Durante esta semana fue que me enteré del reto y de atrevida pregunté si podía integrarme, recibiendo un grato SI como respuesta... sintiendo y fluyendo con éste resultado me propuse a crear poco a poco los dibujos de la semana 1 y 2. Por ahora presento mis ilustraciones al estilo tradicional de la semana 3.
During this week I found out about the challenge and boldly asked if I could join, receiving a pleasant YES as an answer... feeling and flowing with this result I set out to create little by little the drawings of week 1 and 2. For now I present my illustrations in the traditional style of week 3.

PEZ | FISH
Mi pececito surgió después de hacer un garabato, esto es una técnica que utilizo para lograr hacer formas concretas de lo que deseo dibujar. En este caso quise hacer honor a mi signo zodiacal a través del Pez Betta, un ejemplar muy elegante que posee unas extremidades especiales, su cuerpo está lleno de colores integrado con sus aletas largas y frágiles que causan un armonioso impacto visual.
My little fish came up after making a doodle, this is a technique I use to make concrete forms of what I want to draw. In this case I wanted to honor my zodiac sign through the Betta Fish, a very elegant specimen that has special extremities, its body is full of colors integrated with its long and fragile fins that cause a harmonious visual impact.
En mi imaginario estas aletas simulan un poroso drapeado de múltiples colores y dentro del agua se visualizan ligeras ondulaciones causando la sensación de vuelo, yo me veo allí danzado como ellos entre largas y sedosas telas.
In my imagination these fins simulate a porous draping of multiple colors and in the water light undulations are visualized causing the sensation of flight, I see myself there dancing like them between long and silky fabrics.
Es una hermosa especie hoy día en extinción y que por ello dibuje mirando hacia arriba y con un rostro triste. Aunque también evaluando mi estado de ánimo para el momento de su realización, me encontraba un poco decaída, tras una terrible alergia cutánea que obtuvo mi madre causándole inflamación y bultos rojos en la piel, que después de tres tratamientos médicos y cuidado desde casa ya hoy la situación está controlada. Mis dibujos los fui realizando en las noches después de cuidarla.
It is a beautiful species nowadays in extinction and that is why I drew it looking up and with a sad face. PAJARO | BIRD
Justamente en esta semana caótica mi madre me preguntó cuándo volvería a dar Biodanza, yo entre mis ocupaciones he relegado un poco esta responsabilidad conmigo y mis participantes deseando enfocarme en otras cosas, aun así, siempre llevo presente la importancia de seguir trabajando el cuerpo y emoción a través de este sistema, que invita a la armonía y equilibrio entre sentir pensar y hacer a través de nuestros movimientos naturales.
Just in this chaotic week my mother asked me when I would return to give Biodanza, between my occupations I have relegated a little this responsibility with me and my participants wanting to focus on other things, even so, I always keep in mind the importance of continuing to work the body and emotion through this system, which invites harmony and balance between feeling, thinking and doing through our natural movements.
Entonces para este dibujo me inspiré en la Biodanza y su arquetipo principal LA GARZA que simboliza la visión desde las alturas, la falta de gravedad, potencia la ascensión y armonía, elementos que siento me hacen falta en este momento. Desde que conozco sobre este sistema, siempre he visto su logotipo en blanco y negro, y es por esto que decidí recrearlo a color, con posición de vuelo y otros detalles , en este caso resolví aplicarle amarillo y azul queriendo darle un toque de majestuosidad, luminosidad y elegancia.
So for this drawing I was inspired by Biodanza and its main archetype THE GARZA that symbolizes the vision from the heights, the lack of gravity, power ascension and harmony, elements that I feel I am missing right now. Since I know about this system, I have always seen its logo in black and white, and that is why I decided to recreate it in color with other details, in this case I decided to apply yellow and blue wanting to give it a touch of majesty, brightness and elegance.
BRUJA | WITCH
Del garabato surgió la idea de un Drag Queen, con todo respeto a estas personas, sus exagerados atuendos siempre los he relacionados a películas de terror o personajes de ficción. La verdad veo en ellos toda una producción corporal de impacto que quedan grabados en la imaginación, mi sobrina desde pequeña los ha visto y se asusta de allí mi idea de representarlo como una bruja, pero no como aquellas vejadas mujeres consideradas demonios en la edad media.
From the doodle came the idea of a Drag Queen, with all respect to these people, their exaggerated costumes I have always related them to horror movies or fictional characters. The truth is that I see in them a whole body production of impact that remain engraved in the imagination, my niece has seen them since she was little and she gets scared, hence my idea of representing her as a witch, but not like those vexed women considered demons in the Middle Ages.
MASCARA | MASK
Al terminar el dibujo quede fascinada de este ejemplar, donde enaltezco la cultura de África. Las máscaras africanas siempre me han parecido hermosas, enigmáticas y con una gran razón de ser, así como tenemos los petroglifos y relieves indígenas, África reseña en sus máscaras su historia, descrita en ellas ancestros naturales, humanos y animales, amores, emociones y deidades, que se honra diariamente a través de sus atavíos y costumbres heredadas de generación en generación.
the end of the drawing I was fascinated by this copy, where I extol the culture of Africa. African masks have always seemed to me beautiful, enigmatic and with a great reason for being, just as we have the petroglyphs and indigenous reliefs, Africa outlines in its masks its history, described in them natural ancestors, humans and animals, loves, emotions and deities, which are honored daily through their costumes and customs inherited from generation to generation.
DULCE | CANDY
¡Nada más dulce que la miel! aquí dude un poco, no sabía si hacer mi dulce favorito torta selva negra o charlot, pero como de estar en hive se trata, pues la dulce miel es nuestro contenido que creamos en la colmena y lo que nos representa a todas las abejitas que pululamos por aquí.
Nothing sweeter than honey! Here I hesitated a bit, I didn't know whether to make my favorite sweet, black forest cake or charlot, but since it's all about being in hive, the sweet honey is our content that we create in the hive and what represents us all the little bees that swarm around here.
RAMEN
La primera vez que escuche sobre este platillo fue a un estudiante de mi lugar de trabajo perdón para los que no me conocen trabajo como maestro expresión plástica para niños en un colegio del estado. Un día conversando con uno de los niños de sexto grado quien llevaba atuendo japonés al colegio, él me pregunto cuál era mi comida favorita, le hable sobre las comidas chatarras, criollas venezolanas y el sushi, el enseguida me hablo de su gusto por ramen.
The first time I heard about this dish was from a student at my place of work, sorry for those who don't know me, I work as a plastic expression teacher for children in a school in the state. One day while talking to one of the sixth graders who wore Japanese attire to school, he asked me what my favorite food was, I told him about junk food, Venezuelan creole food and sushi, he immediately told me about his taste for ramen.
Le pregunté sobre el ramen y después de toda una descripción, le dije que eso se llamaba tallarines, insistió que no era así: el Ramen es Japones y el tallarin es Chino. Agradeciendo su sabiduría luego fui a investigar un poco, y en efecto el chico tenía razón, y logré interpretar que su gusto por tal platillo también está relacionado a la moda japonesa que en los últimos tiempo los jóvenes han venido integrando en su cultura a través de los mangas, comics entre otros modismos orientales.
I asked him about ramen and after a whole description, I told him that it was called noodles, he insisted that it was not so: Ramen is Japanese and noodles are Chinese. Agreeing with his wisdom I did some research and indeed the boy was right, and I managed to interpret that his taste for such dish is also related to the Japanese way that in recent times young people have been integrating into their culture through manga, comics and other oriental idioms.
DESAYUNO | BREAKFAST
La arepita con café guayoyo es mi desayuno por excelencia, aunque mis arepas suelen ser de yuca, plátano y alguna que otra vez la hago con harina sin gluten, arroz o ligera, de igual modo son deliciosas y de relleno le agrego guiso de vegetales, granos o queso. Y mi amado aromático café recién hecho es mi segundo acompañante que miro tan tiernamente como la tacita dibujada.
The arepita with guayoyo coffee is my breakfast par excellence, although my arepas are usually made with yucca, plantain and sometimes with gluten free flour, rice or light flour, they are delicious and I add vegetable stew, grains or cheese as filling. And my beloved aromatic freshly brewed coffee is my second companion that I look at as tenderly as the drawn cup.
