Hello my dear Hivers!
Today’s blog is actually a continuation of one of my older blogs. I totally forgot about it!
Anyway, if you remember from my last blog, I talked about how we all gathered again, and one of the reasons we met up was because I was going to pick up the kitten that Keziah was giving me.
But before we got the kitten, we had dinner first at Keziah’s place. Like I mentioned before, we cooked sardines with eggs, and here it is!
After we finished cooking, we went outside their house where the table was set up. So we just decided to eat there together.
Some of us had to stand up while eating because of the too high table in proportion to the chairs. As we dined on, our conversation also went toward what we could do in the coming weeks since the second semester is finally over, and we are now on a long break. We’ve really been making sure the plans push through this time because the last time we talked about swimming (which was last month, I think?), it never happened. We had a one-week break earlier this month but no one took the lead, and most of us were just waiting on each other’s decisions.
Good thing this time, someone brought it up again so we’re finally planning seriously. We had a lot of beach options. Remember when we swam in Moabog last month or so? I told them I liked it there because it was free, clean, and the water was super clear. But the problem is, it’s far and not all of us have rides or are willing to take one since most of us just commute. Well, we also considered San Remigio and Medellin. They're also good but during the low tide it's really low and full of sea urchins, which personally, I wouldn't want to deal with. I'd rather deal with rocky areas than risk stepping on those urchins.
We’re still deciding where to go, depending on what fits our budget.
By the way, during weekdays when we have classes and hang out, we all chip in ₱10 each. Since there are 8 of us in the group, we manage to save up quite a bit. We’re planning for an overnight trip if we all get permission. But if most of us can’t stay overnight, then we’ll skip it.
Anyway, after chatting and planning for a while, we shifted topics and talked about the kitten I was about to take home. They were saying things like, “Try going near it and let’s see if it’ll come to you.” When I tried to touch the kitten, it wasn’t scared at all, super friendly. Then Keziah and her dad asked me what I was going to name it. I answered, “Peanut.” They said the name fits well because the kitten’s fur is a mix of orange and yellow.
A few minutes later, I brought the kitten home since I had a container with me. But before we went home, they all had balut. I did want to have some too, but being already full, I really don't want to overstuff myself. So, all that I said was "You guys enjoy, eat well!"
After they all had their fair share of balut, home we went. As soon as I reached home, I took that kitten under a shower and settled it in its new home.
That's all for the blog today, my dear Hivers.
Thank you for reading! 🐾
