Hello everyone, today I'm here to share with you a little outing my sister and I took last Sunday. It was filled with lots of hands-on time, which isn't so common for both of us. It all started that day when we were, so to speak, staring at the ceiling, since we were home alone and a little bored. We had been joking around with my uncles, like we do every year, about Children's Day, because we always say we're still little girls. After a while of being like that, we ventured out to explore the city center.
Hola a todos, hoy les vengo a compartir lo que fue una pequeña salida que realizamos mi hermana y yo el domingo pasado, la cual estuvo llena de mucha manita, lo cual no es tan común para ambas. Todo empezó con que ese día estábamos, como quien dice, mirando al techo, ya que estábamos solas en casa y algo aburridas, y habíamos estado bromeando con mis tíos, como todos los años, con el tema del Día del Niño, porque siempre decimos que seguimos siendo niñas, y luego de un rato de estar así, nos aventuramos un poco a recorrer el centro de la ciudad.
The main goal was to get a drink I wanted to try, which I've already posted about. Besides the fact that we wanted to start walking a little more to get some exercise, after getting what we were looking for, we decided to find something to eat, since we thought we wanted to treat ourselves to something for Children's Day. Between failed plans, because most businesses were closed for the time of day and others were full, we searched for a long time until we remembered a place my sister had mentioned, and we went.
En sí, el objetivo principal era ir por una bebida que quería probar, de la cual ya hice un post, y aparte el tema de que queremos comenzar a caminar un poco más a modo de ejercitar, y bueno, luego de conseguir lo buscado, nos propusimos buscar algo para comer, ya que se nos ocurrió que queríamos regalarnos algo por el Día del Niño. Y entre plan y plan fallido, porque la mayoría de negocios estaban cerrados por la hora y otros que estaban llenos, buscamos dónde ir por un buen tiempo hasta que nos acordamos de un lugar que mi hermana había mencionado y fuimos.
This place is Valery's Pizzas, located right in the center of the city, quite close to the entrance, and is very well-known. It's not a very large place, but it was quite nice, and upon arriving, we noticed it was decorated somewhat with a Children's Day theme. We looked at the menu options, although we were pretty clear on the student menu they had for a small margherita pizza for $2.30. So, once we'd made our respective purchases, we placed our pizza order and waited at one of the tables while we watched what was on the televisions and the surroundings.
Este lugar es Valery's Pizzas, que está ubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad, bastante cerca de llegar, y es muy conocido. Es un local no tan grande, pero estaba bastante bonito, y al llegar vimos que estaba ambientado un poco con la temática del Día del Niño. Estuvimos viendo las opciones del menú, aunque estábamos bastante claras con un menú estudiantil que tenían de una pizza pequeña margarita por 2,3$, por lo que, una vez hecha nuestra respectiva recolecta entre ambas, hicimos el pedido de la pizza y nos pusimos a esperar en una de las mesas mientras veíamos un poco lo que estaba en los televisores y el entorno.
We waited about 15 minutes for the pizza to arrive. Initially, we planned to eat it there, but it was gradually getting crowded, so we decided to order it to go. Then, thinking about where to eat it, we decided to go to the city's main square, or Plaza Bolívar, and eat there in a relaxed way. Once there, we found a small grassy area where we could see our pizza better, and to our surprise, it was quite good.
Estuvimos esperando unos 15 min hasta que nos llegó la pizza y, en un principio, teníamos pensado comerla allí, pero poco a poco se estaba llenando de mucha gente, por lo que decidimos pedirla para llevar y luego, pensando en dónde ir a comerla, se nos ocurrió ir a la plaza principal de la ciudad o la plaza Bolívar y comer allí relajadamente. Ya una vez allí, nos ubicamos en un pequeño espacio con grama y pudimos ver mejor nuestra pizza y, para nuestra sorpresa, estaba bastante bien.
I must say that we had never actually bought pizzas before, as we were used to my aunt making them, so we were as excited as little girls sitting and watching her. We also took advantage of the opportunity to buy an energy drink to go with it, and then, when it was time to eat, it was fun because it started to rain, so instead of moving to a place where we wouldn't get wet, we just took out our umbrellas and stayed there, taking in the surroundings while enjoying the pizza.
Debo decir que en sí el tema de comprar pizzas nunca lo habíamos hecho como tal, ya que estábamos acostumbradas a que las hiciera mi tía, por lo que estábamos emocionadas como niñas chiquitas sentadas viéndola. También aprovechamos y compramos una bebida energética para acompañar y luego, al momento de comer, estuvo divertido porque comenzó a llover, por lo que, en vez de movernos a un lugar donde no nos mojaramos, simplemente sacamos las sombrillas y nos quedamos allí viendo el entorno mientras disfrutábamos la pizza.
And speaking of the flavor, I must say that the pastry was very crispy, and for a small size, it had quite a bit of cheese and was very moist and delicious. We controlled ourselves from eating it quickly, as it was so good, but we were able to eat it calmly, while it continued to rain. We had four pieces each, and we gave it a score of 10. We want to repeat it another day. Once we finished, we watched the children playing nearby and slowly walked home to end the day.
Y justamente sobre el sabor debo decir que la masa estaba bien crujiente y, para ser pequeña, tenía bastante queso y estaba bien jugosa y deliciosa; nos controlamos para no comerla rápido, ya que estaba buenísima, pero pudimos comerla con calma, mientras seguía lloviendo. Fueron 4 pedazos para cada una y le dimos una puntuación de 10, queriendo repetir otro día, y una vez terminamos, nos quedamos viendo a los niños que estaban jugando por allí y nos fuimos poco a poco a casa caminando para así finalizar el día.
The truth is, we really enjoyed the day. Even though it rained and we got a little wet, we had a great time and were able to do a few things and give each other this Children's Day gift to maintain the tradition. So, that was our day, and how was he? I hope he likes it.
La verdad, disfrutamos mucho el día; aunque llovió y nos mojamos algo, la pasamos muy bien y pudimos hacer varias cositas y darnos este regalo del Día del Niño para mantener la tradición, y pues eso fue nuestro día y él cómo estuvo, esperando que sea de su agrado.
