Luke 20:17-18 New International Version (NIV)
17 Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written:“‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’[a]? 18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”

I chose these two verses from the whole passage because I perceived something for myself in them.

I understand that if I do the work based on Christ Jesus, this is the best foundation for building, will have permanence, and allow us to continue to build upon myself; but if I do it on a different basis, not only will the play fall, but so will I.

Dad, I understand that your will from the beginning, by sending your son Jesus to die on the cross, was to unify all your teachings, principles, and precepts on him.

I know then that only by following Jesus' example will I be able to keep the commandments established by you and will receive each and every one of your promises.
