Everyone experiences stress and anxiety on a daily basis. And even daily routines provoke either of the two episodes. Episodes that can be solved with a good relaxing massage when you get home.
For example, waking up in the morning and going to work generates stress. If we add to that the fear of being late for our activities, stress becomes anxiety, which is an emotional response of not wanting it to happen.
Relaxing massages for stress and anxiety are one of the best relaxation therapies to eliminate it completely, as it helps to relax the whole body completely forgetting about the problems and causes of stress.
To reduce stress through massage, it is recommended to massage the arms, legs, shoulders, feet, neck and abdomen.
Tips for back massage
We explain some things that are essential to keep in mind during a massage:
Use of relaxing oils and creams
A cream or oil can have some active principle or ingredient that helps you to relax more powerfully. There are many types of creams and oils, you can use the one you like the most. Just remember to use a small amount and spread it evenly over the entire back; it is not necessary to smear the person with cream, since more cream or oil does not mean more relaxation, and it will not allow you to have a good control over the tissues of the back that you will work on.
Do not provoke pain... Never!
When something hurts, the body's first reaction is to increase tension to protect, and more tension means more pain. We know that the back has many muscles: some are very large and are on the surface, but others are very small and are located much deeper. It is a matter of finding a balance: working with high pressure on the muscles, but not so much that it hurts.
Basic maneuvers for back massage
Do not forget to always check the breathing of the person you are massaging: it should be slow and steady. Also remember to keep a constant rhythm, no sudden changes of intensity or speed in the massage movements:
use creams or some type of lubricant to help the movement of the tense areas of the skin.
Separation of the tissues with the hands, from the center outwards.
Kneading of the tissues (with a little more intensity).
Pressure on both sides of the vertebral spines.
Sliding with forearms
Movement with the fingertips on the most tense areas.
and don't forget to ask the person how they feel if they like it or if there is pain.
Don't lose focus on the objective in order to have total success in the massage!
