In my country, Nigeria, many young people—especially women—see marriage as a way to escape poverty. Some believe if the man has no money, then there is no love. They think once they marry a rich guy, all their problems are solved.
But that is not always true.
Marriage is not an escape route. It is not “flee-go” from hunger or hardship. If you marry someone just because of money, what happens when the money finishes or when hard times come?
Real marriage is about love, understanding, hard work, and partnership. It’s about two people coming together to support each other, grow together, and build a life filled with peace and joy.
