I've been trying to think about new ways to photograph things, like changing my perspective on life - so I decided to try looking up.
How many of you walk into a restaurant and actually look up?
I think it's a good way to notice things that we would normally miss. A tree looks really different from the ground when you take a photo up into it instead of getting it full frame. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just like life.
Today I turned the corner to a new chapter and things are looking up. It looks positive that I might be changing jobs soon, as soon as next week and I'm feeling quite optimistic about the potential it has to revolutionize my current world and how I operate within the confines of life.
There are times when we have to slog away at things for little return and there are times when we can push through adversities if there's a goal at the end, but having no forward direction is a sure way to go nowhere fast.
The changes will mean early mornings, late evenings and very little time in-between but the perks of the opportunity outweigh the long days as this could open so many new doors afterwards for me so I am looking at it from that point of view as the possibilities in the event management sector from this position could set me up for great things further down the line.
For now, I'm feeling grateful to have got through to the final round of shortlisting and especially seeing that we are heading into the end of the year.
This year seemed to disappear very quickly as if time is speeding up somehow, I can't believe that we are heading into 2023 in just a few days. There weren't too many things I had lined up at the beginning of 2022 that I really wanted to achieve but the ones I did set out for myself, I completed and now I need to expand my outlook going forward and that includes looking up, being positive and optimistic, appreciating the moment and everything I currently do have and not worrying too much about things outside of my control.
Forward momentum is so important and finding your true direction and purpose in life can be challenging but is so necessary to propel yourself from one milestone to the next. I'm on the trip, jumping from one stepping stone to the next with a spring in my step and a smile on my face - because things are indeed, looking up.
