Greetings, my dear skin care community. I hope you are doing very well, enjoying health and well-being.
These weeks have been very enriching at the level of knowledge and human relationships, as I have learned new things that I never considered, which opens a world of possibilities and, also, I have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people who come to expand my circle of new friendships.
Today, I want to share my learning experience yesterday in the Natural Cosmetics session that I did as part of the Inspire, Empower and Create workshop that I started the Friday before last, by Faramujer, the Foundation of Help, Rescue and Joy for Women, and that I commented on in this publication.

Estas semanas han sido muy enriquecedoras a nivel de conocimiento y de relaciones humanas, pues he aprendido cosas nuevas que nunca me planteé, lo cual me abre un mundo de posibilidades y, también, he tenido la oportunidad de conocer personas maravillosas que llegan para ampliar mi círculo de nuevas amistades.
Hoy, quiero compartir mi experiencia de aprendizaje del día de ayer en la sesión de Cosmética natural que realicé, como parte del taller Inspira, Empodera y Crea que comencé, el viernes antepasado, a cargo de Faramujer, la Fundación de Ayuda, Rescate y Alegría para la Mujer, y que comenté en esta publicación.
In this session of Natural Cosmetics, guided by a professional in the field, we were taught how to prepare a lip balm.
The workshop leader began with an introduction about the importance and benefits of natural ingredients and the purpose of some of the ingredients we were going to use in the preparation of the lip balm, for example: beeswax to give consistency and shea butter to nourish the lips.
A very interesting and enriching talk. After this we moved on to practice.
En esta sesión de Cosmética natural, guiadas por una profesional en la materia, nos enseñaron a preparar un bálsamo labial.
La tallerista comenzó con una introducción sobre la importancia, los beneficios de los ingredientes naturales y el propósito de algunos de los que íbamos a usar en la preparación del bálsamo labial, por ejemplo: la cera de abejas para dar consistencia y la manteca de karité para nutrir los labios.
Una charla muy interesante y enriquecedora. Luego de esta pasamos a la práctica.

The first thing we did was to put on gloves so as not to contaminate the ingredients. Then, we measured each ingredient accurately, using a scale.
Lo primero que hicimos fue ponernos los guantes para no contaminar los ingredientes. Luego, medimos cada ingrediente con precisión, utilizando una balanza.

She taught us how to melt the beeswax in a water bath, always making sure that the temperature was just right so as not to destroy the beneficial properties of the beeswax and the other ingredients we used, such as shea butter and cocoa butter.
Then, we added almond oil and calendula oil not only to give fragrance to the balm, but also to add therapeutic properties.
Nos enseñó a derretir la cera de abeja a baño María, siempre pendiente de que la temperatura fuera la adecuada para no destruir las propiedades beneficiosas de esta y de los demás ingredientes que usamos: como la manteca de Karité y la de cacao.
Luego, añadimos aceite de almendras y de caléndula no sólo para darle fragancia al bálsamo, sino también para añadirle propiedades terapéuticas.

Finally, we poured the mixture into the sterilized containers and waited for it to cool and solidify. I felt immense satisfaction for having created this balm with my own hands.
I went home satisfied with what I had learned, happy with the lip balm that I will be using these days and with the interest of preparing it at home when I run out.
So I will most likely buy the ingredients and everything I need to make it because it is very easy, clean and safe, as long as the necessary hygienic measures are taken to avoid contamination.
Doing this Natural Cosmetics session has been a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

Para terminar, vertimos la mezcla en los envasitos que ya habíamos esterilizado y esperamos que se enfriara y solidificara. Sentí una satisfacción inmensa por haber creado este bálsamo con mis propias manos.
Me fui a mi casa satisfecha con lo aprendido, feliz con el bálsamo labial que estaré usando estos días y con el interés de prepararlo en casa cuando se me acabe.
Así que lo más seguro es que compre los ingredientes y todo lo que necesito para hacerlo porque es muy fácil, limpio y seguro, siempre que se tomen las medidas higiénicas necesarias para evitar contaminación.
Hacer esta sesión de Cosmética natural ha sido una experiencia gratificante e inolvidable.
