Hi, friends!
Ford Fiesta R5 used to be car to beat in that R5 category (class) which is these days named as Rally2 class (WRC2 in the World Rally Championship). No other R5 car was able to beat Fords for some time and I remember that good. That was in the middle of last decade.
Italian rally ace Andrea Crugnola won the Italian national rally championship at least once but he showed his speed on an international tarmac rallies such as Rally di Roma which is part of European Rally Championship for years.
These days he still drives their championship but he changed the car brand. He is with the Citroen for years now and their car C3 Rally2 is super fast on the dry tarmac which is just a nature of most of the Italian rallies.
I also must add that Crugnola works as an instructor in Vittorio Caneva Rally School and this is one of the most prestigious tarmac rally schools in the world. So you can go there to learn something (it costs around 4000€ per weekend) and see how good teacher he is.
Today we have his drive from national rally called Rally dei Laghi and an event is very interesting because it's been held in the middle of winter so you can see snow beside the road and some nice damp conditions on the road.
Please learn and enjoy... :)
