Hello dear Hivers, @Pearlyshelll here—guiding you through another story, just like how I guided guests with a smile, wrapped in grace and little heels of duty.
Today, June 24, 2025 (a Tuesday to remember), I had the special chance to serve as an usherette for the very first time here at CTU Danao Campus, during the Pinning Ceremony of BSHM (Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management) and BSTM (Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management) students.
It was not just about wearing a uniform or standing at the entrance—it was about being part of something meaningful. I guided guests to their seats, witnessed proud families holding back tears, and felt the energy of futures about to unfold. From the opening program to the closing moments, every step I took came with a deeper sense of purpose and pride.
Let me share with you what it was like to stand there—not just as Pearlyshelll, but as someone chosen to represent warmth, order, and welcome.
One of the things that really caught my eyes was the very beautiful stage. It was prepared with so much love and teamwork by the officers from the BHM, BSTM, and BSBA organizations. The design was simple but very elegant. There were flowers, soft lights, and a big backdrop that showed the theme of the event. Everything was clean, classy, and perfect for the special moment. When I saw it, I said, “Wow! This is not just a stage—it’s a dream for every graduating student!” I could really feel the hard work and effort of the officers. They did not just build a stage—they built a memory.
🌟 A Special Day to Remember 🌟
In this photo, I’m standing at the middle of the aisle, serving as an usherette for the very first time here at CTU Danao Campus during the Pinning Ceremony of BSHM (Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management) and BSTM (Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management) students.
As I stood there, I watched the proud BSHM and BSTM students walk down the red carpet with their parents. I saw their happy faces, nervous smiles, and eyes full of excitement. It was a beautiful moment of success and love.
The ceremony was truly heart-touching. The venue was filled with claps, camera clicks, and proud families. Everything looked so nice because of the wonderful efforts of the officers from BSHM and BSTM organizations who worked hard to prepare the stage and setup.
It was an honor to be part of this important event. Even though I was just standing in the middle, I felt like I was part of something big and meaningful. 💙🎓
✨A Beautiful Role as an Usherette✨
During this special day, I was chosen to be an usherette for the Pinning Ceremony of the BSHM and BSTM students at CTU Danao Campus. I was assigned near the stage area, standing at the side, where I had a clear view of the proud students walking with their parents.
At the start of the ceremony, the students walked to the stage. Our job was to guide them, assist their parents, and make sure everything was smooth and organized. Each usherette had her own area, and I was in charge of the stage side. I helped moms go near their children to pin them, and I made sure every step was calm and respectful.
One funny moment was when some students started to panic because they didn’t see their mom or dad in the crowd. I smiled and told them,
“Be calm, my team and I already called your parents. Don’t worry.”
After hearing that, I saw them relax and smile. It made me so happy inside.
Yes, it was tiring, standing and working the whole time, but my heart was so full. Seeing the proud faces of the students and the teary eyes of their parents made me feel all the effort was worth it. After many years of hard work, they finally reached this special moment.
And I was there—not just to witness it—but to serve and be part of their success.
SPECIAL SONG TOGETHER
At this moment of the program, the students sang a special song together—and it truly made them happy. We could see the pure joy on their faces as they sang. Some looked like they wanted to cry out of happiness, and others were just smiling from ear to ear. It was a beautiful moment to witness.
But wait—OMG! Let’s talk about the guy who sang in front!
Like seriously, who gave him permission to be that handsome?!
He’s from BSHM, and let me tell you—his voice was amazing. So calm, smooth, and really nice to listen to. And yes, he was very, very handsome. I couldn’t help but say,
“Oh my gosh… where did this guy come from? A boy band? A K-drama?”
Even the other usherettes were giggling and whispering,
“He’s got the face, the voice… and the suit? Wow, full package!”
That part of the ceremony became extra fun, not just because of the song, but because the singer stole everyone’s hearts for a few minutes!
Unfortunately, I didn’t take many pictures during the event. As an usherette, we were not allowed to use our phones or take selfies. Our role was to stay alert, observe carefully, and always be ready to assist. We had to focus on the flow of the program—checking if someone needed help, guiding parents, and making sure everything went smoothly.
Even though I didn’t get a lot of photos, I’m still happy because I got to experience the moment with my eyes and heart. I was really there—watching every smile, every hug, and every proud tear. Sometimes, the best memories are not on camera… they’re in your heart.
The Heels Struggle Is Real!
Now let me tell you the secret behind this tired face—the heels! Yes, the pointed heels I’m wearing in this picture. We were required to wear them as usherettes, and not just cute little sandals—real, long, pointed heels that felt like walking on tiny swords!
To make it more exciting, we were not allowed to sit down during the whole event. We had to stand, walk, assist, smile, guide parents, and act like we weren’t crying inside because of our feet. I kept telling myself,
“This is not just a pinning ceremony… this is a survival mission! Help, my heels are attacking me!”
But still, even with all the pain, I kept going because I knew I was part of something meaningful. I just told my feet,
“Please don’t give up now. We’re almost at the photo op!”.
So yeah now let's talk about this event
** Before the Ceremony: Not Yet in Full Attire!**
At this part of the day, we were not yet wearing our full usherette attire, which was supposed to be a black skirt, black heels, and our organization T-shirt. Why? Because my team didn’t have the T-shirts yet! Most of them were not officers, just assigned as usherettes, so they didn’t own the org shirt. Only me and two other girls were officers, so we had to wait until we could borrow T-shirts from the other officers.
While waiting, I was just wearing jeans and a comfy top, because it was still very early in the morning and we were helping with the stage preparation. No need for heels yet—just focus and hard work first! We were lifting, arranging, cleaning, and making sure everything looked perfect before the crowd arrived.
Honestly, that early preparation part felt like a warm-up before the real fashion show started. Because after that—boom! Back to black skirt, tight shirt, and those pointy heels again.
So this the preparations looks like
The Stage Set-Up
This was the first thing we worked on early in the morning—the beautiful stage! Just look at those colors—green, yellow, and white with lovely flowers neatly arranged on both sides. Honestly, at first, the stage was empty and plain, but with everyone helping, it turned into this classy and elegant spot where all the pinning would happen. We fixed the tables, covered the chairs, placed the plants just right, and made sure everything looked perfect for the big event. I even climbed up to help adjust the cloth at the bottom part, and let me tell you, it was not easy balancing on heels (even if I was still in jeans at that time!). But seeing the stage fully dressed like this made all the effort worth it. It looked like a real award show was about to happen!
The Center Aisle
This part right here—the red carpet walkway—was one of the highlights of the venue. It stretched straight from the entrance all the way to the stage, and we made sure it was perfectly aligned and clean. This is where the students would proudly walk with their parents, heads held high, hearts beating fast. We arranged the chairs on both sides so every guest could have a good view. During set-up, I remember holding one end of the carpet while another usherette pulled from the other side, and we were like, "Ayaw og hikap ana, dapat straight jud na!" It was exciting because we knew this was where many emotional and memorable moments would happen later. It looked simple here, but in real life, this was the pathway of dreams and proud tears.
The Left Side View (Chairs with Covers for Students)
This side view shows the rows of chairs covered in white cloth—and these are specially prepared for the BSHM and BSTM students. Every chair had to look neat and elegant because this is where the proud students would sit during their big moment. We spent a lot of time fixing those covers one by one, making sure the ribbons were tight and not falling off. Honestly, it felt like dressing 100 chairs for a wedding! There was even a chair that kept turning sideways, and I joked, “Uy, this one is shy to face the stage!” We laughed as we worked, helping each other stretch the cloth, smooth the corners, and align the rows perfectly. It was tiring but fulfilling, knowing that the students would sit here proudly, wearing their smiles, pins, and of course, their dreams.
Numbered Chairs for the Parents
This part shows the clean rows of numbered plastic chairs, and these were reserved for the proud parents and guardians. We carefully taped the seat numbers according to the final list and made sure everything matched. Each number had meaning—because behind every number was a family ready to witness a dream come true. I remember checking the numbers twice, and saying, “Wala juy mawala, kay kung masayop ta, basin mama sa lain mo-pinning!” We wanted everything to be smooth, no stress, just smiles. Seeing all the chairs lined up, with the trees and tents in the background, gave a calm and heartwarming feeling. It made me think, “This is not just a ceremony... this is a celebration of years of love, support, and sacrifices.”
🕒 Waiting Time and Getting into Position
After all the preparations were done and everything looked perfect, all we had to do was wait for the event to begin. The venue was calm for a while, but the excitement was already building inside us. When the time came, we immediately went to our designated areas as usherettes. I was assigned in two main spots—first at the center aisle, where I helped guide the students and parents as they entered and took their seats. It was like being on the frontlines of the ceremony! After that, I moved to the side of the stage area, where I assisted with guiding the parents up to their children during the pinning. It was a bit of a workout moving from one area to another, but I loved being active and involved. Even though we were just usherettes, we felt like we had an important part in making everything smooth and special.

Behind Every Successful Event is a Team That Cares
This pinning ceremony was truly a beautiful and emotional event for the BSHM and BSTM students and their families. But what many people may not see is the hard work happening behind the scenes. A successful event like this is not just about what happens on stage—it’s also about the organization team working quietly in the background to make everything better and smoother. From the early morning preparations, arranging chairs, fixing the stage, guiding guests, and staying on our feet all day, we did it all with love and dedication. As an usherette, I may not have been in the spotlight, but I was proud to serve, to support, and to be part of something truly meaningful. At the end of the day, seeing the happy faces of students and parents was the best reward we could ask for. 💙✨
