Hoy les cuento sobre todo lo dulce, y es que como les contaba en mi post anterior hace poco fue mi cumpleaños. Y en vista de que han sido muy variados, tampoco es que han sido muchos, no estoy viejita jajaja, unos cuantos porque aún la juventud me acompaña; pero he tenido de todo.
Hello Beautiful People! This past week has been a lot of running around and running around. But it has been a lot of good and rewarding things. This one was full of knowledge and moments with a particular taste between sweet and bitter, with incredible aromas and wonderful people.
Today I tell you about all the sweet things, and as I told you in my previous post, it was my birthday a little while ago. And since they have been very varied, not that there have been many, I'm not old hahaha, a few because I'm still young; but I've had everything.
Pues este día fue como una bocanada de aire fresco porque tenía cerca a esas personitas que amo muchísimo y que siempre hacen todo más genial. Eso hizo olvidar el mal sabor del cumpleaños pasado jajaja.
Y es que tuve la dicha de disfrutar junto a ellos. La verdad fue mucho más de lo que me esperaba, porque como dije no soy fan de los pasteles. En realidad amo más celebrar a otros que organizar una celebración para mí misma. Y los pasteles me gusta más fotografiarlos que comerlos.
Well, this day was like a breath of fresh air because I had close to those little people that I love so much and that always make everything cooler. That made me forget the bad taste of the last birthday hahaha.
And I had the joy of enjoying myself with them. The truth was much more than I expected, because as I said I'm not a fan of cakes. Actually I love more to celebrate others than to organize a celebration for myself. And I like photographing cakes more than eating them.

Pero agradezco mucho el gesto de quienes se preocupan por celebrarme o pasar conmigo ese día. Son ellos quienes lo hacen bonito y especial con su compañía.
Celebrar a otros me ha especializado en sorpresas, lo cual hace difícil que logren sorprenderme. Pero debo confesar que este año, lograron hacerlo. Todo gracias a @elizabeth14 que entre tanta cosa se las ingenió para junto a mis padres hacer ese día muy especial.
But I am very grateful for the gesture of those who care enough to celebrate me or spend that day with me. They are the ones who make it beautiful and special with their company.
Celebrating others has specialized me in surprises, which makes it difficult for them to surprise me. But I must confess that this year, they managed to do it. All thanks to @elizabeth14 who, among so many things, managed to work with my parents to make that day very special.
Ella, en pleno uso de su rol de hermana mayor (aunque no lo crean ella no es tan viejita, ni yo tampoco) se dió a esta tarea y en realidad, lo logro, porque no lo veía venir. Yo estaba súper relajada todo el día.
Ya de antemano había aceptado (inocentemente) su invitación a cenar con todos ellos (su familia). Sin sospechar que pudiera haber algo más. Incluso me emocionaba más solo comer en casa jajajaja, ahora que lo pienso mientras escribo es que entiendo porque cambio el plan. ¡Ya que la sorpresa fue en su casa!
She, in full use of her role as big sister (believe it or not she is not that old, neither am I) took on this task and actually, she succeeded, because she didn't see it coming. I was super relaxed all day.
I had already (innocently) accepted her invitation to have dinner with all of them (her family). Not suspecting that there might be more to it. I was even more excited just to eat at home hahahaha, now that I think about it as I write I understand why I changed the plan, since the surprise was at their house!
Inicialmente ella haría pizzas en casa y comeríamos mientras me ponía al día con la serie que aún no logro ver (y que ellos han atrasado un poco esperando por mí para continuarla), Los Anillos de Poder. Y eso me parecía un plan genial. Hasta lamente un poco el cambio de planes (Quiero mi pizza en casa).
A mí familia le encanta mucho comer, sobretodo a Eli, que no pierde una ocasión para hacerlo. Yo habría Sido feliz con un café, pero ella se habría quedado con hambre jajaja (¡lo siento, es la verdad!).
Initially she would make pizzas at home and we would eat while I caught up on the series I still don't get to watch (and they've fallen a little behind on waiting for me to continue it), The Rings of Power. And that sounded like a great plan to me. I even regretted the change of plans a bit (I want my pizza at home).
My family loves to eat a lot, especially Eli, who never misses an occasion to do so. I would have been happy with a coffee, but she would have stayed hungry hahaha (sorry, it's the truth!).
Así que me invitó a un sitio que le gusta mucho, se llama Parrilladas El Primo. Lo bueno es que me dejó escoger que comeríamos 🤭 Ella ama la carne, pero yo escogí pescado. Créanme, eso fue un gran acto de amor de su parte. ¡Ella ama la carne!
So she invited me to a place she really likes, it's called Parrilladas El Primo. The good thing is that she let me choose what we would eat 🤭 She loves meat, but I chose fish. Believe me, that was a great act of love on her part, she loves meat!
Luego de eso, y en vista de que aún era temprano, me dijo para ir a su casa y ver la serie como ya habíamos planeado anteriormente. Y yo creyendo que ya eso no iba, casi me regreso a mi casa. Así que acepte bien inocente de todo su plan.
Al llegar a su casa me pidió que la ayudará subiendo a Joaquín, su hijo menor. Yo acepte como algo normal. Busco una excusa para atrasarse y me dió las llaves para ir abriendo la puerta de la casa mientras ellos venía detrás de mí.

Justo al encontrarme junto a la puerta y con Joaquín en mis brazos, escuché la voz de un niño, y no, no era el que yo tenía conmigo. Me detuve un momento y le dije a Eli: ¿escuchaste eso, es un niño? Ella naturalmente dijo: seguro es el hijo del vecino. Pero al volver a oírlo supe que el ruido venía de adentro de la casa.
Continué abriendo la puerta algo alerta con lo que podría encontrarme, porque tengo buen oído y sabía que esa voz provenía desde adentro. Pensaba en Joaquín que iba a entrar conmigo y no sabía que podría pasar.
Parecerá paranoico de mi parte, pero créanme, he visto muchas cosas.
Just as I was standing by the door with Joaquin in my arms, I heard a child's voice, and no, it wasn't the one I had with me. I stopped for a moment and said to Eli: did you hear that, is it a boy? She naturally said: I'm sure it's the neighbor's son. But when I heard it again I knew the noise was coming from inside the house.
I continued to open the door somewhat alert to what I might find, because I have good hearing and I knew that voice was coming from inside. I thought about Joaquin coming in with me and I didn't know what could happen.
It may seem paranoid on my part, but believe me, I have seen a lot of things.
Se reiran mucho, pero más que llevarme una sorpresa me lleve un susto justo al entrar en aquella oscuridad, se encendieron las luces de pronto y lo primero que ví fueron personas acercándose a mí y la expresión en mi cara no fue para nada lo que ellos esperaban mientras gritaban "sorpresa".
Para mí todo paso muy rápido, y luego de ese susto lo que hice fue echarme a reír de mí misma. Cuando les conté, todos reímos de lo ocurrido. Sucede que ellos no sabían cómo hacer que Santiago, el niño que yo escuchaba, guardara silencio.

Y obviamente yo jamás sospecharía de que Santiago estuviera ahí. Santi es el hijo de @rosmeris21, y que buen susto me dió. Jajaja.
Luego de tantas risas y felicitaciones de esas pocas pero muy especiales personas presentes, nos organizamos (porque con cuatro niños pequeños junto a un pastel en un mismo espacio hay que organizarse), y comenzamos a guardar recuerdos, o sea tomar fotos.
And obviously I would never suspect that Santiago was there. Santi is @rosmeris21's son, and what a scare he gave me. Hahaha.
After so many laughs and congratulations from those few but very special people present, we got organized (because with four little kids next to a cake in the same space you have to get organized), and we started to save memories, that is, take pictures.

Por cierto, cómo Amelie mi sobrinita también cumplió en el mes de septiembre (el 5 de septiembre), y no se le había festejado, compartimos el pastel y la celebración. Gracias a eso la canción del feliz cumpleaños fue solo una. Amelie no tiene tanta paciencia cuando se trata de comer jajaja.
By the way, since Amelie, my little niece, also had her birthday in September (September 5th), and she had not been celebrated, we shared the cake and the celebration. Thanks to that, the happy birthday song was just one. Amelie is not so patient when it comes to eating hahaha.
Cómo cada vez que la familia se reúne, hubo muchas risas y alboroto, aunque seamos pocos siempre logramos hacernos sentir al hablar. El pastel estaba hermoso y muy rico, era una torta de quesillo, una delicia típica venezolana.
La pasé super bien, aunque por supuesto me hicieron falta algunas personitas que están lejos, pero disfrute mucho con quiénes tenía cerca. Sin duda alguna siempre recordaré este cumpleaños gracias a Santiago y el susto que me lleve.
As every time the family gets together, there was a lot of laughter and commotion, even though there are only a few of us, we always manage to make ourselves felt when we talk. The cake was beautiful and very tasty, it was a quesillo cake, a typical Venezuelan delicacy.
I had a great time, although of course I missed some people who are far away, but I enjoyed a lot with those who were close to me. Without any doubt I will always remember this birthday thanks to Santiago and the scare I had.
