A few weeks ago, while browsing the aisles of the supermarket looking for new products for my hair (as usual, hahahaha), specifically a styling cream, I came across a new line of products from the Sedal brand. It caught my attention that the packaging said they were silicone free, so, as a good follower of the curly girl method, I checked the ingredients to make sure they were suitable and both the conditioners and the styling creams were suitable.

Now I only needed to find the product that would suit my current needs, which I had very clear: hydration. I've been using a protein conditioner and a nourishing mask (with lots of oils) for almost three months now, so what was missing from my routine was hydration. Also, I had already started to get excessive frizz and that in my hair means it was lacking moisture. So I immediately noticed a couple of products that promised hydration, so I didn't hesitate to take them with me and try them at home.
From the first use I noticed the difference, especially with the styling cream, as I had been using one that saturated my hair too much and this one is considerably lighter, plus it left it extremely soft from the first use, I was absolutely fascinated with it. It had been quite some time since my hair had been so soft and shiny. Another benefit I have noticed is that it tangles a lot less, something that has always caused me headaches, now I can untangle it just with my fingers, as I did before.
Another thing I would like to point out is that I think these products are very versatile and adapt to all hair types. I have wavy hair and the ends are usually a bit dry, plus my scalp is really oily, so I need a versatile product, that was something I found in these two products, as I have managed to keep it hydrated without feeling heavy. And not to mention the scent, it's simply delicious, I don't know if I was tired of the previous products or what, but I love how they leave my hair smelling so good, and the most amazing thing is that the fragrance lasts from wash to wash.
The application is another positive point, the packaging allows easy access to the product, especially the conditioner, which I think is wonderful that it comes in that presentation, as it is super convenient and I'm sure it will be very easy to take advantage of all the product. Both have a texture that spreads smoothly, which makes the process simple and quick. Although I confess that I still dilute the styling cream a bit, just to make sure my hair doesn't get saturated, because as I mentioned, it happens to me too easily. But that, of course, is a matter of personal taste and needs.
Speaking of results, this duo has delivered on its promise of hydration practically 100 percent. That annoying frizz has diminished considerably, and my hair has regained a softness it hasn't had in a while. As for hair loss control, I can't give a real opinion, as I've never had a serious hair loss problem, other than normal postpartum hair loss. But it is still good to have products that help us prevent any inconvenience in this regard.
I think the only negative point I have been able to find so far is that, in the case of the styling cream, I have to be careful with the amount of product I apply, since on one occasion, by mistake, I overdid it and my hair looked horribly dirty (I mean that it gets saturated easily). Luckily, I didn't need anything more than rinsing it out with a little water to get everything back to normal without any major complications.
I definitely highly recommend these products. They are inexpensive, easy to find and best of all, they are curly girl friendly. So if you're looking for moisture, shine and easy to manage hair, don't hesitate to give this fabulous Sedal line a try. If I had to rate them I would give them a 4 out of 5 stars. They are almost a 5, they just need to be a little bit lighter for my taste. But overall, they are very worthwhile, I would definitely buy them again.
Probando una nueva línea de cuidado para el cabello: Quinoa Y Linaza de Sedal
Hace unas semanas, mientras recorría los pasillos del supermercado en busca de nuevos productos para mi cabello (como siempre, jajajaja), en específico una crema para peinar, me topé con una nueva línea de productos de la marca Sedal. Me llamó la atención que en el envase decía que no contenían siliconas, así que, como buena seguidora del método curly girl, revisé los ingredientes para verificar que fueran aptos y tanto los condicionadores como las cremas para peinar resultaron aptos.
Ahora solo me faltaba encontrar el producto se adaptara a mis necesidades actuales, la cual tenía muy clara: hidratación. Ya tengo casi tres meses usando un acondicionador con proteína y una mascarilla de nutrición (con muchos aceites), así que lo que le faltaba a mi rutina era hidratación. Además, ya había comenzado un exceso de frizz y eso en mi cabellera significa que le falta hidratarse. Así que enseguida me llamó la atención un par de productos que prometían hidratación, así que no dudé en llevarlos conmigo y probarlos en casa.
Desde el primer uso noté la diferencia, sobre todo con la crema para peinar, ya que había estado utilizando una que saturaba demasiado mi cabello y esta es considerablemente más ligera, además de que me lo dejó sumamente suave desde el primer uso, quedé absolutamente fascinada con ella. Había pasado bastante tiempo desde que mi cabello había estado tan suave y brillante. Otro beneficio que he podido notar es que ese enreda muchísimo menos, eso es algo que siempre me ha causado dolores de cabeza, ahora puedo desenredarlo solamente con los dedos, como lo hacía antes.
Otra cosa que me gustaría destacar es que considera que estos productos son muy versátiles y se adaptan a todo tipo de cabello. Yo tengo el cabello ondulado y las puntas suelen estar un poco secas, además mi cuero cabelludo es realmente graso, así que necesito un producto versátil, eso fue algo que encontré en estos dos productos, ya que he logrado mantenerlo hidratado sin llegar a sentirlos pesados. Y ni hablar del aroma, es sencillamente delicioso, no sé si estaba cansada de los productos anteriores o qué, pero me encanta cómo dejan mi cabello oliendo tan bien, y lo más sorprendente es que la fragancia perdura de lavado a lavado.
La aplicación es otro punto positivo, los envases permiten acceder al producto fácilmente, sobre todo el acondicionador, el cual me parece una maravilla que venga en esa presentación, ya que es supercómoda y estoy segura de que será muy fácil aprovechar todo el producto. Ambos tienen una textura que se esparce sin problemas, lo que hace que el proceso sea sencillo y rápido. Aunque les confieso que yo sigo diluyendo un poco la crema para peinar, solo para asegurarme de que mi cabello no se sature, porque como les he mencionado, me ocurre con demasiada facilidad. Pero eso, claro, es cuestión de gustos y necesidades personales.
Hablando de resultados, este dúo ha cumplido su promesa de hidratación prácticamente al cien. Ese frizz tan fastidioso ha disminuido considerablemente, y mi cabello ha vuelto a tener una suavidad que hacía tiempo no tenía. En cuanto al control de caída, no puedo dar una opinión real, ya que nunca he tenido un problema grave de caída del cabello, más que la normal del postparto. Pero igual es bueno contar con productos que nos ayuden a prevenir cualquier inconveniente en ese sentido.
Creo que el único punto negativo que les he podido encontrar hasta ahora es que, en el caso de la crema para peinar, debo cuidar la cantidad de producto que aplico, ya que en una ocasión, por error, me pasé de cantidad, y mi cabello se veía horriblemente sucio (a esto me refiero con que se satura fácilmente). Por suerte, no necesité nada más que enjuagarlo con un poco de agua para que todo volviera a la normalidad sin mayores complicaciones.
Definitivamente, les recomiendo ampliamente estos productos. Son económicos, fáciles de encontrar y, lo mejor de todo, son aptos para el método curly girl. Así que si buscan hidratación, brillo y un cabello fácil de manejar, no duden en darle una oportunidad a esta fabulosa línea de Sedal. Si tuviera que puntuarlos les daría un 4 de 5 estrellas. Casi llegan al 5, solo les falta ser un poquito más ligeros para mi gusto. Pero en general, valen mucho la pena, sin duda los volvería a comprar.
