Hello Hive Fam and Friends!
I wish you all better now as we welcome the month of love, the month of February. After a tiring activity in school, I asked my wife today about going to Our Lady of Good Remedy Parish-Odlot, Bogo City, to attend the Eucharistic Healing, which happened only on every first Saturday of the month. She agreed to it, and I told her that we'll go together with the kids. So, here's our simple family day, and I hope you can find time to read this.
At 6 o'clock in the morning, we started preparing for our short trip to the said parish. The kids took a bath first while I cooked the food that we will bring. We had our breakfast and packed the things to bring. We just ride our motorcycle in going to the place. I can't say the distance of the parish from our residence, but it's a 30- to 40-minute drive from our home.
Jehoia was so happy since we used to leave them home with their kuya Michael Joseph. The kids keep on asking where we are going, but I just said to them that we will offer prayers, especially our top priority for this year. We needed to stop once to let Jehoia extend her arms and legs for a while. After a few minutes, we proceed to our destination.
When we arrived, the Eucharistic healing just started. We entered immediately into the church and listened and participated in the mass. After the homily, the priest started the ceremony for the anointing of the sick. Everyone joined the line, and there we met our school's division superintendent, Dr. Senen. It's our second time around meeting our superintendent there. And it's also our second time to receive the healing oil there; last December 2024 was presided over by Msgr. Tan.
After the mass has ended, we went outside to buy candles. We light the candles at the designated candle stand. We then had our lunch at the mini park beside the church. There, we saw our superintendent with his family having their lunch too. After our meal, my wife and kids had fun playing a mind game. If they can't answer it, they will ask me, and luckily I can find its answers.
We then went to the image of Our Lady of Good Remedy at the back of the church. I took photos of Yoye and Jehoia. We entered back into the church and offered a rosary. It lasted beyond 30 minutes, and we sat for a few more minutes. We decided to go home, and when I walked towards the exit, I saw my former colleague, who just transferred to another school in December 2024. We talked a little about the event last night and that she also met Dr. Senen as she entered the church.
We prepared ourselves for going back home. I asked Jehoia not to fall asleep while on our way home since it would be difficult for me to drive. She just sang her favorite songs so that she would not feel sleepy. When we reached Tabogon town, we bought some bread for our snacks. We then arrived home safe and sound.
I feel so glad today that I welcomed my birth month with a simple family day. Also, participating in the HPUD makes it more joyful and a memorable one. I hope we can have more trips together, and I hope within the year we can reach our goals for our family. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Happy Hive power-up day, everyone!
