¿Cuánto TIEMPO lleva un Cambio Físico?

¿Cuanto se tarda en lograr un cambio físico? No hay fechas y tiempos exactos de cuanto se puede tardar en lograr el objetivo físico de perder grasa o ganar masa muscular, pero no solo voy a quedarme ahí, sino también explicaré cuales son los primeros cambios, los primeros efectos que notamos cuando empezamos a entrenar y por qué puede que no estemos viendo resultados a pesar de llevar varias semanas entrenando.

Cuando empecé a entrenar hace ya unos años, una de las preguntas que mas me hacía es ¿Cuánto tiempo tardaría en verme como realmente me quería ver? Lo que si es cierto es que en mi caso hacerme esta pregunta en ningún momento fue un impedimento o una barrera.

¿Realmente importa el tiempo que vayamos a tardar? Sinceramente entiendo esta preocupación porque cuando queremos algo a todos nos pasa que lo queremos YA! El problema está en que no podemos cambiar en semanas lo que hemos construido en años. Hay gente que literalmente lleva toda su vida comiendo mal y sin hacer nada de ejercicio y pretende que en 2 semanas, 1 mes o 2 meses conseguir el físico que a otras personas les ha costado años conseguir, así que lo primero antes de todo es poner un poco los pies sobre el suelo y decir “OK llevo muchos años haciendo las cosas mal, no voy a pretender ponerme en 2 meses como alguien que lleva toda su vida haciendo deporte y cuidando su alimentación”

Eso sería lo principal, a partir de ahí llegaríamos al segundo punto que es “¿Realmente merece la pena preocuparse por cuanto tiempo vaya a tardar?” Pues desde mi punto de vista NO!, ya que es mucho mas importante que te preocupes por empezar cuanto antes. Cuanto antes empieces, antes vas a estar como quieres estar, si en cambio pierdes el tiempo preguntándote cuanto tiempo vas a tardar, eso lo que hace es limitarte, ponerte barreras, ser un impedimento y una excusa más para no empezar a hacer lo que realmente hay que hacer.

Entiendo la preocupación por querer saber de fechas, pero tampoco me parece positivo y saludable porque si nos marcamos fechas, esto también se puede asociar a que el proceso tenga un final y para mí no debería tenerlo. Algo que es importante recalcar es que hay que mantener hábitos saludables en el tiempo. No se trata se sacrificarse 3 meses y ya, sino adaptarse a algo cómodo por el resto de nuestra vida para así poder mantener los resultados obtenidos y tener una mejor calidad de vida a medida que pasan los años.

Si solo ves el gimnasio y la buena alimentación con solo obtener un buen cuerpo, déjame decirte que estás muy equivocado, lo que te aportan esos actos van mucho más allá de disciplina, organización, sacrificio y lo que conlleva el esfuerzo por conseguir algo que realmente queremos (mejorar nuestra autoestima y el autoconcepto) y eso se proyecta en nuestras relaciones sociales, nos da mucha energía y nos hace sentirnos realizados.

Así que antes de plantearte cuanto tiempo vas a tardar, pregúntate realmente porque estás haciendo esto. Si es simplemente porque te quieres ver como esa persona que viste en Instagram o porque realmente quieres dar un cambio en tu vida.

Si ya llevas tiempo entrenando y no ves los resultados que esperabas, lo más probable es que no te estés fijando en lo que realmente te debes fijar y en lo realmente importante, los primeros cambios y efectos que se aprecian cuando empezamos a entrenar en el gimnasio no son físicos, no son estéticos, porque estos tardan en llegar, sino que son cambios menos evidentes pero que están ahí.

Uno de ellos por ejemplo, nuestra fuerza, si llevamos un registro de nuestros entrenamientos y encima intentamos ir cada día a mejorar nuestras marcas, es lo más importante si realmente queremos progresar en el tiempo, no estancarnos y ganar masa muscular, además de conseguir que el entrenamiento sea efectivo, podremos apreciar con el paso de la semanas como poco a poco vamos a poder hacer más repeticiones o poder levantar más peso.

Otro progreso que también se puede identificar fácilmente es el hecho de mejorar nuestra técnica, al principio probablemente como nos pasa a todos, costará mucho hacer determinados movimientos y nos sentiremos incómodos, en cambio a medida que pase el tiempo y vayamos practicándolo, iremos mejorando y esto también es un indicativo de que estamos mejorando.

Otra señal podría ser el peso corporal, en el caso de que nuestro objetivo sea definir, sea perder grasa, lo más probable es que la báscula vaya disminuyendo. Para esto es recomendable pesarse en ayunas 1 vez a la semana e ir anotándolo en nuestro registro de evolución y así podremos ir viendo nuestro progreso.

Recuerda que compites contra ti mismo, todos los cuerpos evolucionan y reaccionan de forma diferente, enfócate en ti, en sentirte cómodo, en fortalecer la autoestima, en disfrutar el proceso y verás que los resultados llegarán.

That would be the main thing, from there we would get to the second point which is "Is it really worth worrying about how long it's going to take?" Well from my point of view NO!", since it is much more important that you worry about starting as soon as possible. The sooner you start, the sooner you will be as you want to be, if instead you waste time wondering how long it will take, that what it does is limit you, put barriers, be an impediment and an excuse not to start doing what really needs to be done.

I understand the concern for wanting to know dates, but I do not think it is positive and healthy because if we set dates, this can also be associated with the process having an end and for me it should not have one. Something that is important to emphasize is that you have to maintain healthy habits over time. It is not about sacrificing 3 months and that's it, but to adapt to something comfortable for the rest of our lives in order to maintain the results obtained and have a better quality of life as the years go by.

If you only see the gym and good nutrition with only get a good body, let me tell you that you are very wrong, what you bring these acts go far beyond discipline, organization, sacrifice and what comes with the effort to get something we really want (improve our self-esteem and self-concept) and that is projected in our social relationships, gives us a lot of energy and makes us feel fulfilled.

So before you ask yourself how long you are going to take, ask yourself why you are doing this. If it's simply because you want to look like that person you saw on Instagram or because you really want to make a change in your life.

If you have been training for some time and you do not see the results you expected, most likely you are not looking at what you should really look at and what is really important, the first changes and effects that are seen when we start training in the gym are not physical, they are not aesthetic, because these take time to arrive, but they are less obvious changes but they are there.

One of them for example, our strength, if we keep a record of our workouts and try to go every day to improve our marks, it is the most important thing if we really want to progress over time, not stagnate and gain muscle mass, in addition to making the training effective, we can appreciate with the passage of weeks as little by little we will be able to do more repetitions or lift more weight.

Another progress that can also be easily identified is the fact of improving our technique, at the beginning probably as it happens to all of us, it will cost a lot to do certain movements and we will feel uncomfortable, however as time passes and we go practicing it, we will improve and this is also an indication that we are improving.

Another sign could be the body weight, in the case that our goal is to define, is to lose fat, it is likely that the scale is decreasing. For this it is advisable to weigh yourself on an empty stomach once a week and write it down in our evolution log so we can see our progress.

Remember that you are competing against yourself, all bodies evolve and react differently, focus on you, on feeling comfortable, on strengthening your self-esteem, on enjoying the process and you will see that the results will come.
