I was having a discussion with a friend, and he went on and on talking about how bad our current generation is and how hard it is to find a virgin in society. One thing that got me was how he kept comparing the olden days and the modern days.

Our forefathers all got married to virgins; it should be how disciplined ladies were back in the day. Even if a man marries four wives, they will all be virgins, but look at the current generation. You can hardly find a virgin among the ladies.
At that moment I stand to current him. Comparing the former days to the current one is like comparing the means of transportation to each other. It funny how people say there are no virgins anymore, they forget to know one fact. In the olden days, our forefather get married at a very young age. At the age of 20 to 25, most of them are married with children, and if one marries at 25 years of age, the person is considered to be someone who married late.
This older generation is exposed to sex at a young age. I am not trying to justify early sexual intercourse, but trying to compare the two generations and asking people to stay away from sex is like telling them to cut one part of their life away.
The current generation is so occupied with a lot of them that already take their time of thinking of settling down, and by the time they start thinking of this, they are in their 25 to 30 years of age. They have education to worry about, status to keep, home, job, and many other things to acquire before thinking of getting married.
Most people achieve all this at the age of 28 to 30. Are you saying they should keep out of having a relationship till then? How will they even be able to survive till then? If there is a relationship between two grown adults, then there is an 80% chance that sexual intimacy will happen at any given point in time.
So if a guy or a lady say they are not virgin, that doesn’t mean they are diseased or anything. If your partner is someone that can wait till the wedding night and you accept, its fine. Everything is based on mutual understanding of both parties.
This is just me thinking out loud on a Thursday. I hope you understand my point, and if you have anything to add or question, it is welcome.
