¡Hola, comunidad de #Hive y #SWC! Hoy quiero compartirles la primera parte de una experiencia inolvidable: mi viaje a Maracay para competir en la Copa Hive, 3ra edición. Esta historia está llena de retos, emociones y momentos que me recuerdan por qué amo lo que hago. 🌟 Todo comenzó el viernes, el día en que mi travesía cobró vida. Con energía y determinación, fui a comprar los boletos de autobús que me llevarían a esta nueva aventura. Apenas subí al autobús, supe que este viaje sería diferente. Aunque las idas y vueltas de otros viajes habían sido más llevaderas, esta vez el sueño me fue esquivo. Sin embargo, cada sacrificio vale la pena cuando estás en camino a algo tan grande. El lado positivo fue que, contra todo pronóstico, llegamos mucho antes de lo esperado. A las 7:30 de la mañana ya estábamos en Maracay, cuando pensábamos llegar alrededor del mediodía. ¡Un golpe de suerte que nos permitió aprovechar al máximo el día! Tras bajarnos, nos dirigimos al hotel. Aunque tuvimos que esperar un poco a que nuestras habitaciones estuvieran listas, no tardó mucho en llegar el momento de subir, acomodarnos y descansar. Más tarde, empezaron a llegar amigos y atletas que también participarían en el evento. La emoción se sentía en el aire. Pasamos un rato en la habitación compartiendo anécdotas y disfrutando de la compañía antes de buscar algo para almorzar. El almuerzo fue otro capítulo especial. Sabíamos exactamente a dónde ir gracias a viajes anteriores. Después de una caminata breve, llegamos a un lugar donde la comida era tan buena como lo recordábamos. Pedimos todo para llevar y, con bebidas en mano, regresamos al hotel. Tras saciar el hambre y con el cansancio del viaje pesando sobre nosotros, nos echamos a dormir un rato. Alrededor de las 5 de la tarde, despertamos con las energías renovadas. Visitamos a otros atletas en sus habitaciones para conversar, compartir historias y fortalecer el espíritu de camaradería que caracteriza a este deporte. Pero la noche tenía algo especial guardado para nosotros: decidimos salir a explorar la ciudad. Maracay estaba mágica, vestida con luces y decoraciones navideñas que iluminaban cada rincón. Fue un momento de calma y asombro que compartimos entre risas y buena comida. Yo, por mi parte, no pude resistirme y compré unos pastelitos en una plaza. Mientras caminábamos, los demás encontraron dónde cenar, cerrando así un día lleno de actividad. Regresamos al hotel algo tarde, pero satisfechos y listos para lo que vendría. Después de unas duchas revitalizantes, nos mentalizamos para el gran día que estaba por llegar y nos fuimos a la cama, con la emoción de lo que significaba estar allí, representando nuestro esfuerzo y dedicación. Y así concluyen los primeros dos días de este viaje, una mezcla de preparación, camaradería y momentos memorables. Hello, #Hive and #SWC community! Today I want to share with you the first part of an unforgettable experience: my trip to Maracay to compete in the Hive Cup, 3rd edition. This story is full of challenges, emotions and moments that remind me why I love what I do. 🌟 It all started on Friday, the day my journey came to life. With energy and determination, I went to buy the bus tickets that would take me on this new adventure. As soon as I boarded the bus, I knew this trip would be different. Although the comings and goings of other trips had been more bearable, this time the dream eluded me. However, every sacrifice is worth it when you're on your way to something so big. On the bright side, against all odds, we arrived much earlier than expected. By 7:30 a.m. we were already in Maracay, when we planned to arrive around noon - a stroke of luck that allowed us to make the most of the day! After getting off, we headed to the hotel. Although we had to wait a bit for our rooms to be ready, it wasn't long before it was time to go upstairs, settle in and rest. Later, friends and athletes who would also be participating in the event began to arrive. Excitement was in the air. We spent some time in the room sharing anecdotes and enjoying each other's company before finding something to eat for lunch. Lunch was another special chapter. We knew exactly where to go thanks to previous trips. After a short walk, we arrived at a place where the food was as good as we remembered. We ordered everything to go and, with drinks in hand, returned to the hotel. After satisfying our hunger and with the fatigue of the trip weighing on us, we lay down to sleep for a while. Around 5 p.m., we awoke with renewed energy. We visited other athletes in their rooms to chat, share stories and strengthen the spirit of camaraderie that characterizes this sport. But the night had something special in store for us: we decided to go out and explore the city. Maracay was magical, dressed with Christmas lights and decorations that illuminated every corner. It was a moment of calm and amazement that we shared amidst laughter and good food. I, for my part, could not resist and bought some cupcakes in a square. While we were walking, the others found a place to have dinner, thus closing a day full of activity. We returned to the hotel a little late, but satisfied and ready for what was to come. After a few revitalizing showers, we psyched ourselves up for the big day ahead and went to bed, with the excitement of what it meant to be there, representing our effort and dedication. And that concludes the first two days of this trip, a mixture of preparation, camaraderie and memorable moments. In my next post, I will tell you all the details of the big day of the event.
