Holaaa amigos, hoy les quiero compartir otra de las tantas reparaciones que he ido realizando en mi hogar. Se trata de unas filtraciones que nos afectaron las paredes. Se pudo solucionar lo de las filtraciones y entre mi esposo y yo hicimos un gran equipo de trabajo para poner lindas las paredes nuevamente.
Yo no sabía aplicar estuco, así que aprendí, quizá no de la manera más perfecta, pero logré lo que quería, que era devolverles la vida a los espacios de la casa.
Lo primero que hice fue raspar la pared para quitar la pintura y parte del cemento que se había levantado por la humedad.
Hello friends, today I want to share with you another of the many repairs that I have been carrying out in my home. These are leaks that affected our walls. The leaks were solved and between my husband and I we made a great team to make the walls beautiful again.
I didn't know how to apply stucco, so I learned, perhaps not in the most perfect way, but I achieved what I wanted, which was to bring life back to the spaces of the house.
The first thing I did was scrape the wall to remove the paint and some of the cement that had risen from the humidity.
Después lo que hice fue preparar el estuco, que se hace mezclando este fino polvo con agua, se mezcla hasta que tenga una consistencia ni demasiado líquida ni demasiado espesa. Lo apliqué en los sitios que se había raspado la pared, luego que se secó lo lijé y volví a darle otra capa o en algunos sitios tuve que dar varias capas, finalmente se lija para que quede la pared lisa y sin desperfectos.
Then what I did was prepare the stucco, which is made by mixing this fine powder with water, mixed until it has a consistency that is neither too liquid nor too thick. I applied it to the places where the wall had been scratched, after it dried I sanded it and gave it another coat or in some places I had to apply several coats, finally it was sanded so that the wall was smooth and without damage.
Luego, mi esposo pintó esas paredes para que quedaran aun mejor, lo más difícil de este trabajo fue limpiar el polvo de estuco en la casa, porque es tan fino que se adhiere a todo.
Then, my husband painted those walls to make them look even better. The most difficult part of this job was cleaning the stucco dust in the house, because it is so fine that it sticks to everything.
