Mi pequeña hija tuvo su primer diente a muy temprana edad, a los cuatro meses de nacida para ser exactos, los demás fueron saliendo con facilidad, tenía la molestia que les da a los bebés cuando empiezan a salir sus primeros dientes. Cuando ya tenía sus primeros dientes arriba (como cuatro, si no mal recuerdo) y tres abajo empecé a notar que tenía una mancha blanca en los dos dientes de la parte de arriba ,los principales, pensé que era comida por limpiarle mal la boca e intenté limpiarla mejor y no allí seguía, era una mancha de textura rústica, así que preocupada porque por ser tan pequeña no veía el porqué tendría problemas dentales, la lleve al pediatra y me dijo que la llevará al odontólogo especial para bebés, un odontopediatra, ya que así empezaban la caries, quedé impresionada ya que no me cabía la idea de que un niño tan pequeño sin consumo de dulces y apenas empezando la alimentación completaría podría padecer de caries 😨.
Aún recuerdo como que fue ayer lo triste, molesta y mala madre que salí de aquella consulta, me cuestionaba mis cuidados con ella y que siempre evitaba que le dieran hasta algún caramelo, dulce o golosina y siempre alguien decía- ¡eso no le hará mal ! ¿Cuántos niños no comen eso y no les pasa nada ? Y un sin fin de comentarios haciéndome quedar de exagerada. En el país una consulta en algún médico de forma privada es algo costosa, con los altos niveles de inflación que vivimos y que la mayoría de las veces los ingresos que percibimos es para lo básico, mantenernos , es decir comida y servicios, el odontólogo siempre ha sido costoso y me plantee buscar la alternativa para llevarla y ver cuál sería la solución a su problema.
En todo eso, muchos me criticaban porque decían que los niños votarán esos dientes , que son de leches, que eso un mal gasto y no se que cantidad de cosas más. Pienso que si nuestros padres no tuvieron el cuidado con nosotros en algún aspecto de salud ¿ porque deberíamos seguir con el patrón con nuestros hijos ? ¿no es mejor cambiarlo y hacer algo por ellos? Por ejemplo, en mi familia y la de mi esposo piensan así ,si los niños tienen algún diente dañado ese le caerá y saldrá otro , así no más. Yo que siempre la curiosidad por saber un poco más , investigué y me di cuenta de lo que puede afectar a un niño perder sus dientes a temprana edad, desde la masticación hasta la forma de hablar, lo que más me preocupaba sin leer ni nada era los dolores, porque para ser claros un dolor de dientes, de muelas , no es nada agradable ,imagínense en un niño,no, horrible. No quería que pasara por eso.
Aunque mantuve su cepillado al día, cada vez y después de las comidas incluso de alguna galleta o merienda procuraba mantenerle sus dientes limpios, eso no fue suficiente, le fue avanzando a pasos gigantes y no entendía porque, si hasta vitaminas que le daba, se las detuve por un tiempo ya que era lo más dulce que le daba y que por experiencia en mi familia me decían que dañaba los dientes en los niños, esas con alto contenido en hierro si no mal recuerdo. Cuando se la daba solo la enjuagaba jamás pensé que le dañaría tanto sus dientes, eso se volvió mi dolor de cabeza ,no dejaba de pensar en eso hasta que por fin logré llevarla al odontólogo pediatra, después de una búsqueda en la ciudad ,ya que hay pocos.
Esto fue posible gracias a hive, desde que conocí la plataforma y supe todo los beneficios que nos brindaba además de poder compartir nuestros talentos, mi objetivo principal fue el de poder ahorrar para llevarla al odontólogo y así poder ver cuáles alternativas me ofrecían para su salud bucal. Es una situación que nos ayudó mucho como familia y que permitió llevarlo acabo, ésta vez iniciarlo.
El diagnóstico fue simple, porque no tomaba tetero, aún está en lactancia y mucha más información que me dió la doctora, me dijo que podía llevarla a realizarle una serie de tratamientos para tratar prolongar la vida útil de sus dientes de leches hasta que le toque salir los permanentes, fue un alivio para mí saber que aún tenía solución,algo invasiva e incomoda para un niño de dos - tres años y bastante costosa , pero cuando somos madre hacemos todo para que nuestros pequeños estén bien.
Le había mostrado vídeos y caricaturas de niños visitando al odontólogo para que se fuera familiarizando , me preguntaba cuando iríamos a qué le arreglaran sus dientes, al tener para empezarla el tratamiento organicé la cita con la doctora y al llegar ella muy tranquila, se sentó y miraba todo pero tranquila, abrió su boquita y dejo que la doctora empezara el procedimiento. La doctora me explicaba lo que hacía incluso a ella, la familiarizó bastante bien con los instrumentos para que no le incomodar.
Para ser sincera fue algo bastante rápido y ella se portó de maravilla hasta ya casi por terminar que le decía que estaba bien porque quería ir a jugar jajajaja. Al culminar satisfecha con la atención de la doctora, esperamos unos minutos mientras jugaba y yo satisfecha porque ya había empezado parte de su tratamiento para su bienestar, que sin importar la opinion errada de los demás sobre repararle sus dientes, logré gracias a hive y con mi esfuerzo darle inicio a dicho tratamiento😊. Esto me hizo sentir mejor y se que es lo correcto para ella, por su salud y bienestar y también por su seguridad , esperando continuarlo hasta finalizarlo de forma exitosa con el favor de Dios.
Y mejor lo dejo hasta acá porque está es una historia bastante larga jajaja y a mí me encanta hablar de cada detalle 🤣, antes de despedirme les quiero decir, recuerden madres y padres, que no todos los niños son iguales, no todos les va igual con algún medicamento o con algún alimento, no todos tienen la misma falta o sobra de algún elemento el cuerpo , debemos tratarlos a cada uno , acudir al médico y no solo dejarse llevar por lo que dirán, muchas veces los consejos son buenos pero otras veces no, la salud primero y la unión familiar es primordial para seguir adelante y enfrentar las situaciones que se nos presenten

Hello friends, it is a pleasure to be back here with you, I was somewhat absent for health reasons, but today I wanted to share a little experience I lived with my little princess, the beginning of her dental treatment 🦷 🏥 doctor👩⚕️, not only for being able to start her treatment but also because I achieved it, thanks to hive😃. Something that we as a family are very happy about.
My little daughter had her first tooth at a very young age, at four months old to be exact, the others were coming out easily, she had the discomfort that babies get when their first teeth start to come in. When she had her first teeth at the top (about four, if I remember correctly) and three at the bottom I started to notice that she had a white spot on the two top teeth, the main ones, I thought it was food for cleaning her mouth badly and I tried to clean it better and it was still there, it was a rough texture spot, so I was worried because she was so small I did not see why she would have dental problems, I took her to the pediatrician and he told me to take her to a dentist special for babies, a pediatric dentist, because that is how cavities started, I was shocked because I had no idea that a child so small without eating sweets and just starting to complete feeding could suffer from cavities 😨.
I still remember as if it was yesterday how sad, upset and bad mother I left that consultation, I questioned my care with her and that I always avoided giving her even some candy, sweets or candy and someone always said - that will not hurt her! How many children do not eat that and nothing happens to them? And endless comments making me look exaggerated. In this country, a private consultation with a doctor is quite expensive, with the high levels of inflation we live in and that most of the time the income we receive is for the basics, i.e. food and services, the dentist has always been expensive and I decided to look for an alternative to take her and see what would be the solution to her problem.
In all that, many people criticized me because they said that children will vote those teeth, that they are made of milk, that it is a bad expense and I don't know what else. I think that if our parents did not take care of us in some aspect of health, why should we continue with the pattern with our children? is it not better to change it and do something for them? For example, in my family and my husband's family, if the children have a damaged tooth, that tooth will fall out and another one will come out, just like that. I was always curious to know a little more, I investigated and I realized what can affect a child to lose their teeth at an early age, from chewing to the way of speaking, what worried me the most without reading or anything was the pain, because to be clear a toothache, a toothache, is not pleasant, imagine in a child, no, horrible. I didn't want him to go through that.
Although I kept his brushing daily, every time and after meals, even after a cookie or snack, I tried to keep his teeth clean, that was not enough, he was advancing in giant steps and I did not understand why, even vitamins that I gave him, I stopped them for a while because it was the sweetest thing I gave him and that by experience in my family told me that it damaged the teeth in children, those with high iron content if I remember correctly. When I gave it to her I just rinsed it, I never thought it would damage her teeth so much, that became my headache, I kept thinking about it until I finally managed to take her to a pediatric dentist, after a search in the city, since there are few.
This was possible thanks to hive, since I knew the platform and I knew all the benefits it offered us in addition to sharing our talents, my main goal was to be able to save to take her to the dentist and see what alternatives they offered me for her oral health. It is a situation that helped us a lot as a family and that allowed us to get it done, this time to start it.
The diagnosis was simple, because she did not take a bottle, she is still breastfeeding and much more information that the doctor gave me, she told me that she could take her to a series of treatments to try to prolong the life of her milk teeth until the permanent ones come out, it was a relief for me to know that she still had a solution, something invasive and uncomfortable for a child of two - three years and quite expensive, but when we are mothers we do everything so that our little ones are well.
I had shown her videos and cartoons of children visiting the dentist to familiarize her, she asked me when we would go to have her teeth fixed, when I had to start the treatment I arranged the appointment with the doctor and when she arrived she was very calm, she sat down and looked at everything but calm, she opened her mouth and let the doctor start the procedure. The doctor explained what she was doing even to her, she familiarized her quite well with the instruments so that she would not be uncomfortable.
To be honest it was pretty quick and she behaved wonderfully until she was almost done and I told her it was okay because I wanted to go play hahahaha. At the end satisfied with the doctor's attention, we waited a few minutes while she played and I was satisfied because I had already started part of her treatment for her well being, that regardless of the wrong opinion of others about repairing her teeth, I managed thanks to hive and with my effort to start the treatment😊. This made me feel better and I know it is the right thing for her, for her health and well being and also for her safety, hoping to continue it until it is successfully completed with God's favor.
And I better leave it here because this is a pretty long story hahaha and I love to talk about every detail 🤣, before saying goodbye I want to say, remember mothers and fathers, that not all children are the same, not all do the same with any medication or any food, not all have the same lack or excess of any element in the body, we must treat each one, go to the doctor and not just get carried away by what they say, often the advice is good but sometimes not, health first and family unity is essential to move forward and face the situations that may arise.
