The weather was stably sunny the last couple of days so the rainbow I saw early this morning was quite a surprise.
A pleasant surprise, of course. A great way to start a new week. This opening GIF was put together with a bunch of photographs I took from the balcony on the first floor of my house. I couldn't squeeze the entire rainbow into one photograph, so I took a series of shots to create a more panoramic view.
Here I zoomed in on one of the relatively distant houses across the street and the stretch of rainbow above its rooftop. In the following photograph ...
... you can see a fragment of rainbow reflected in the rear window glass of my car parked in the front yard.
Here you can take a good look at the aforementioned front yard. You can also see a small chunk of my neiberhood and the double rainbow above the small-town scenery.
In this shot, the focus is on the top of the colorful arch. When the following photograph was taken ...
... the rainbow was slowly disappearing.
This combination of the chimney and antennas looked a bit like a sculpture representing some kind of simplistic, cartoonish robot or something like that. The morning light definitely enhanced the scene and made the ordinary things look better than usual.
This panoramic picture was created with two photographs taken from the balcony.
Here I zoomed in on another fragment of the rainbow and some clouds behind it.
At one point, from the ground floor of my front yard, I took a wide shot that was able to hold almost the entire rainbow in it.
Here you can see a group of houses from my neiberhood in a scene photographed when the rainbow has completely disappeared.
AND THAT'S IT. THE WEEK STARTED IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY, GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A BUNCH OF ATTRACTIVE PHOTOGRAPHS WITHOUT THE NEED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE. WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE I'LL SEE TILL THE NEXT MONDAY HERE IN MY NEIBERHOOD. EPIC FLOCKS OF BIRDS? AMAZING CLOUDS RARELY OR NEVER SEEN? UNEXPECTED COMETS? UFOs? I HAVE GREAT EXPECTATIONS WHEN THE WEEK STARTS WITH THE RAINBOW.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE COLORS IN THE SKY. AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.
