⚡️ "Bomb at Kursk NPP" and "children's blood for wounded soldiers": new fakes from Russian propaganda about events in Kursk region
The Center for Countering Disinformation continues to monitor the Russian information space and identify new fakes and manipulations about events in the Kursk region, spread by Russian propaganda.
The Center has recorded another wave of disinformation publications on the following topics:
◽️ "Mining of Kursk NPP." In an attempt to discredit Ukraine, propagandists are spreading disinformation that Ukrainian military forces have been ordered to break into the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, plant explosives, and detonate them remotely, blaming Russia for the attack. Simultaneously, Russians claim that NATO specialists are allegedly involved in preparing this sabotage at the Kursk NPP.
◽️ "Children's blood for wounded Ukrainian soldiers." A fake is circulating that in Vinnytsia region, military commanders allegedly gave instructions to collect children's blood to treat wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region. However, in the photos showing donors in line, there are no children present.
◽️ "Shooting of a car." Another story has emerged claiming that Ukrainian military personnel allegedly shot at a civilian vehicle. This time, Russian propagandists are talking about the death of a man and a child, without any details about the location or time of the incident. As with previous similar fakes, no official statements have been made by law enforcement about the start of an investigation.
