Hace siete meses emprendí un camino en el departamento del Valle del Cauca, Cali, Colombia. Todo Inició con la necesidad que tenía de incorporar a mi hija en un colegio donde actualmente resido. Una vez mi hija dentro de la institución, hacen llenar una serie de papeles con datos personales que hay que dar. Pasaron los días y de repente suena mi teléfono y era la coordinadora de la institución, cuando contesto la llamada, me dice: Hola, buenos días, usted es el papá de Daniella Rodríguez? y por mi mente lo que pasó fue, que le pasó a Daniella?, la verdad gracias a Dios no era eso, llamaba para ofrecerme trabajo ya que necesitaban un reemplazo en el área de matemáticas y sin pensarlo le dije que si. Empecé al siguiente día y desde allí no he parado. Para mi esto fue una bendición porque esta era mi oportunidad para encontrar mejores trabajos y ir creciendo profesionalmente.
Seven months ago I undertook a path in the department of Valle del Cauca, Cali, Colombia. It all started with the need I had to enroll my daughter in a school where I currently reside. Once my daughter is in the institution, they make me fill out a series of papers with personal information that must be given. Days passed and suddenly my phone rings and it was the institution's coordinator. When I answer the call, she says: Hello, good morning, are you Daniella Rodríguez's parents? And what happened in my mind was, what happened to Daniella? The truth, thank God, was not that, she called to offer me a job since they needed a replacement in the area of mathematics and without thinking I said yes. I started the next day and since then I haven't stopped. For me this was a blessing because this was my opportunity to find better jobs and grow professionally.
Desde ese día, todo ha sido una aventura porque me dieron 4 secciones de clases en el área de matemáticas y desde entonces no he parado de trabajar. El año pasado, particularmente me tocó graduar a los de 9° grado, ya que el colegio solo llega hasta 9° grado y para mi fue Wow!!!, fue muy gratificante la experiencia. Anteriormente, había tenido la oportunidad de hacerlo pero siempre es bueno recordar esos bonitos momentos que como profesional de la docencia son satisfactorios, es constancia de un buen trabajo en el aula de clases. Los esfuerzos que día a día hacemos para liderar nuestras vidas a una mejor calidad, son agotadores, pero siempre gratificantes.
Since that day, everything has been an adventure because they gave me 4 sections of classes in the area of mathematics and since then I have not stopped working. Last year, I particularly had to graduate the 9th graders, since the school only goes up to 9th grade and for me it was Wow, the experience was very rewarding. Previously, I had had the opportunity to do so, but it is always good to remember those beautiful moments that are satisfying as a teaching professional, it is evidence of a good job in the classroom. The efforts that we make every day to lead our lives to a better quality are exhausting, but always rewarding.
Desde el punto de partida que fue esa llamada, se han abierto muchas puertas en mi área profesional como: convalidaciones recientemente como profesional del área mediante el SENA, en modalidad virtual y presencial. Entré a una universidad totalmente gratis por una prueba de admisión que presenté para estudiar otra carrera corta, pero que a nivel económico cuenta mucho, entonces me siento privilegiado de formar parte de los buenos somos más, los que luchan por sus sueños. Mediante la formación del SENA, puedo aspirar a ingresar a universidades a dar clases. Me siento muy bien por eso, porque es lo que tanto deseaba, ya que trabajar con adultos es menos forzoso a lo contrario. Sin embargo amo lo que hago y todos los días me esfuerzo por ser el mejor en mi área.
From the starting point that was that call, many doors have been opened in my professional area such as: recent validations as a professional in the area through SENA, in virtual and face-to-face mode. I entered a university totally free for an admission test that I took to study another short career, but that economically counts a lot, so I feel privileged to be part of the good ones, we are more, those who fight for their dreams. Through the formation of SENA, I can aspire to enter universities to teach. I feel very good about that, because it is what I wanted so much, since working with adults is less forced than the opposite. However, I love what I do and every day I strive to be the best in my field.
Me llevo el mejor aprendizaje y lección de vida, "Hay que luchar por lo que uno quiere", las oportunidades siempre están, el mejor tiempo es el de Dios, me gusta lo que hago, todos los días me levanto pensando que es el mejor día porque estoy vivo, porque soy una persona que se esfuerza por lograr sus metas y la verdad esto es personal.
I take with me the best learning and life lesson, "You have to fight for what you want", the opportunities are always there, the best time is God's, I like what I do, every day I wake up thinking that it is the best day because I am alive, because I am a person who strives to achieve his goals and the truth is that this is personal.
Gracias por leerme hasta el final. Sigo creciendo como persona, como profesional, aún sigo dando clases en ese colegio, pero aspirando otras posibilidades. Todos los días aprendo algo nuevo, así como mis alumnos se llevan lo mejor de mi para su aprendizaje. Soy constante, disciplinado, me gusta instruirme todos los días. Considero que las metas están claras y las cartas echadas. Agradezco a Dios por lo que me ha dado, a ustedes por estar presentes acá en este post y llegamos al final de esta lectura.
