Hello everyone! I send a huge greeting and of course a very happy new year 2025 to all of you, I hope that like me, you have that feeling that this year will be one of the most positive 🌸. Now yes, I introduce myself, My name is Albany, and I am new to this beautiful community that is Hive, it is a very great pleasure to greet you all. I'm 18 years old and I'm Venezuelan, I live in the state of Lara. The truth is, I consider myself a very multifaceted person, having very varied tastes.

I like art very much, mainly drawing, especially in a digital way, which is what I am currently exercising in a better way. At the university, I'm about to start the second semester in the career of plastic arts, although if I'm very honest with you, as much as I love to draw and paint digitally, I'm still thinking about it 😅

I'm a very creative person, as I mentioned before, I love to draw. My main interests besides that, are music, I love reading and writing, I love flowers, rain, I'm a hopeless romantic and an admirer of unique experiences. Since I was little, I have been interested in very different things that never had anything to do with each other haha, I was for dance, dance, ballet, flute, and other activities that I was leaving as I grew up, although they left me very good experiences and I always took it as a nice and childish journey of self-discovery.

I absolutely love nature, the sky, I am a very positive person always ready to experience everything I have the opportunity to experience. In the artistic field (which is what I want to focus this blog on) I would be lying if I tell you that it is something that I have always liked since I was a child. It's kind of funny, because most people who tell you about their passions say something like “Since I was very little I always liked it” which was absolutely not my case. In my childhood, I did like to draw, but I guess it's something that any kid likes.

During my pre-adolescence, I started getting interested in different skills, mainly graphic design. I remember doing a lot of research and practice making logos, discovering programs, designing flyers, it was so much, I even designed the flyers for my high school course and I received a lot of support from the people around me, so I created an instagram account focused solely on graphic design where I published some work I did, which made me happy because even being so small in age, I also received a lot of support, here is an example of my works💗

The first few months with this project and this account were pretty good and I always had the motivation to post. Although this was the case, over time it became tiresome and I began to detach myself from this account little by little, I simply felt a lot of obligation many times or I simply did not enjoy the process of continuing to move forward with it, although this account is still present on Instagram, I no longer post anything or make any movement on it, but I consider it as another important step of self-discovery, I still really like graphic design, but I thought it was healthier not to be there out of obligation.

Going through this point, it is also important to mention that I really like anime and manga, therefore, I also have some friends with those tastes. One of those friends in particular, showed me some incredible drawings that she made of her own characters, and based on this is how I began to get interested in digital drawing. I had the idea of ​​starting a manga, but I didn't want to just start with it without knowing how to draw well (I already have the story but I haven't drawn it yet🥲, goal for 2025) with this in mind, I started to practice drawing, at first, like everything, it wasn't easy and I had to practice a lot, it was a process of frustration and a lot of practice, but currently I can say that I am very proud of how much I improved in less than two years, it simply shows how powerful action and dedication are❤️‍🩹

Los primeros meses con este proyecto y esta cuenta fueron bastante buenos y siempre tuve la motivación para postear. Aunque así fue, con el tiempo se volvió cansado y comencé a desprenderme de esta cuenta poco a poco, simplemente sentía mucha obligación muchas veces o simplemente no disfrutaba el proceso de seguir adelante con ella, aunque esta cuenta sigue presente en Instagram, ya no posteo nada ni hago ningún movimiento en ella, pero lo considero como otro paso importante de autodescubrimiento, me sigue gustando mucho el diseño gráfico, pero pensé que era más sano no estar ahí por obligación.

Pasando por este punto, también es importante mencionar que me gusta mucho el anime y el manga, por lo tanto, también tengo algunos amigos con esos gustos. Una de esas amigas en particular, me mostró unos dibujos increíbles que hizo de sus propios personajes, y en base a esto es como empecé a interesarme por el dibujo digital. Tenía la idea de empezar un manga, pero no quería empezar así como así sin saber dibujar bien (ya tengo la historia pero aún no la he dibujado🥲, meta para el 2025) con esto en mente, empecé a practicar dibujo, al principio, como todo, no fue fácil y tuve que practicar mucho, fue un proceso de frustración y mucha práctica, pero actualmente puedo decir que estoy muy orgulloso de lo mucho que mejoré en menos de dos años, simplemente demuestra lo poderosa que es la acción y la dedicación❤️‍🩹.
