Hello dear friends of #aliento, today I want to share with you some of my experience using Syklo, which is an open source application to buy, sell, and store USDC (quote the text of the app)
HOW DID I MEET THEM?
I'm going to start by telling you how I met Syklo, and the truth is that they contacted me. They are doing a marketing campaign on social networks, this time we are talking about Twitter. I wrote them by DM to know more about the information they left me in a comment. And they explained me a little bit about their app, plus they gave me a few USDC to test them on the App. I was a bit scared (I must confess) and accepted. But it wasn't until the 28th of last month that I managed to understand the app a little bit.
I admit I had a lot of nerves because I am a bit slow to understand wallets and all the operation of peer to peer apps to exchange cryptos. And for that reason it took me a while. I was already giving up because I really didn't understand much. However, they offered me very good attention and every doubt I wrote, they helped me to dispel it, that gave me confidence in them.
WHY USE SYKLO?
- ACCEPT HBD'S
I found it a fabulous app to sell my HBD's, because they do accept our Hive stablecoin. But unlike other wallets, in Syklo there is one predominant currency and that is the USCD. You can buy, sell or share this currency. That is to say that the exchange you are going to make will always be based on collecting USDC in your wallet. The HBD is only to buy USDC. I repeat in Syklo you will not store your crypto, specifically only one and it is the USDC.
I can mention that I did not understand this aspect. And the first transaction I made I cancelled it, I did not understand that I was selling a HBD for a USDC. So I wrote to them privately and again they helped me. Clearly I cancelled that transaction and I notified it in the chat between the two parties (the one who buys and the one who sells) and it didn't go any further.
- NO COMMISSION
As far as I was able to use it I noticed that there was no commission fee. And I was able to try to buy 1 single USDC with HBD. I loved that because sometimes we have small amounts to exchange and in other wallets they put a minimum. But that doesn't happen in Syklo, I was able to buy a single dollar at the HBD price it was that day and I LOVED it.
- IS IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES
Something that left me even more surprised is that I was able to put my bank details and sell the USDC for the Peruvian currency. The money came directly to my bank. And I was happy that day. Once I understood how it works, I noticed that it is very easy and intuitive to use. I just needed to get used to it because as I told you before I am very new to wallets.
- NO MEMO NEEDED
One of the features of this wallet that automatically jumps out is that you don't need a memo. You just make the transfer to the right person and that's it. Among the data they prioritize for transactions is your email.

Hola queridos amigos de #aliento, el día de hoy quiero compartirles un poco de mi experiencia de utilizando Syklo, el cual es una aplicación de código abierto para comprar, vender, y guardar USDC (cita el texto de la app)
¿CÓMO LOS CONOCÍ?
Voy a comenzar contándoles cómo conocí Syklo, y la verdad es que ellos me contactaron. Están haciendo una campaña de marketing en las redes sociales, en esta ocasión hablamos de Twitter. Les escribí por DM para saber más de la información que me dejaron en un comentario. Y me explicaron un poco de su app, además me regalaron unos cuantos USDC para poder probarlos en la App. Yo con un poco de miedo (debo confesar) acepté. Pero no fue sino hasta el 28 del mes pasado que logré entender un poco la app.
Admito que tenía muchos nervios porque bueno soy un poco lenta para entender las wallets y todo el funcionamiento de las apps peer to peer para cambiar criptos. Y por esa razón me tardé. Ya me estaba dando por vencida porque de verdad que no entendía mucho. Sin embargo, me ofrecieron muy buena atención y toda duda que escribí, me ayudaron a disiparla, eso me generó confianza en ellos.
¿POR QUÉ USAR SYKLO?
- ACEPTA HBD
Me pareció una fabulosa app para vender mis HBD's, porque sí aceptan nuestra stablecoin de Hive. Pero a diferencia de otras wallets, en Syklo hay una moneda predominante y es la USCD. Puedes comprar, vender o compartir esta moneda. Es decir que el cambio que vayas a hacer siempre será en función de reunir los USDC en tu wallet. El HBD es solo para comprar USDC. Repito en Syklo no guardarás tu cripto, específicamente solo una y es la USDC.
Puedo mencionar que yo no entendía este aspecto. Y la primera transacción que hice la anulé, no entendía que estaba vendiendo un HBD por un USDC. Así que les escribí por privado y nuevamente me ayudaron. Claramente cancelé esa operación y lo avisé en el chat que hay entre las dos partes (el que compra y el que vende) y no pasó a mayores.
- SIN COMISIÓN
Yo en lo que pude usarla noté que no había tasa de comisión. Y pude probar comprar 1 solo USDC con HBD. Eso me encantó porque a veces tenemos pequeñas cantidades por cambiar y en otras wallets nos ponen un mínimo. Pero eso no sucede en Syklo, pude comprar un solo dólar al precio del HBD que estaba ese día y LO AMÉ.
- ESTÁ EN VARIOS PAÍSES
Algo que me dejó aun más sorprendida es que pude colocar mis datos bancarios y vender los USDC por la moneda peruana. El dinero llegó directamente a mi banco. Y yo estaba feliz ese día. Una vez que entendí el funcionamiento, noté que es muy muy fácil e intuitiva de utilizarla. Solo necesité acostumbrarme porque como les dije antes soy muy novata con las wallets.
- NO NECESITA MEMO
Una de las características de esta wallet que saltan a la vista automáticamente es que no necesitas un memo. Simple y sencillamente te dedicas a hacer la transferencia a la persona determinada y listo. Entre los datos que priorizan para las transacciones está tu correo electrónico.
