Después de tanto intentarlo, por fin pude crear mi cuenta de Hive. (Fue más difícil de lo que esperábamos!). Pero, superado ese inconveniente, les diré que es muy emocionante para mí presentarme en esta plataforma.

After trying so hard, I was finally able to create my Hive account. (It was harder than we expected!). But, having overcome that inconvenience, I will tell you that it is very exciting for me to introduce myself on this platform.

Mi nombre completo es Daniela Angélica Freites Pirela. Nací, me crie y vivo actualmente en la ciudad de Maturín, perteneciente al estado Monagas de Venezuela. Me he mudado varias veces de casa, pero ha sido solo a sectores o parroquias diferentes de la misma ciudad. Lo más lejos que he viajado ha sido a Anzoátegui, o Caracas, los cuales están bastante cerca de Monagas, así que no me jactaría de eso… 😅 Pero me han encantado esas experiencias de viajar a nuevos sitios. 🗺️ A futuro, me gustaría conocer más lugares, dentro y fuera del país. Da una sensación de libertad eso de viajar, ¿no les parece?

My full name is Daniela Angélica Freites Pirela. I was born, raised and currently live in the city of Maturin, in the state of Monagas, Venezuela. I have moved several times, but only to different sectors or parishes in the same city. The farthest I’ve traveled has been to Anzoátegui, or Caracas, which are pretty close to Monagas, so I wouldn’t brag about that… 😅 But I’ve loved those experiences of traveling to new places. 🗺️ In the future, I would like to know more places, inside and outside the country. It gives a sense of freedom to travel, don’t you think?
I was born on February 03, 2003, so I’m currently 19 years old.

Personalidad

Me definiría como una persona perseverante, no muy constante en lo que inicia -sí, quiero cambiar eso-, reflexiva -con frecuencia, demasiado-, divertida y adaptable.

Me gusta mucho la gente transparente, es decir, quién es sincero a pesar de que sus palabras te puedan caer mal. Prefiero una verdad que duela a una mentira (que considero que con el tiempo termina doliendo más).

Aunque siempre me había considerado tímida, el trabajo de atención al cliente que he tenido que realizar me ha ayudado a desenvolverme mejor en el medio. Puedo decir que me he vuelto generalmente extrovertida, y eso se refleja en la cantidad de personas con las que trato 👥🫂.

Personality

I would define myself as a persevering person, not very constant in what I start -yes, I want to change that-, reflexive -often, too much-, funny and adaptable.

I really like transparent people, that is to say, who are sincere even though their words may not sit well with you. I prefer a truth that hurts to a lie (which I believe hurts more over time).

Although I had always considered myself shy, the customer service work I have had to do has helped me to get along better in the environment. I can say that I have become generally outgoing, and that is reflected in the number of people I deal with 👥🫂.

Familia

Soy hija única. Cuando nací, mi mamá -Angélica- tenía 19 años y mi papá -Daniel- 29. Mis padres han hecho mucho por mí, al darme todo lo que pudieron, según el conocimiento y los recursos que tenían, para sacarme adelante, y eso se los agradeceré siempre 👫.

También he tenido la ayuda ocasional de otros familiares, pero nada como mis padres. Particularmente, nada como mi mamá 🥰.

Por otro lado, las carencias que he experimentado desde joven me han enseñado a defenderme por mí misma, a responder por mis acciones, dar la cara a los problemas y ser independiente. Así que de lo negativo se extrae algo positivo 🤗.

Family

I am an only child. When I was born, my mom -Angélica- was 19 years old and my dad -Daniel- was 29. My parents have done a lot for me, by giving me everything they could, according to the knowledge and resources they had, to get me ahead, and I will always be grateful for that 👫.

I have also had occasional help from other family members, but nothing like my parents. Particularly, nothing like my mom 🥰.

On the other hand, the shortcomings I’ve experienced from a young age have taught me to stand up for myself, to answer for my actions, to stick up for problems and to be independent. So from the negative something positive is extracted 🤗.

Vida laboral

Cuando me gradué de bachiller, me vi en la necesidad de buscar trabajo. Las opciones eran pocas, y mayormente de atención al público. He trabajado de cajera en auto mercados chinos, vendiendo ropa, haciendo inventario, secando y cortando pelo, vendiendo frutas de temporada, incluso, en micro-trabajos por internet.

Working life

When I graduated from high school, I had to look for a job. The options were few, and mostly customer service. I have worked as a cashier in auto Chinese markets, selling clothes, doing inventory, drying and cutting hair, selling seasonal fruits, even micro-jobs on the internet.

Lo que me gusta hacer

Siempre he estado muy interesada en la opinión de la ciencia respecto a distintos temas. Es común en mi vida diaria hacer citas de recomendaciones de expertos con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida. Eso me produce una sensación de mejora continua.

En especial, desde siempre me ha gustado leer información acerca de la mente humana. Todo lo que sea práctico para la vida diaria: el manejo de las emociones, los problemas, la relaciones, el amor propio, las enfermedades y trastornos mentales, la grafología, el lenguaje corporal, los test de personalidad y otros métodos de descubrirse y entenderse a sí mismo y al resto… Me parece que es productivo saber ese tipo de cosas.

Tengo varios hobbies. Me gusta cantar 🎤; no, la verdad no tengo una voz especial, la considero promedio, pero me gusta la sensación de libertad que genera y poder contagiar eso a otros. Por supuesto, me encanta escuchar música 🎧, de hecho, tengo buen oído musical. Lo que suelo escuchar se pudiera encasillar dentro del género pop y cuando estoy lo suficientemente sentimental, opto por música romántica.

Soy fan de los idiomas🧳, siempre he deseado aprender inglés (para comenzar). Me parece muy bonito poder comunicarme con la gente en el idioma que entiende.

Puedo pasar horas viendo películas 📽️… Me inclino más por las de suspenso sin topar con el terror.

Finalmente, siempre se me ha dado bien la redacción 📝. De pequeña, solía escribir cuentos y novelas. Incluso, antes de aprende a escribir se los dictaba a mi mamá (quien, por compasión de que yo no tenía niños de mi edad con quiénes jugar, se convirtió en mi compañera de juegos).

Soy buena en el dibujo y la costura, pero aunque les he dedicado mucho tiempo, no me apasionan tanto como las actividades que mencioné antes.

What I like to do

I have always been very interested in the opinion of science regarding different topics. It is common in my daily life to make quotes from expert recommendations in order to improve the quality of life. That gives me a sense of continuous improvement.

In particular, I have always enjoyed reading information about the human mind. Anything that is practical for daily life: dealing with emotions, problems, relationships, self-love, mental illnesses and disorders, graphology, body language, personality tests and other methods of discovering and understanding oneself and others… I find it productive to know that kind of stuff.

I have several hobbies. I like to sing 🎤; no, I don’t really have a special voice, I consider it average, but I like the feeling of freedom it generates and being able to spread that to others. Of course, I love listening to music 🎧, in fact, I have a good musical ear. What I usually listen to could be pigeonholed within the pop genre and when I’m sentimental enough, I opt for romantic music.

I’m a fan of languages🧳, I’ve always wanted to learn English (to start with). I find it really nice to be able to communicate with people in the language they understand.

I can spend hours watching movies 📽️… I’m more inclined to suspense ones without running into horror.

Finally, I’ve always been good at writing 📝. When I was little, I used to write short stories and novels. Even before I learned to write, I dictated them to my mom (who, out of pity that I had no children my age to play with, became my playmate).

I am good at drawing and sewing, but although I have devoted a lot of time to them, I am not as passionate about them as the activities I mentioned before.
