Queremos compartir con ustedes algunos fundamentos útiles para Marketing en Web3 según nuestra experiencia.
1. Conoce tu Proyecto:
Sea que tu proyecto Web3 esté enfocado en un protocolo DeFi o una aplicación móvil; el conocimiento total del mismo es la base fundamental de toda estrategia de Marketing. En Web3; esto se traduce en conocer de lleno la tecnología en la cual se fundamenta el proyecto, sus casos de uso, su propuesta de valor y todo aquello que pueda ser utilizado para conectar con sus futuros usuarios.
- ¿Cómo te diferenciarías de la competencia?
Es importante recalcar que más allá de conocer las características y funcionalidades de tu propuesta, debes entender y tener claro como tu proyecto resuelve problemas reales y que lo diferencia de la competencia. Esto te ayudará a escoger la estrategia de diferenciación que mejor se acople a tu estrategia de marketing; lo cual, te permitirá conectar mucho más fácil con tu público objetivo y asegurar el rápido crecimiento de tu proyecto.
- Entre el cielo y la blockchain, no hay nada oculto.
En Web3 y en la blockchain, la transparencia es fundamental. Por eso, desde apenas iniciar tu proyecto, debes explicar detalladamente a tu comunidad cómo funciona tu producto, cuáles son sus riesgos, cuáles son sus beneficios, cuales son las implicaciones de participar y cómo se toman las decisiones(¿Quiénes son los desarrolladores? ¿Cómo se decide el futuro del proyecto?); lo antes mencionado, generará lealtad entre los miembros de tu comunidad.
- Sin Comunidad, no hay proyecto.
Una comunidad sólida, activa y comprometida asegura el éxito de un proyecto Web3; pues los miembros serán embajadores del proyecto y usuarios dispuestos a dar feedback real de las virtudes y fallas del proyecto, por tal motivo, lo ideal es crear espacios de conversación donde los miembros puedan dar su opinión.
2. Conoce a tu audiencia:
En Web2, la segmentación se basa en datos demográficos y geográficos. En Web3, la segmentación se enfoca en las motivaciones y el nivel de participación de la comunidad que apoya el proyecto.
- Comunidades nicho
Web3 está lleno de comunidades nicho con intereses específicos. Identifica a tu público objetivo y adapta tu mensaje a sus necesidades, no intentes llegar a todo el mundo, lo ideal es enfocarse en quienes realmente se interesen en tu proyecto. Por ejemplo, si tu proyecto es sobre NFTs, busca comunidades de artistas o coleccionistas.
- Valores compartidos
La mayoría de los miembros de una comunidad apoyan proyectos con los cuales se sienten identificados; por lo cual, busca conectar con tu comunidad desde las motivaciones.

Con la globalización es fácil tener acceso a todo tipo de información con un solo click, por eso en la actualidad la claridad es esencial. Define un mensaje clave que resuene con tu comunidad y transmita la propuesta de valor de tu producto de forma clara, concisa y cercana, de manera tal que sea fácil de entender y explicar.
- Storytelling
El storytelling será una herramienta clave para conectar emocionalmente con tu audiencia. Muestra cómo tu proyecto está cambiando la vida de las personas. Comparte testimonios o casos de éxito.
- Lenguaje claro
Siempre comunica tu proyecto de forma cercana y sencilla, evita usar jerga técnica en exceso, en lugar de eso, usa analogías o ejemplos cotidianos para hacer que los conceptos complejos sean más fáciles de entender y digerir.
- Consistencia
Asegúrate de que tu sitio web, tus redes sociales, tus canales de comunicación y tus presentaciones tengan el mismo estilo, línea gráfica y mensaje.
4. Construye tu Embudo de Marketing:
El embudo de marketing (“marketing funnel”, en inglés), representa las etapas por las cuales pasan los usuarios desde el momento en el cual “conocen” un servicio o producto hasta que se convierten en compradores leales. Esta herramienta sigue siendo relevante en Web3. Sin embargo, las tácticas y los canales, cambian.
Conciencia: Usa contenido educativo, redes sociales y colaboraciones con influencers para dar a conocer tu proyecto.
Consideración: Ofrece contenido más detallado, como white papers, tutoriales y webinars, para educar a tu audiencia.
Conversión: Facilita la adopción de tu producto a través de interfaces intuitivas, soporte técnico y programas de incentivos.
Lealtad: Fomenta la lealtad a través de comunidades activas, recompensas por participación y eventos exclusivos.
5. Mide tu Efectividad:

Descentralización: Es necesario adoptar un enfoque descentralizado en tu estrategia de marketing, dando voz a la comunidad y fomentando la participación de la misma.
Transparencia: La transparencia es esencial en Web3 y en tu estrategia de marketing. Comunica claramente tus objetivos, tus procesos y tus resultados.
Comunidad: La comunidad es el activo más valioso e importante en Web3. Construye relaciones sólidas con tus usuarios, recompensa sus contribuciones y conviértelos en embajadores de tu proyecto.

Whether your Web3 project is focused on a DeFi protocol or a mobile application, full knowledge of it is the fundamental basis of any marketing strategy. In Web3; this means knowing the technology on which the project is based, its use cases, its value proposition and everything that can be used to connect with future users.
- How would you differentiate yourself from the competition?
It is important to emphasise that beyond knowing the characteristics and functionalities of your proposal, you must understand and be clear about how your project solves real problems and what differentiates it from the competition. This will help you choose the differentiation strategy that best fits your marketing strategy, which will allow you to connect much easier with your target audience and ensure the rapid growth of your project.
- Between the sky and the blockchain, there is nothing hidden.
In Web3 and the blockchain, transparency is fundamental. Therefore, from the very beginning of your project, you must explain in detail to your community how your product works, what are its risks, what are its benefits, what are the implications of participating and how decisions are made (Who are the developers? How is the future of the project decided?); the aforementioned will generate loyalty among the members of your community.
- Without a community, there is no project.
A solid, active and committed community ensures the success of a web3 project; because the members will be ambassadors of the project and users willing to give real feedback on the virtues and failures of the project; for this reason, the ideal is to create spaces for conversation where members can give their opinion.
2. Know your audience.
In Web2, targeting is based on demographic and geographic data. In Web3, segmentation focuses on the motivations and level of participation of the community that supports the project.
- Niche communities
Web3 is full of niche communities with specific interests. Identify your target audience and tailor your message to their needs. Don't try to reach everyone, ideally, focus on those who are really interested in your project. For example, if your project is about NFT's, look for communities of artists or collectors.
- Shared values
Most members of a community support projects that they identify with, so look to connect with your community based on their motivations.
- Active participation
Members of a Web3 community want to be part of the project, not just passive consumers. The ideal is to encourage the active participation of the community by inviting the community to participate in important decisions of the project, contests, ambassador programmes or dynamics between users.
3. Define your Key Message.
With globalisation it is easy to have access to all kinds of information at the click of a button, so clarity is essential nowadays. Define a key message that resonates with your community and conveys the value proposition of your product in a clear, concise and approachable way; in a way that is easy to understand and explain.
- Storytelling

Consideration: Offer more detailed content, such as white papers, tutorials and webinars, to educate your audience.
Conversion: Facilitate adoption of your product through intuitive interfaces, technical support and incentive programmes.
Loyalty: Build loyalty through active communities, participation rewards and exclusive events.
5. Measure your Effectiveness.
What you don't measure, you can't correct or improve; analytics is fundamental to optimise your marketing strategy. At Web3, analytics is complemented by blockchain data and community engagement metrics.
- Key metrics
Define key metrics to measure the success of your strategy, such as community growth, project adoption and ROI.
Analytics tools: Use web analytics and blockchain tools to track the performance of your campaigns.
- Continuous feedback
Gather continuous feedback from the community to identify areas for improvement and adapt your strategy.
Adapting to the Web3
The fundamentals of digital marketing are similar for a Web2 and Web3 marketing strategy; however, for the latter, the following adaptations need to be taken into consideration, which take into account the channels and objectives of a Web3 project.
Decentralisation: You need to adopt a decentralised approach to your marketing strategy, giving voice to the community and encouraging community participation.
Transparency: Transparency is essential in Web3 and in your marketing strategy. Clearly communicate your goals, your processes and your results.
Community: Community is the most valuable and important asset in Web3. Build strong relationships with your users, reward their contributions and turn them into ambassadors of your project.
In the world of digital marketing, where trends tend to be fleeting, the fundamentals are a necessary guide to any marketing strategy. Knowing your product or project, understanding your audience, defining your message, building your funnel and measuring its effectiveness are fundamental pillars that will ensure your project reaches its full potential.
The use of these fundamentals, adapted to the particularities of Web3, are the key to building relevant and successful projects.
