Hello wonderful Hivers, @Pearlyshelll here—inviting you once more into a chapter of my life, written in real time and remembered with care.
I’m back with another fun story to share with you. This one is very special because it’s about a night I spent with my two close friends at a beautiful place called Pier 88 in Liloan. We didn’t plan it ahead, but it turned out to be one of the best nights ever! We enjoyed the fresh air, the lights, the food, and most of all—each other’s company. I’m excited to tell you all about it, so come and read our happy little adventure!
Last night, we decided to go to Pier 88 in Liloan, also known as Liloan Boulevard—a popular tourist spot near our hometown. I will always remember the memories and happiness we made at Pier 88 with these two beautiful ladies—my classmates and friends, Lara and Nichole. Nichole is always with me wherever I go.
Before we came to this tourist spot, my friends and I were at school. We were completing our tasks before the final grade-giving. Our instructor allowed us to go home early because we had already finished our compilation. Since it was still early and we were tired, we decided to go somewhere to relax—we felt we deserved it.
I live here in Liloan, but these two girls don’t know much about Pier 88. They only saw it on social media. So I decided to bring them there, and they both agreed. They also wanted to visit Liloan Boulevard.
When we arrived, I started telling them how beautiful the place is. I told them I usually come here every weekend—either Saturday or Sunday—because I really love the food, the fresh air from the sea, and the beautiful lights lined up in the middle. Many people from other places also come here, maybe because of the many food choices. Some just stay to relax and enjoy the sea breeze.
*OUR REACTION WHEN WE SAW THE SIGN PIER 88
When we saw the Pier 88 sign, we all got so excited! It was our first time together in this place, and the sign made it feel real. We smiled, “Wow, we’re finally here!” The sign looked big and nice, and it felt like it was welcoming us. We were so happy and started taking pictures right away. Seeing the sign made us feel proud and thankful that we came. It was like the start of a new memory, and we knew this night would be special.
When we got there,
I loved their reaction. They were so happy to see Pier 88 in real life. They said, “I want to come back here and buy all the food!” (That was a joke, but honestly, that’s my goal too—that’s why I always come back here!)
When we went inside the gate, we were amazed by the view of the sea, especially because we could see the moon. Lara and I love the moon, so we quickly decided to take pictures with it. We stayed for around four hours, talking about our first-year college life. We were so proud of ourselves because we are finally going to second year, even though we struggled a lot during our first year.
To be honest, first year was really hard. We were still adjusting to busy schedules and many new things. College life is very different from junior high school. We talked about how many times we cried because of our grades and scores—hahaha! But yes, finally, we’re ready to open a new chapter in our journey—second year, and we’re excited about it! That’s part of our “chika” for the night.
Actually, before we took photos, we ate some food. But because we were so hungry, we forgot to take pictures of the food—hahaha! Still, all the food we tried was very delicious and worth it. We didn’t waste our money.
After eating, we took many pictures because we wanted to show them to our other friends who are not here right now. We took a lot of photos—for the memories.
We also took a picture of me with the background of Pier 88. The place looked so pretty at night because of the many lights shining all around. It was really bright and colorful. The lights made the pier look even more beautiful and magical. I was so happy to take that photo because the place behind me looked so big and wide, with the sea and the lights together. It’s one of my favorite pictures that night!
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THERE FOODS
The food at Pier 88 is really delicious and worth the price. There are many small food stalls where you can choose different kinds of meals and snacks. They sell grilled meat, seafood, burgers, fries, milk tea, fruit shakes, and even desserts. Everything smells so good! That night, we were so hungry that we ate right away and forgot to take pictures—hahaha! But every bite was amazing.
The food was fresh, tasty, and served hot. My friends and I enjoyed every meal. We felt happy because the food made us full and satisfied. We didn’t waste our money at all. If you visit Pier 88, make sure to try the food—it’s one of the best parts of the place!
NOW LET'S TALK THE PLACE
The Nice Lights at Night
At night, Pier 88 becomes very beautiful because of the nice lights in the middle. The lights are bright and colorful, and they shine around the whole place. It feels like you are in a special place, almost like a party or a festival. The lights make it perfect for taking pictures, and they add a magical feeling to the night. When you stand there and look around, everything looks peaceful, happy, and alive. That’s why I really love coming here at night.
Sitting Beside and Watching People and the Sea
One of the best things about Pier 88 is that you can sit beside the sea. There are many benches and spots where you can relax and just look around. You can see people walking, laughing, eating, and taking photos. It feels good to watch them having fun. You can also just sit there and look at the sea, feel the fresh air, and think about life. It’s a peaceful place, perfect for chilling and talking with friends.
The Sunset in the Afternoon
If you come to Pier 88 in the afternoon, you can see the beautiful sunset. The sky turns into orange, pink, and purple colors, and it looks like a painting. The sun slowly goes down into the sea, and it’s such a peaceful moment. Many people take pictures of the sunset because it’s so lovely. Watching the sunset with your friends or family feels special. It’s a great way to end your day—with a quiet, beautiful view that makes your heart feel calm.
WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE BEAUTIFUL?
Pier 88 is beautiful because it has a peaceful and relaxing feeling. The fresh air from the sea is so nice, especially at night. The lights around the pier make it look bright and magical, like a place in a dream. You can hear the sound of the waves, see the moon in the sky, and feel calm. There are many food stalls with yummy food, and people are smiling and enjoying their time. The place is clean, wide, and perfect for taking pictures. What makes it even more beautiful is being there with your friends or family, making good memories together.
HERE'S THE CONCLUSION
In conclusion, that night at Pier 88 with Lara and Nichole was one of the best nights I’ve had in a long time. It wasn’t planned, but sometimes the unplanned moments are the most special. We laughed, shared stories, and made memories we’ll always remember. The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the lights made everything feel magical. But more than the place, what made it truly beautiful was being there with my friends.
If you ever want a place to relax, eat, and enjoy the sea breeze with your loved ones, I really recommend visiting Pier 88 in Liloan. Thank you so much for reading this chapter of my life, and I hope you also make happy memories just like we did. đź’—
