Hello, there! It's good to see you again! How've you been? I hope you've been doing well. For those who are new here, I am delighted you are here. Welcome! I hope you enjoy and learn from here. Today I'd like to tell you the way I discovered my closest companions.
I never expected to become friends with them, but I'm glad I did. I was a fairly introverted student last year, when face-to-face lessons resumed. I sat on the very edge, near the back door. I don't have a seatmate because we're one seat apart to follow the one distance protocol. I once became close to this girl. She was incredibly nice and enjoyable to chat to, and although we rarely speak, we get along well (or so I think). We're not as close as we we're before, but that's okay, she met someone who shares her energies and I'm happy for her.
During lunch time we ate lunch together and one of her churchmates joined us. Her chuchmate brought her friends and we were eight individuals at the time including myself. We all talked about oneself and laughed while eating. It was enjoyable. I hope it lasts forever, though. But to my surprise, it did! I cherish them as if they were family. Although we don't have the same tastes, we respect that. Every birthday, we all celebrate it and give gifts.
Since then, birthdays have never become boring anymore. We all plan things out before the birthday comes and surprise the birthday girl in the funniest or loveliest way possible. Since we do not have the same religion, some people can't celebrate some events like Christmas, festivals, and many more. But we always come up with the idea to not leave anyone behind and celebrate our own on different dates. Though sometimes they can't come because they have a strict parents.
Not only do we just go out to have fun, but we also study together. All of us do well in school. There are three that are with high honor, and the others are with honor. Since we are in special training education, we have to maintain our grades. Last year, I was able to get a high honor in the third and fourth quarters, and I'm so glad that my grades have improved since I met them. Sadly, the final average is only with Honor, but still, it was a wonderful experience.
This year, we were separated. Some of them already have new friends, and so do I, but that does not change the fact that we're not friends anymore. If we have time, we all eat together and talk about what we've missed. We still continue to celebrate birthdays and study together before exams.
Like always, after periodic exams, we all celebrate our hard work. Though sometimes it is not a big celebration we just go to the shore to watch the sunset and go home but most importantly a quality time together. I'm hoping this doesn't change next year. Despite the fact that one of us will be moving to a different place, I'm hoping that we will still be friends the next time we encounter again.
I've never experienced this kind of friendship before, so I'm afraid that I'll lose them. When I was in elementary school, I experienced racism in our school. Racism is not limited to darker skin, but also to whites. In order to fit in, I tried my best so that they would like me. Eventually they did, but I became one of the bullies. When my cousin transferred to my school, I was really happy that I'm not the only one who's white. I'm hoping that they will welcome her nicely since we're cousins. But later on, I realized that she was made fun of and taken advantage of in their classroom. We were not in the same section, so I was unable to assist her. I was confused about why she didn't join my friends, but now I understand. I'm really not happy with what I've been doing in elementary school, and I regret it. I know there is no such thing to turn back time that is why I badly want to change in high school. I believe that it is never to late to change for the better. I'm not criticizing them because they helped me transformation to a better p, therefore thank you. Always remember that you don't have to change yourselves to obtain a real friend. Simply be yourself, and they will soon arrive.
Thank you for taking the time to read it. I hope you learned something from this blog. Wishing you luck as you build your social circle.
