¡Hola Chicos!
Desde hace un tiempo tenía ganas de unirme a esta bonita comunidad de #HomeSolutions y al toparme con esta iniciativa me pareció una muy buena "excusa" para iniciarme con las publicaciones acá. Espero disfruten mi participación tanto como yo lo hice al realizarla. ♥
Una de las cosas que nos gusta hacer a donde sea que vayamos, es llenar nuestras paredes y espacios con piezas de arte creadas con nosotros, desde manualidades hasta pinturas. Esto nos hace crear un ambiente más agradable y más nuestro. Acá les comparto un pequeño fragmento de todo lo que tenemos en nuestro hogar que ha sido creado por mi o por mi esposo.
Normalmente suelo utilizar mis manualidades como material para alguna publicación, ya sea porque me nació la idea o porque estaba participando para algun concurso o iniciativa. Algunas de las piezas que les voy a compartir forman parte de eso último y por supuesto se los voy a contar. Pienso que no solo se trata de crear sino también darle un uso posterior a cualquier manualidad o arte que hagamos, pues si le dedicamos tiempo al hacerlo, tiene que luego dársele un espacio y uso adecuado.
Voy a comenzar de afuera hacia adentro. En la primera foto les enseño una maceta creada por mi con material reciclado. Esta era un vaso de anime en el que nos habían regalado helado. Yo suelo reciclar todo lo que puedo y este vaso me pareció excelente para hacer una maceta para una planta que me había regalado la abuela de mi esposo. La idea era pintarlo para que pareciera una maceta de verdad y le pinté unas flores para que luciera mucho más lindo. Tiene mas de un año desde que lo hice y aún me sorprendo por lo bien que se ha conservado, a pesar de que está afuera y a veces le cae agua. Definitivamente tengo que conseguir otros vasos para crear más macetas como esta.
En uno de los rincones de mi sala tengo dos objetos importantes, ambos creados para una iniciativa, el primero es un elefante-mariposa que cree para un concurso en el que debíamos crear un alebrije bien colorido. Desde entonces este elefantito ha estado decorando nuestro hogar, siempre le vamos cambiando de posición cuando limpiamos a profundidad la sala.
También tengo un cuadro con una mandala creada con tizas pasteles, esta también fue creada para una iniciativa aunque ya no recuerdo de que comunidad pues también fue hace varios meses atrás. Con el tiempo se ha ido borrando un poco pero el valor sentimental que tiene no me ha permitido borrarla y hacer otra cosa o crearla de nuevo.
En otra sección de la sala tenemos nuestros libros y sobre ellos hay una tablita de madera reciclada que pintó mi esposo. Esta es una tabla que pertenecía a una gaveta de un mueble de cuando yo era bebé, se podrán imaginar lo vieja que es. Mi esposo la recicló pintandola y ya tiene varios años acompañandonos. Es una manera linda de conservar algunos recuerdos.
Sobre esta tabla tenemos algunos CD's que pinté con óleos, este fue un pequeño proyecto que tuve en el que recreaba obras de arte famosas. La idea era crear varias obras y luego unir estos CD's de alguna manera para crear un gran mural. Esto está pausado, pero si tienen alguna idea de con qué obra podría continuar me lo hacen saber en los comentarios.
En nuestra habitación tengo mi sitio de trabajo, ubicado en una esquina. En la pared tengo varias cositas pegadas, varias obras que también he compartido acá en mi blog. Unos son unos pequeños cuadros que tienen paisajes hechos en óleo, también tengo algunas mandalas y zentangle art.
Y ya para finalizar en uno de los pilares, también de la habitación, tenemos colgadas algunas pinturas que hice hace dos años para la temporada de Halloween. A mi esposo le gustaron tanto que quiso pegarlas ahí.
A mi esposo también le gusta la pintura y por supuesto no dudó en hacer unas obras de arte, el tiene un estilo más geométrico abstracto e hizo estas pinturas a modo de práctica para soltar un poco la mano. Igual nos gustaron mucho y al secarse las colgamos en nuestras paredes de la sala.
Prometo luego hacer una segunda parte, pues hay muchas cosas que quedaron por fuera. A modo de conclusión les digo, se pueden comprar piezas de arte, es válido, pero nada como algo creado por nosotros mismos para decorar el hogar. Lleva parte de nuestra esencia y además son cosas hechas con mucho amor. ♥

I've been wanting to join this nice #HomeSolutions community for a while now and when I stumbled upon this initiative it seemed like a very good "excuse" to start posting here. I hope you enjoy my participation as much as I did in making it. ♥
One of the things we like to do wherever we go, is to fill our walls and spaces with pieces of art created with us, from crafts to paintings. This makes us create a more pleasant environment and more of our own. Here I share with you a small fragment of everything we have in our home that has been created by me or my husband.
I usually use my handicrafts as material for a publication, either because I had the idea or because I was participating in a contest or initiative. Some of the pieces I am going to share with you are part of the latter and of course I am going to tell you about them. I think that it is not only about creating but also about giving a later use to any craft or art we do, because if we dedicate time to it, it has to be given a space and a proper use.
I am going to start from the outside in. In the first photo I show you a planter I created with recycled material. This was an anime cup in which we had been given ice cream. I usually recycle everything I can and this glass seemed excellent to make a pot for a plant that my husband's grandmother had given me. The idea was to paint it to make it look like a real pot and I painted some flowers on it to make it look much prettier. It's been over a year since I made it and I'm still amazed at how well it has held up, even though it's outside and sometimes gets water in it. I definitely need to get other vases to create more pots like this one.
In one of the corners of my living room I have two important objects, both created for an initiative, the first one is an elephant-butterfly that I created for a contest in which we had to create a colorful alebrije. Since then this little elephant has been decorating our home, we always change its position when we clean the living room.
I also have a picture with a mandala created with pastel chalk, this was also created for an initiative although I don't remember what community it was also several months ago. Over time it has been erased a little but the sentimental value it has has has not allowed me to erase it and do something else or create it again.
In another section of the living room we have our books and on top of them there is a little recycled wooden board that my husband painted. This is a board that belonged to a drawer of a piece of furniture when I was a baby, you can imagine how old it is. My husband recycled it by painting it and it has been with us for several years now. It's a nice way to keep some memories.
On this table we have some CD's that I painted with oils, this was a little project I had in which I recreated famous works of art. The idea was to create several works and then join these CD's in some way to create a big mural. This is on hiatus, but if you have any ideas of what artwork I could continue with let me know in the comments.
In our room I have my workspace, located in a corner. On the wall I have several little things glued, several works that I have also shared here on my blog. Some of them are small paintings with landscapes made in oil, I also have some mandalas and zentangle art.
And finally, on one of the pillars, also in the bedroom, we have some paintings that I made two years ago for the Halloween season. My husband liked them so much that he wanted to stick them there.
My husband also likes painting and of course he didn't hesitate to do some artwork, he has a more abstract geometric style and did these paintings as practice to loosen up his hand a bit. We still liked them very much and when they dried we hung them on our living room walls.
I promise to do a second part later, as there are many things that were left out. By way of conclusion I say, you can buy art pieces, it is valid, but nothing like something created by ourselves to decorate the home. It carries part of our essence and also are things made with love. ♥
