After graduating from medical school 💊 if you decide to pursue a post graduate degree as it is for example gynecology and obstetrics, surgery , pediatrics , etc each post graduate degree has a different duration according to each medical specialty . For example here gynecology and obstetrics has a duration of 3 years, so at the end of the year there is a small party or celebration 🎉 which is called "promotion" where if you were R1 you become R2 and if you were R2 you become R3 and so on (to clarify R1 is the abbreviation for Resident of first year of the post degree, R2 then is resident of second year of post degree and so on).

Por ejemplo aquí ginecología y obstetricia tiene una duración de 3 años , por lo cual al cumplirse el año se realiza una pequeña fiesta o celebración 🎉 a la cual se le denomina “ascenso” en donde si eras R1 pasas a ser R2 y si eras R2 pasas a ser R3 y así sucesivamente ( para aclarar R1 es la abreviatura de Residente de primer año del post grado , R2 entonces es residente de segundo año de post grado y así sucesivamente) .

El hecho es que este año los últimos del mes de diciembre estuve invitada junto a mi grupo de guardia al ascenso de mis doctoras y me sentí muy contenta de verlas lograr una meta y poder subir un escalón más en esta hermosa pero tan sacrificada carrera , y sé que no es fácil llegar hasta donde ell@s están , por lo cual las admiro mucho y deseo porder llegar a a ser igual de buen ser humano , entregada y resistente igual que todos ell@s .

La pasamos muy bien , compramos comida , pasapalos tanto dulces como salados , los residentes de primer año se encargaron De realizar la decoración y una de mis compañeras ayudó a realizarle unos pequeños detalles , además también mandaron a comprar una decoración con luces y lentejuelas y creo que todo quedó muy bonito .

Todos fuimos realmente felices ese día y disfrutamos bastante con ellos , sus ascensos y toda la música que había .
