Good day, Hivers! In my previous blog, I shared with you my brother-in-law's visit to the Philippines for a short vacation. When he first arrived in Cebu, he treated us to a well-known resort called Westown Lagoon, located in Subangdako, Mandaue, Cebu.
We had an amazing time swimming in the pool, which was a great way to cool off from the heat. Everyone, especially the kids, had a blast. Once we got home, my partner and I immediately sent a message to his brother to thank him for the wonderful experience. He kindly responded and invited us for another meal the next day, specifically for his immediate family.
On the second day of his stay in Cebu, he treated us to a visit to Ayala Center Cebu, a well-known mall. When we arrived, my partner messaged his siblings and parents to let them know we were there.
We first met her father, followed by her sister-in-law, who suggested we wait inside the mall for our mother-in-law and the brother who would be treating us.

If you're interested in trying well-known Japanese dishes, I highly recommend this restaurant. Shabu-Way Hot Pot Cuisine is located on the 2nd floor, near the terraces of Ayala Center Cebu, in Cebu Business Park, Cebu City. The restaurant is inclusive, welcoming the LGBTQ community, and is also very accommodating to people in casual attire. It is a kid-friendly place, offering chairs for children.
If you plan to visit, you can choose to dine in or take out. Additionally, if you prefer staying home but are craving Japanese food, Shabu-Way Hot Pot Cuisine offers online delivery through their social media accounts or via Grab Food.

We played a lot of games, and everyone was laughing and excited. Although our initial plan was to let the kids play, the games inside Timezone were so tempting that we couldn’t resist playing ourselves. We had so much fun that we didn't realize the time and only heard the signal indicating that the mall was about to close. So after making the most of our time playing, we left and headed to the grocery store. Since we were close to closing time, we quickly did our shopping, and after buying what we needed, we all decided to go home.

My partner and I thanked his brother and wished him luck on his flight back abroad the next day and for his work there. We had a brief conversation, and once it was over, we said goodbye to my partner's parents and brother and prepared to go home. Given how late it was, we couldn't find any public transportation, so we decided to take a taxi, especially since we had kids with us. We quickly found a taxi and went home, as we were all sleepy from the day's activities. I really enjoyed that outing, and the next day, my brother-in-law left for another country. I’m grateful to him for not forgetting us and for making my whole family happy.
