIFI, no señores, si el router está encendido, el WIFI no se va, el WIFI transmite la señal de internet, lo que se va es la conexión de internet. Muy bien, continuemos. Entonces, como les decía, tenía conexión de WIFI, pero no tenía internet. Resulta que mi conexión es por satélite, así que yo y varios vecinos estamos conectados a una antena del proveedor de internet. Esta antena necesita electricidad para funcionar, así que la empresa de internet, tomó precaución de esto, y le puso un UPS al distribuidor del edifici para no tener problemas con esto.
Para que entiendan, antes, cuando se iba la luz, yo simplemente conectaba la laptop directamente al cable que viene de la antena y así podía conectarme sin problemas. Pero me di cuente que su UPS se dañó porque no encendía la luz de la conexión. La tercera luz de izquierda a derecha debería estar blanca si hay conexión, o roja si hay alguna falla. Si está apagada, como aparece en la foto, no está conectado el Router a la antena.

This is the important part. I bought the Mini UPS about a month ago and was happy because I was going to have power. But I noticed that your UPS was damaged because the connection light would not come on. The third light from left to right should be white if there is a connection, or red if there is a fault. If it is off, as shown in the picture, the Router is not connected to the antenna.

I had to file a report, so they could change the UPS battery. Two weeks later, and a lot of insults for having a device that I had not been able to use because it had no connection, the technicians came to change it. And yes, now I was able to test it. Hahaha. ¿Cuánto dura?
Esto es bastante importante, durante los días sin internet y sin electricidad, hubo uno de esos días en los que pasamos 7 horas seguidas sin electricidad y el miniUPS pasó todo ese tiempo encendido y no llegó al 50% de descarga de la batería. Quiere decir que dura bastante. Por otro lado, en uno de esos días, como no tenía internet y estaba el aparato disponible y full batería, también lo utilicé para cargar la batería de mi celular y llegó al 50%. Claro, tenía los dos aparatos conectados.
Sé de personas que les dura hasta 12 horas y tienen conectado el modem (porque tienen fibra) y el router. Me parece que es una solución bastante aceptable, sobre todo para los que hacen vida en Hive, que necesitan su conexión para publicar. Incluso todo aquel que se queda sin internet y está aburrido, puede seguir conectado por su celular, laptops, tabletas y esperar la vuelta del servicio eléctrico.
Se los recomiendo completamente. No paguen más de 30 $ por esto, y traten de que sea de 1000 mAh. Espero que esta publicación les sirva de mucho.

How long does it last?
This is quite important, during the days without internet and electricity, there was one of those days when we spent 7 hours straight without electricity and the miniUPS spent all that time on and did not reach 50% battery discharge. That means it lasts quite a long time. On the other hand, on one of those days, since I had no internet and the device was available and full battery, I also used it to charge my cell phone battery and it reached 50%. I know of people who have up to 12 hours of battery life and have connected the modem (because they have fiber) and the router. It seems to me that this is a quite acceptable solution, especially for those who make life on Hive, who need their connection to publish. Even those who have no internet and are bored, can stay connected through their cell phones, laptops, tablets and wait for the electric service to come back.
