Hola a todos, mi nombre es Fredys Matos Borges y tengo 29 años. Nací en una pequeña ciudad al oriente de Cuba llamada Baracoa, pero desde los 4 años vivo en La Habana. Me gusta reir, compartir con amigos, hacer deportes e ir al gimnasio 💪. Soy graduado desde el 2017 de Ingeniería en Automatización, carrera que me fascina, por lo que me gusta la programación y la electrónica. Por todo esto, siempre he querido emprender en el sector de las tecnologías y sé que algún día, con esfuerzo y dedicación lograré tener el éxito que deseo.
Hello everyone, my name is Fredys Matos Borges and I am 29 years old. I was born in a small city in eastern Cuba called Baracoa, but since I was 4 years old I have lived in Havana. I like to laugh, share with friends, play sports and go to the gym. I have graduated since 2017 in Automation Engineering, a career that fascinates me, so I like programming and electronics. For all this, I have always wanted to undertake in the technology sector and I know that one day, with effort and dedication, I will achieve the success that I desire.
Mi Familia
Mis padres ambos, son médicos. Mi hermana, menor que yo, también es médico, por lo que para muchos escogí la carrera equivocada 😂. En 2015 conocí a la mujer de mi vida, mi esposa, y en este año ese amor trajo sus frutos y somos padres de una hermosa bebe llamada Aithana. La familia es un pilar fundamental en mi vida.

My FamilyMy parents are both doctors. My sister, younger than me, is also a doctor, so for many I chose the wrong career, lol. In 2015 I met the woman of my life, my wife, and this year that love bore fruit and we are parents of a beautiful baby named Aithana. Family is a fundamental pillar in my life.
Mi Profesión
Comencé mi pasión por las tecnologías viendo las películas de Star Wars, en lo que muchos de mi edad solo veían a los Jedi, yo veía robots y naves espaciales. Ver como el joven Anakin Skaywalker construía a su propio robot C-3PO, hizo despertar en mi esa chispa de innovación. De joven no tuve muchos recursos ni posibilidades para desarrollar o aprender sobre el tema, pero mi imaginación seguía volando y el sueño era el mismo, desarrollar, crear. Escogí mi carrera universitaria porque era la más afín a esa meta. Hoy el objetivo continua, he estudiado, he adquirido conocimiento, pero sé que tengo aún mucho por aprender. Actualmente estoy trabajando en varios proyectos y me gustaría compartirlos con ustedes, pero son temas para otras publicaciones.
My professionI started my passion for technologies watching the Star Wars movies, in which many of my age only saw the Jedi, I saw robots and spaceships. Seeing how the young Anakin Skaywalker built his own C-3PO robot awakened that spark of innovation in me. When I was young I didn't have many resources or possibilities to develop or learn about the subject, but my imagination kept flying and the dream was the same, to develop, to create. I chose my university career because it was the most related to that goal. Today the objective continues, I have studied, I have acquired knowledge, but I know that I still have a lot to learn. I am currently working on several projects and would like to share them with you, but they are topics for other posts.
Me gustaría hacer realidad, con ustedes, esos sueños y de alguna forma con mi experiencia, poder contribuir a las comunidades. Como ven soy un chico más de ciencias que de letras, por lo que espero aprender muchísimos de todos ustedes aquí. Agradecería mucho si me recomendaran publicaciones, comunidades y personas a seguir para seguir creciendo.
I would like to make these dreams come true with you, and in some way with my experience, to be able to contribute to the communities. As you can see, I'm more of a science guy than an arts guy, so I hope to learn a lot from all of you here. I would really appreciate if you could recommend publications, communities and people to follow to continue growing.
HIVE
Llegué a Hive por mi interes en las nuevas tecnologías, entre ellas, la Blockchain y gracias a los eventos y charlas online promovidas por los miembros de la Comunidad Hive de Cuba @hivecuba y sus líderes en el país, entre ellos @manuphotos. Así logre participar en la primer evento presencial de la Comunidad, donde deicidí que haría de este mi lugar favorito.
I came to Hive because of my interest in new technologies, including Blockchain, and thanks to the events and online talks promoted by members of the Hive Community of Cuba @hivecuba and its leaders in the country, including @manuphotos. This is how I managed to participate in the first face-to-face event of the Community, where I decided that I would make this my favorite place.
