An untimely call on Sunday afternoon brought me out of a deep sleep and out of the house. Usually, I don't go out on Sunday afternoon. But it was an invitation from my nephew Daniel to eat a delicious asopado of oriental seafood, which he prepared himself. The streets were lonely and desolate, in my city. It seems that we are playing Stop and Go and we are static and not knowing where to go. We used to play this game as children. Soon the sun will rise and with it new hopes.
Life goes on and little by little we will jump over obstacles and move forward. Smiles will return and we will make our dreams come true. But for that we have to work, not let them stab you and eat you. Every day we must renew ourselves and put our hearts into it because I know we still have time to achieve our goals. But we must keep our eyes open, just in case we meet people along the way who, when you turn your back, try to eat you alive.
Sometimes we find a huge crab with big sticks that try to block our way and eat us. But don't give up and fight them. Yesterday I ran into a big fat one. He looked at me and I looked at him, but I won. I ate it whole and sucked the roe, it's what I like best and I had no roe.
Life is like that!
As long as there is life we have the opportunity to restart and set new goals. Maybe sometimes I believe in pregnant birds as Abuelita Bertita's used to say, but my heart tells me that you can achieve your dreams and make them come true. But... don't be afraid of the crabs and their band of outlaws.

Una llamada intempestiva el domingo en la tarde me saco de un sueño profundo y de casa. Generalmente, no salgo el domingo en la tarde. Pero era una invitación de mi sobrino Daniel a desgastar un delicioso asopado de marisco oriental, que el mismo preparo. Las calles estaban solas y desoladas, en mi ciudad. Parece que jugamos Stop y estamos estáticos y sin saber hacia dónde dirigirnos. Este juego solíamos hacerlo de niños. Dentro de poco saldrá el sol y con las nuevas esperanzas.
La vida continua y poco a poco saltaremos obstáculos y saldremos hacia adelante. Volverán las sonrisas y haremos realidad nuestros sueños. Pero para eso hay que trabajar, no dejar que te apuñalen y te coman. Cada día hay que renovarnos y poner el corazón porque sé aún estamos a tiempo de lograr nuestras metas. Pero hay que tener los ojos abiertos, por si acaso nos encontramos personas en el camino que cuando des la espalda pretendan comerte vivo.
A veces nos encontramos un cangrejo enorme con grandes macanas que intentan bloquearte el paso y comernos. Pero no hay que rendirse y darle batalla. Ayer me topé con uno grande y gordo. Junto a su banda de forajidos camarones, pepitonas, tripas de perlas y pulpo. Él me miró y yo lo mire, pero yo gane. Me lo comí completito y me chupé las macanas, es lo que más me gusta y no tenía huevas.
¡La vida es así!
Mientras hay vida tenemos la oportunidad de reiniciarnos y trazarnos nuevas metas. Quizás a veces creo en pajaritos preñados como decía Abuelita Bertita´s, pero mi corazón me dice que si se puede alcanzar los sueños y hacer que se cumplan. Pero… no le tengas miedos a los cangrejos ni a su banda de forajidos.
