Mi nombre es Daniel Colmenarez, tengo 20 años y nací en Caracas, Venezuela. A los 6 años me mude de la capital con destino hacia Barquisimeto, estado Lara, por razones de trabajo de mi mamá. Al principio fue difícil porque extrañaba la ciudad donde nací, el colegio donde estudiaba y a mis amigos. En Barquisimeto pase por varias escuelas porque no lograba acostumbrarme. Afortunadamente, después de un tiempo conseguí un colegio en el que me sentí cómodo, e hice nuevos amigos. Así fue como empecé mi vida en esta ciudad. Formé grandes amistades y estuve con personas increíbles. Para mí fue una etapa muy especial.

Al estar terminado la secundaria estuve en la necesidad de buscar donde continuar mis estudios, ya que siempre quise estudiar en la Universidad. Escoger la carrera fue lo de menos, puesto que desde pequeño quería estudiar ingeniería mecánica porque me gustaban muchos los carros. Aunque luego descubriría que dicha carrera no es sobre automóviles precisamente. En la búsqueda de en donde estudiar, primero revise las universidades que había en el estado Lara, que eran las que me quedaban más cerca de donde vivía actualmente. Sin embargo, ninguna de las opciones me parecía aceptable. Por lo que decidí buscar más lejos.

Irónicamente, encontré una universidad en caracas que me llamo mucho la atención, hasta que decidí que ahí quería estudiar. Y así fue como regrese a Caracas después de un poco más 10 años de haberme mudado de ahí. Al principio fue, de nuevo, complicado porque ya no conocía a nadie ni tenía amigos. Básicamente fue como empezar de nuevo por segunda vez. Pero de nuevo me volví a acostumbrar, y he conocido gente increíble y muy inteligente que tiene la misma curiosidad intelectual que yo.

Mientras estudiaba mi carrera, ingeniería mecánica, me enteré que la universidad ofrecía un diplomado en matemática avanzada, que se otorga luego de ver 5 materias de la carrera de matemática. Desde pequeño las matemáticas siempre me gustaron, era mi materia favorita y la que más disfrutaba. Así que tome la decisión de cursar el diplomado. Y después de ver la primera materia quedé tan fascinado que me inscribí en la carrera.

Así, actualmente me encuentro estudiando dos carreras: ingeniería mecánica y licenciatura en matemáticas. Debo aceptar que no es tarea fácil, pero cuando estudias lo que te apasiona nada te parece demasiado. Aparte de lo que estudio en la universidad, también soy un lector incansable sobre diversos temas. Por ejemplo: biología, cosmología o economía. Me entretengo mucho leyendo de revistas digitales y también viendo videos de youtube sobre estos temas

Agregado a mi gusto por las matemáticas, también me gusta mucho la física. Me causa mucha curiosidad como el ser humano a través de un lenguaje universal como son las matemáticas es capaz de describir el universo que lo rodea, desde lo más diminuto como un átomo hasta lo más grande como la inmensidad del universo. Estas son algunas de las cosas sobre las que me gustaría hablar aquí.

Debo dar las gracias a @gpache y @morepina ya que fueron ellos los que me dieron a conocer esta plataforma y me animaron a participar. Así como también a @soyla-loreto por ofrecer su increíble curso hive desde cero que me ha ayudado a entender muchas cosas que desconocía.

Espero muchas cosas de hive ya que veo que tienen un sinfín de alternativas para distintos temas. Así que estoy ansioso por poder publicar muchas cosas acerca de mi vida como estudiante y apasionado de temas científicos. When I finished high school I had to look for a place to continue my studies, since I always wanted to study at the University. Choosing the career was the least important thing, since I wanted to study mechanical engineering since I was a child because I really liked cars. Although later I would discover that this career is not exactly about cars. In the search of where to study, I first checked the universities in the state of Lara, which were the closest to where I currently lived. However, none of the options seemed acceptable to me. So I decided to look further away.

Ironically, I found a university in Caracas that caught my attention, until I decided that I wanted to study there. And so it was that I returned to Caracas after a little more than 10 years of having moved from there. At first it was, again, complicated because I didn't know anyone and had no friends. Basically it was like starting all over again for the second time. But again I got used to it, and I have met amazing and very intelligent people who have the same intellectual curiosity as me.

Since I was a child, I always liked mathematics, it was my favorite subject and the one I enjoyed the most. So I decided to take the diploma course. And after seeing the first subject I was so fascinated that I enrolled in the career.

So, I am currently studying two careers: mechanical engineering and a degree in mathematics. I must accept that it is not an easy task, but when you study what you are passionate about, nothing seems too much. Apart from what I study at university, I am also a tireless reader on various subjects. For example: biology, cosmology or economics. I enjoy reading digital magazines and also watching youtube videos on these topics.

In addition to my love for mathematics, I also like physics. I am very curious about how the human being through a universal language such as mathematics is able to describe the universe that surrounds him, from the smallest thing like an atom to the largest thing like the immensity of the universe. These are some of the things I would like to talk about here.
