Shell of Wings | A Mixed Media Art Project

For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to share a lovely theme of angel wings floating above a mountain range. I discovered a unique imge of a female encased in white wings. However, I wanted to change the appearance of the wings to a more dramatic color, so I used a filter to add various colors.

Deep Dream Generator is the filtering program I use. For the female in wings, it added a variety of my favorite colors, especially purple. The site performed an amazing job.

The background was a unique one with the mountains and skyline that added another dramatic layer.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures in pictures which begin with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
