Como lo prometido es deuda, hoy les contaré un poco como estuvo nuestra aventura de regreso. Los que no han leído la primera parte de esta aventura, los invito a leer mi última publicación y luego volver a esta.

As promised, today I'll tell you a little bit about our return adventure. Bueno, luego de nuestra visita a la Universidad Central, teníamos una interrogante ¿Cómo íbamos a volver?
A la salida de la universidad, había una estación de metro "Ciudad Universitaria", y aunque no nos transmitía mucha confianza (lucía solitaria), decidimos que era nuestra mejor opción.

Well, after our visit to the Central University, we had a question: How were we going to get back?
At the exit of the university, there was a subway station “Ciudad Universitaria”, and although it did not transmit us much confidence (looked lonely), we decided that it was our best option.
Googleamos la ruta del metro y bajamos a explorar.

We googled the subway route and went down to explore.
La primera impresión que nos llevamos no fue muy buena. Las escaleras eléctricas no estaban funcionando.

The first impression we got was not very good. The escalators were not working.
Había una cola relativamente corta para conseguir las tarjetas del metro, pero duró una eternidad (una sola cajera, confusión en algunos usuarios, preguntas innecesarias, etc.), y si a eso le sumamos que no había aire acondicionado, la verdad no fue una experiencia muy placentera. Ya habíamos decidido usar el metro y había que esperar lo necesario.

There was a relatively short line to get the metro cards, but it took forever (only one cashier, confusion in some users, unnecessary questions, etc.). If we add that there was no air conditioning, it was not a very pleasant experience. We had already decided to use the subway and had to wait as long as necessary.
Cuando por fin llegamos a la taquilla, mi papá compró su tarjeta de metro. Y yo iba a pedir la tarjeta de metro para estudiantes. La señora vio mi cédula y me pidió un carnet estudiantil o una constancia de estudios. Cuando le dije que no tenía ninguno, me miró y me preguntó "¿Y como se yo que tú eres estudiante?" Me pareció, y disculpen la expresión, una completa estupidez, pero bueno, decidimos viajar con la tarjeta de mi papá y luego, en otra estación, comprar otra igual para mí (aunque sin el descuento estudiantil).

When we finally got to the ticket office, my dad bought his metro card. I was going to ask for the student metro card, but the lady saw my ID and asked me for a student card or proof of studies. When I told her I didn't have one, she looked at me and asked, “And how do I know you are a student?" It seemed to me, and excuse the expression, a complete stupidity, but well, we decided to travel with my dad's card and then, in another station, to buy another one for me (although without the student discount).
Luego de pasar a la zona de los trenes, al menos se sentía un poco de brisa, y la verdad me emocioné un montón. La estación estaba casi desierta, en parte porque la UCV estaba de vacaciones. Sin embargo, algunas personas comentaban que con las fallas del sistema metro en los últimos últimos años, muchas personas dejaron de usarlo.

After passing to the train area, there was at least a little breeze, and the truth is that I was very excited. The station was almost deserted, partly because the UCV was on vacation. However, some people commented that with the failures of the metro system in recent years, many people stopped using it.
Cuando revisamos la ruta vimos que debíamos tomar dos trenes, uno que nos llevaría de donde estábamos (línea 3) a la línea 1, y otro que nos llevaría a la estación más cercana a el apartamento.

When we checked the route we saw that we had to take two trains, one that would take us from where we were (line 3) to line 1, and another that would take us to the station closest to the apartment.
Había viajado una sola vez en metro cuando era pequeña y no lo recordaba así que esta sería oficialmente mi primera vez.

I had only ridden the subway once when I was little, but didn't remember it, so this would officially be my first time.
Nos montamos en el dichoso tren cuando llegó y estaba increíble, tenía aire y habían varios asientos disponibles. Fue bastante rápido y la verdad lo disfruté un montón.

We got on the train when it arrived and it was amazing, it had air conditioner and there were several seats available. It was quite fast and I really enjoyed it a lot.
El problema de las escaleras eléctricas parece ser la constante en cada estación.

The escalator problem seems to be the constant at every station.
Cuando llegamos a la linea principal nos bajamos para tomar el otro tren, pero al ser la linea principal, había el triple de gente que en la primera estación, así que cuando llegó el tren fue una carrera para entrar y yo tenia miedo de que no nos diera chance de entrar o que entrara uno y el otro se quedara. Sin embargo, logramos entrar casi sin problemas.

When we got to the main line we got off to catch the other train, but since it was the main line, there were three times as many people as at the first station, so when the train arrived it was a race to get in and I was afraid that we wouldn't get in or that one would get in and the other would be left behind. However, we managed to get in almost without any problems.
A diferencia del primer tren, este no tenía aire, no había asientos disponibles y no era muy cómodo que digamos. Había buhoneros caminando a lo largo del tren vendiendo cosas lo cual tampoco lo hizo mucho más grato. Al rato se desocuparon unos asientos y nos pudimos sentar. La chica del tren por el intercomunicador seguía repitiendo "señores pasajeros, se les informa que el tren tiene tiempo limitado de espera en las estaciones, acérquese a la puerta cuando se aproxime su estación" o algo así. Después de escuchar eso, pensé, "no aquí fue. No nos va a dar chance salir. Va a salir mi papá y me voy a quedar atrapada aquí."

Unlike the first train, this one had no air conditioner, no seats available and was not very comfortable. There were hawkers walking along the train selling things which didn't make it any more pleasant either. After a while some seats became available and we were able to sit down. The train girl on the intercom kept repeating, “Passengers, please be advised that the train has limited waiting time at the stations, come to the door as you approach your station” or something like that. After hearing that, I thought, “Now, this is it. We won't be able to get out. My dad's going to get off and I'm going to be stuck here.”
Así que apenas sonó nuestra estación, yo me puse en posición de carrera, y cuando se abrió la puerta casi salgo disparada hacía otro tren, pero todo salió bien y contra todo pronóstico sobrevivimos al metro.

So as soon as they announced our station, I got into a running position, and when the door opened I almost jumped into another train, but everything went well and against all odds we survived the subway.
Luego de salir de la estacion, empezamos a buscar algunas cosas que hacían falta en casa.

After leaving the station, we started to look for some things we needed at home.
En el camino, me compré un gorrito y le compramos uno a @manujune

On the way, I bought a beanie and we bought a different one for @manujune
También compramos mis zapatos escolares, que era algo que estaba pendiente, y seguimos buscando las cosas que faltaban, aunque no pudimos encontrar muchas. Cómo ya mencioné, la estación supuestamente mas cercana a nuestro apto, ciertamente no estaba muy cerca, así que tuvimos que tomar un autobús, que nos dejó justo en frente de la residencia.

We also bought my school shoes, which was something that was pending, and we kept looking for the missing things, although we could not find many. As I already mentioned, the station supposedly closest to our apt was certainly not very close, so we had to take a bus, which dropped us right in front of the residence.
Luego de un día súper largo, 4 autobuses de ida, 2 trenes y un autobús de vuelta, logramos por fin llegar a casa.
Fue un día súper divertido, algo cansón, pero lo disfruté muchísimo. Me alegro mucho que mi papá me acompañara a mi primera visita universitaria y a pesar de todo creo que tuvimos un buen día.

After a super long day, 4 buses one way, 2 trains and a bus back, we finally made it home.
It was a super fun day, a bit tiring, but I really enjoyed it. I'm really glad my dad went with me on my first college visit and all in all I think we had a good day.
