Isaiah 53:5; But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him.
The pain our Lord Jesus suffered on the cross is unbearable and even unimaginable for some of us but he did endure it, and all that for ours sake that we may save from eternal damnation. He took the punishments that were due as for himself and things escalated so much so that God turned his back on him when the sins were laid on him, this was because God is holy and does not behold iniquity. But through all this, our savior persevered and the Will of God prevailed. Christ did die and i would like to remind us once again that it was for our transgressions but the time to mourn is past because He is risen.
We serve a living God, he who could not be overpowered by death nor the devil. He was acquitted of guilt because he never sinned, he is righteous and he has been given the power over everything including life and death and its seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. Lets be joyful and make Merry for our savior is risen and we get to experience eternal life. Halleluyah.
