...it means you have practised a lot!
No matter the subject, it takes a lot of practice to reach that level.
It is also true that some people can become experts more easily; the path for them is relatively quick. If they have talent and affinity for something, if they pay attention naturally, then things will be learned more quickly and with more pleasure. The results are also visible. Giving your heart and passion into something is also a pure and straight way to reach the expertise level, of course, accompanied by dedicated practice.
Others can work hard and put a lot of effort into the learning process, and when the time comes to demonstrate their abilities, they can't present them in the way they expect of themselves.
Let's see... Yesterday we had the first concert with the piano students of the school. They are all excited when that day comes, they come prepared, nicely dressed and even if they don't always behave well in the classroom, on the concert day they are like angels hahaha. Some students perform better under pressure, when they play in front of an audience (their parents). However, some students' nerves make it so difficult to control themselves. The fear of committing mistakes makes them do exactly that — make mistakes. Their hands shake, and of course, this prevents them from playing well, the way they have learned. And besides, they have worked really, really hard to learn the pieces. That is certainly a pretty frustrating feeling. My poor student, Lauren (this is not her real name, of course)... she experiences the same thing every year. Her hands shake so much that she misses way too many keys while playing in front of other people; it is completely out of control, but she loves playing the piano, just not in front of the audience.
Today we have two more concerts and I hope everyone will play in the way they would like to, with their own, personal expertise. No pressure, no expectations, just a joy to play. 🎶

And if we talk about other matters and not just music... we can be experts in many things, or we just think we are. The other day, while waiting for my son's bus, I read an article about a photographer in a newspaper. It was an interview with him, actually. He "complained" that nowadays everyone considers themselves good at photography because the technology has evolved quite a lot. Basically, he says if you have a better phone or a photo camera, you think you are an expert in photography... Well, I don't think I am. These thoughts even block me, so as a consequence, I think I don't have anything nice to post, as nothing is really good. Can't I apply a bit of what I said at the beginning of my post... that giving our heart and personality into something can make the path more natural and well established? Can the chocolate box I got yesterday make things better hahaha?

The chocolate can make things just sweeter 😆, and with that taste, let me ask you:
What subjects do you consider yourself an expert in?
Is it something you have studied for, your hobby, or have you developed that expertise through love and dedication? Has blogging on Hive helped you become an expert, or at least good at a certain matter?
