Here in the glow of those last lingering moments before Christmas, I take pleasure in its warmth tonight, thoughts of family and friends, separated by time and space. Especially at this time of year, my love for them is realized, even more, taking the time.
I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. - Charles Dickens
This year seems so very special. Everything about it. It's lighter, brighter and the colors are brilliant! I am surrounded by family and I feel so very loved. Decorations adorn every space, lights are shining bright and there are people loving people - with their words and actions, I can clearly see the love tugging at many hearts. And because of this and the fact that it's Christmas, I pour out my love to all. Oh, Hark! I hear another angel!
“O Holy Night” by John Sullivan Dwight (based on the French text from Placide Cappeau’s Cantique de Noel)
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
'Til He appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O night divine, O night, O night Divine

Growing up, I learned of Guardian Angels. protectors and guides for us, as we are human. It wasn't until I grew up that I find that I have a great love for angels. Oh, Angels, we Have Heard on High.
May you be inspired by faith and covered by grace in the life you live. May you be blessed beyond measure and share your blessings with others.
The sounds of Christmas hymns float through the house, warming my heart along with a touch of spices over the fire. I could ignore it all and sense only the love, the purity of it, the sincerity that I feel. How else can I describe it except that it feels just like the true gift of this holy season? This is a season of love and giving. The greatest gift we can give is our love.
I draw from within, giving thanks to another year. I read the Christmas Box to remind me of what truly matters, that is the ultimate gift of the season- heart to heart. Blessings and goodwill to you, my friends.
I feel like I mapped a feeling, deep within, more of a yearning for this feeling of kindness, love, and a higher level of friendship to continue, long after the season is done.
And just like that, this show is over! I want to thank you for visiting my post. The support given to me is always appreciated and I thank you for that and as always, have a great day!
Love to all, Denise ❤️
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas
…So he paused. And the Grinch put his hand to his ear.
And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow.
But the sound wasn't sad! Why this sound sounded merry!
It couldn't be so! But it WAS merry! VERY!
He stared down at Whoville! The Grinch popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?"
"It came without ribbons! It came without tags!"
"It came without packages, boxes, or bags!"
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!”…
