Dentro del curso se práctica el noble silencio, una práctica donde no podemos hablar ni comunicarnos de ninguna manera con ningún otro ser vivo, también implica abstenerse de matar, mentir, bailar, cantar, hacer ejercicio o realizar alguna acción que pueda distraer a otro meditador, tenemos espacios específicos por los que podemos caminar y se práctica la segregación de sexos en todo momento.
Within the course, noble silence is practiced, a practice where we cannot speak or communicate in any way with any other living being, it also implies refraining from killing, lying, dancing, singing, exercising or performing any action that may distract another meditator, we have specific spaces through which we can walk and gender segregation is practiced at all times.
Despertamos a las 4am con el sonido de la primera campana (que para mí significaba tratar de encontrar calor en la cama ¡jaja!) a las 4:30am suena la segunda campana que nos cita a todos a la sala de meditación, son dos cuadras caminando bajo un cielo estrellado que no noté sino hasta el tercer día, desde el primer momento me plantee hacer el verdadero ejercicio de la ecuanimidad, tratando de no intelectualizar o juzgar nada (un trabajo eterno pienso yo) la sala de meditación era el espacio más cálido de todo el lugar, pero aún seguía siendo fresco, una salón rodeado de árboles y humedad.
We woke up at 4am to the sound of the first bell (which for me meant trying to find warmth in bed haha!) At 4:30 am the second bell rings that summons us all to the meditation room, it is two blocks walking under a starry sky that I didn't notice until the third day, from the first moment I considered doing the true exercise of equanimity, trying not to intellectualize or judge anything (an eternal work I think) the meditation room was the most warm all over the place, but still cool, a room surrounded by trees and damp.

Resulta extrañísimo como es que en un comedor con unas 20 personas si se cayera un alfiler se podría escuchar, fue la primera vez que me di cuenta de que a pesar de ser bastante tímida, sí que me relaciono con las personas a mi alrededor, cosas tan sencillas como desear una buena comida, levantarle un cubierto a alguien cuando se le cae, detener la puerta a quien viene tras de ti, ayudar o brindar una mirada cordial de pronto ya no podía hacerlo y me daba cuenta de cuanto me gusta vivir siendo amable y estando rodeada de amabilidad.
It is very strange how it is that in a dining room with about 20 people if a pin were to fall you could hear it, it was the first time that I realized that despite being quite shy, I do interact with the people around me, simple things as wishing a good meal, lifting someone's cutlery when they drop it, stopping the door to someone behind you, helping or giving a friendly look, suddenly I couldn't do it this things anymore and I realized how much I like to live being kind and being surrounded by kindness.
A media mañana tenía lugar la siguiente meditación y camino a la sala empecé a sentir unos escalofríos un tanto sospechosos, pero decidí no prestarle mucha atención, total ya sabía que tenía algo de malestar los días pasados.
At midmorning the following meditation took place and on the way to the living room I began to feel some somewhat suspicious chills, but I decided not to pay much attention to it, I already knew that I had some discomfort in the past days.
Para ser la segunda gran cantidad de horas que pasaba meditando me sentía muy bien, esas horas transcurrieron muy tranquilas y de pronto ya sonaba la siguiente campana, al salir de la sala tuve que correr al baño y allí mismo vomite todo lo que había comido, me empecé a sentir un poco peor por lo que decidí recostarme, resulta que me dormí durante el tiempo del almuerzo y cuando desperté y fui tan rápido como pude al comedor, no quedaba más que un trozo de algo que ya no recuerdo y ese fue mi almuerzo de ese día, aunque esto sirvió para que no se me escapara ninguna de las campanas que sonarían los próximos días.
For the second large number of hours that I spent meditating I felt very good, those hours passed very quiet and suddenly the next bell was ringing, when I left the room I had to run to the bathroom and right there I vomited everything I had eaten, I began to feel a little worse for what I decided to lie down, it turns out that I fell asleep during lunch time and when I woke up and went as fast as I could to the dining room, there was only a piece of something that I no longer remember and that was my lunch that day, although this served to that none of the bells that would ring the next few days would escape me.
Por la tarde, asumo que a las 2pm (me disculpo por la inexactitud de las horas, pero no tenía un reloj) tenía lugar la meditación de la tarde, hasta las 4:30 o 5 cuando llegaba el momento mágico en el que los estudiantes nuevos podíamos comer un trozo de fruta y un té, a las 6pm tenía lugar la última meditación seguida de una charla por parte del creador del método vipassana, un momento de recibir conocimiento, pero para ser sincera los primeros días me chocaba mucho la mejorable calidad de la grabación y todas las ideas que allí expresaba, para cuando terminaba la charla se hacían las 9pm y todos a dormir.
In the afternoon, I assume that at 2pm (I apologize for the inaccuracy of the hours, but I did not have a clock) the afternoon meditation would take place, until 4:30 or 5 when the magical moment arrived in which the new students could eat a piece of fruit and a tea, at 6pm the last meditation took place followed by a talk by the creator of the vipassana method, a moment of receiving knowledge, but to be honest the first days I was very shocked by the improvable quality of the recording and all the ideas that he expressed there, by the time the talk was over it was 9pm and everyone went to sleep.
