This week we started with two days of vacation due to the celebration of the carnival festivities and in principle we were planning to enjoy it at home, however some friends from the wedding group invited us to have soup at their house and in fact it had been planned in advance but in view of the economic situation and that we do not have the resources or at least we are measured I had to say no.
Esta semana iniciamos con dos días de vacaciones debido a la celebración de las fiestas de carnaval y en principio teníamos pensado disfrutarlo en casa sin embargo unos amigos del grupo de matrimonio nos invitaron para una sopa en su casa y de hecho se había planificado con anticipación pero en vista de la situación económica y que no contamos con recursos o por lo menos estamos medidos tuve que decir que no.
But while we were at home, one of those friends from the group called me and insisted that I go and not worry about the money, that he knows that the situation is difficult but that he would like the whole family to be present, especially because his children and my children are very good friends and that way they can take advantage and have fun playing.
Pero mientras estábamos en casa me realizaron una llamada uno de esos amigos del grupo y me insistió que fuera y que no me preocuparas por el dinero que sabe que la situación está difícil pero que le gustaría que estuviésemos presentes toda la familia más aún porque sus hijos y mis hijos son muy amigos y así aprovecha y se divierten jugando.
So I decided to go and my husband and the kids got ready to go and share with them. The trip would be long since they live in another city and in fact it is almost at the other end of that city while we live at the other end of the city of Barquisimeto so it would be a long trip, however we went well prepared with fresh clothes and enough water and thank God we had fuel to get there.
Así que decidí acceder y nos alistamos mi esposo y los niños para ir y compartir con ellos. El viaje sería largo Ya que ellos viven en otra ciudad y de hecho es casi a la otra punta de esa ciudad mientras que nosotros vivimos en la otra punta de la ciudad de barquisimeto por lo que sería un recorrido largo sin embargo nos fuimos bien preparados con ropas frescas y suficiente agua y que gracias a Dios teníamos combustible para llegar hasta allá.
We had an incredible day, the soup was spectacular and everyone in the group then started playing with water bombs and getting wet as is typical at carnival celebrations here in Venezuela, but I really don't agree with that so neither I nor my wife or my children participated. There were also others in the married group who preferred to stay away even though it was fun to watch them laugh and have a nice time.
Pasamos un día increíble la sopa estaba espectacular y todos los del grupo luego se pusieron a jugar con bombas de agua y mojándose como lo es típico de las fiestas de carnaval aquí en Venezuela pero realmente yo no estoy de acuerdo con eso por lo que ni yo ni mi esposa ni mis hijos participamos también habían otros del grupo de matrimonio que prefirieron apartarse aunque era divertido verlos Cómo se reían y pasaban un momento agradable.
We were there almost all afternoon since we arrived after 3 until 9 at night when everyone was already saying goodbye, but the truth is that we had a great time, we enjoyed a delicious soup, coffee, bread, cake and a nice time with friends and family because practically everyone treats each other like a big family.
Estuvimos casi toda la tarde ya que llegamos luego de las 3 hasta las 9 de la noche cuando ya todo se estaban despidiendo pero la verdad la pasamos muy bien disfrutamos de una rica sopa café pancito torta y un tiempo agradable con amigos y en familia porque prácticamente ya todos nos tratamos como una gran familia.
