Jeremiah 15:16; When your words came, i ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight.
When one converts anew into Christianity it is a beautiful thing to behold, the zeal with which they do things, their strong desire to do the will of God and to reach greater heights in following and abiding by the will and commandments of God as instructed by the scriptures. Some are able to keep the fire burning till the very end, whiles some quickly fade away. This is tends to come in when the world starts to reject them as they move more into the Christian-like life and reject the world. The two are incompatible, as we probably have learned that light and darkness can not thrive together, one would overwhelmed the other.
For us to keep our fire burning and our zeal up we need understand some basic things and thus becoming a Christian is not a guarantee of the most easiest of all lives, taking up your cross means going up against the world and the devil and he surely will oppose you. When we understand this we will not be dampened when this happens because we knew it would come and it would rather motivate us to give our all in fulfilling the commission as directed. With the Word in you and the Holy Spirit Guiding you, you will never fail and if you keep up the storm shall pass and the peace, serenity and prosperity that follows will take you to your destination.
