Hello everyone!

Sadly I've slowly been devoting less time to ARK as I've been quite busy playing Minecraft and enjoying the new HiveLand. The last time I played was exploring even more the unknown lands of Genesis and also taming the most powerful dinosaurs I've ever had in all my ARK games.

Starting at the beginning: I must say that the swamp kept overwhelming me every time I spent more time there. Despite being the "easy" area of this expansion, I just found it horrible and was tired of the whole boring environment.

I don't know what happened, but unfortunately I lost all the terrain I once explored on this map. As far as I understand, this happens when you open the game without internet connection, and I don't know if at some point my cousin was able to get into the computer and open the game while I didn't have internet, so I had to explore a bit to discover a bit of the map I had already visited once.

And as I tell you, the swamp was a horrible place to live so I decided to look for another place to move to. Among the options was the volcanic biome and the snowy biome, so I decided to go for the latter since I managed to gain experience with the winter on the map of The Island.

Since I arrived in this biome I noticed the absurd difference in the environment and the comfort you can have here. Even though this game sets winter as "Medium" difficulty, I personally find it the best biome to live in comfortably because you won't have to worry about dinos that will be dismantling you at every moment.

I decided to build my house of stone because it is a better thermal insulator than wood and straw, and at the same time it is a very resistant material in case some dinosaur wants to play a joke on me.

Before I go on talking about winter and how I tamed such an absurd Yutyrannus, I should mention that I finally decided to go to the oceanic biome to look for pearls: And this was the first thing that happened to me.

Diving into the water from a land surface I fell directly into a whirlpool, something I didn't even know existed until I discovered it in the worst possible way.

It was constantly pulling me towards the center and after panicking for a moment I managed to escape by just going in a specific direction. I don't know where they come from, how to avoid them or what to do to prevent them from spawning, but the scare I got when I encountered this whirlpool directly was masterful.

I noticed that it wasn't just this one, actually, there were a lot of eddies along the ocean. I don't know if it's because of the area where I decided to teleport, but I will never go back there.

After this I went to explore the deep waters to get the pearls, but here I was disappointed because my PC seems to have a problem with this biome. I don't know why it happens, but as I go down in the depth of the ocean, my FPS goes to shit, even going down to 10.

I don't know exactly why and I didn't investigate much why it happens either, but this was a big disadvantage because in the depth of this sea there were only ABYSMAL animals like Mosasaurs... and there was not only one, I even got to find 3 Mosasaurs freely.

Just notice the difference in size above, notice how DIFFERENT it is from my human body and also from my frog body.

Once I managed to get pearls I was able to make the mount for this little guy:

This little guy is a Yutyrannus, he's not directly one of my favorite dinos but he's one of the most useful in-game dinos because of the amount of buffs he gives to allied dinos, while at the same time he also has debuffs you can apply to enemy dinos (like the fear you throw after a few screams).

I tamed this dinosaur when it was level 280, so when it leveled up it became a real killing machine. I've been using it to explore and learn more about the snowy biome since I've never been here before.

I find it quite funny and cool to see how HLN-A drops story-relevant data every time we fix glitches within the Genesis simulation.

Or just data relevant to the survivor or the simulation itself, I wish I could fully understand how the fuck you come up with such a simulation XD.

I should not abandon this adventure, but I am totally lost and have no idea how to start progressing within the Genesis story. So far, I've simply survived as I usually do.

Lastimosamente poco a poco he estado dedicándole menos tiempo al ARK ya que he estado bastante ocupado jugando Minecraft y disfrutando del nuevo HiveLand. La última vez que jugué fue explorando aún más las desconocidas tierras de Genesis y también domesticando a los dinosaurios más poderosos que he tenido en todas mis partidas de ARK.

Comenzando por el principio: Debo decir que el pantano no dejaba de agobiarme cada vez que pasaba más tiempo allí. A pesar de ser la zona "fácil" de esta expansión, simplemente me pareció horrible y estaba cansado de todo el ambiente aburrido.

No sé qué sucedió, pero lastimosamente perdí todo el terreno que una vez exploré en este mapa. Hasta donde tengo entendido, esto sucede cuando abres el juego sin conexión a internet, y no sé si en algún momento mi prima pudo entrar en la computadora y abrir el juego mientras no tenía internet, así que tuve que explorar un poco para descubrir un poco del mapa que ya había vistiado una vez.

Y como les digo, el pantano era un lugar horrible para vivir por lo que decidí buscar otro lugar donde mudarme. Entre las opciones estaba el bioma volcánico y el bioma nevado, por lo que decidí irme por el último ya que logré adquirir experiencia con el invierno en el mapa de The Island.

Desde que llegué al invierno noté la absurda diferencia de entorno y la comodidad que puedes tener aquí. A pesar de que este juego determina al invierno como dificultad "Medio", personalmente me parece el mejor bioma para vivir cómodamente gracias a que no tendrás que preocuparte de dinos que te estarán desmontando a cada momento.

Decidí construir mi casa de piedra porque es un mejor aislante térmico que la madera y la paja, y al mismo tiempo es un material bastante resistente por si algún dinosaurio quiere jugarme una broma.

Antes de seguir hablando del invierno y cómo domestiqué un Yutyrannus tan absurdo, debo mencionar que por fin decidí ir al bioma oceánico para buscar perlas: Y esto fue lo primero que me sucedió.

Al tirarme al agua desde una superficie de tierra caí directamente en un remolino, algo que ni siquiera sabía que existía hasta que lo descubrí de la peor forma posible.

Constantemente estaba jalándome hacia el centro y luego de paniquear por un momento logré escaparme solo yendo hacia una dirección específica. No sé de dónde salen, cómo se evitan o qué hacer para evitar que spawneen, pero el susto que me llevé al encontrarme este remolino directamente fue magistral.

Noté que no solo estaba este, en realidad, habían un montón de remolinos a lo largo del océano. No sé si es por la zona donde decidí teletransportarme, pero jamás volveré allí.

Luego de esto fui a explorarme las aguas profundas para conseguir las perlas, pero aquí me decepcioné porque mi PC parece tener un problema con este bioma. No sé por qué sucede, pero mientras bajo en la profundidad del océano, mis FPS se van a la shit, incluso bajando a 10.

No sé exactamente por qué y tampoco investigué mucho el por qué sucede, pero esto fue una gran desventaja porque en la profundidad de este mar solo habían animales ABISMALES como Mosasaurios.. y no solo había uno, incluso llegué a encontrar 3 Mosasaurios libremente.

Solo noten la diferencia de tamaños arriba, noten lo DIFERENTE que es respecto a mi cuerpo de humano y también a mi rana.

Una vez logré conseguir perlas pude hacer la montura de este pequeño:

Este pequeño es un Yutyrannus, no es directamente uno de mis dinos favoritos pero es uno de los más útiles dentro del juego por la cantidad de buffs que le da a los dinos aliados, mientras que al mismo tiempo también tiene debuffs que puedes aplicarle a los dinos enemigos (como el fear que lanzas luego de unos cuantos gritos).

Domestiqué este dinosaurio cuando era nivel 280, así que cuando subió de nivel se convirtió en una auténtica máquina de matar. Estuve usándolo para explorar y conocer más el bioma nevado ya que jamás estuve aquí.

Me parece bastante divertido y genial ver cómo HLN-A suelta datos relevantes a la historia cada vez que arreglamos fallas dentro de la simulación de Genesis.

O simplemente datos relevantes al superviviente o a la simulación en sí, ojalá pudiera entender totalmente cómo carajos llegas a una simulación de este tipo XD.

No debería abandonar esta aventura, pero estoy totalmente perdido y no tengo ni idea de cómo comenzar a progresar dentro de la historia de Genesis. Hasta ahora, simplemente he sobrevivido como siempre suelo hacerlo.

Pero como siempre, muchísimas gracias por leer todo esto. Pronto veré qué me depara en este mapa o si terminaré mudándome a otro XD.
