¿Puede un artista cumplir su sueño en la web 3?

He soñado con ser escritor y vivir de mi arte desde que tengo 12 años, pero por diversas dificultades de la vida nunca pude dedicarme a ello. ¿Puede la web 3 brindar una segunda oportunidad?

Hola, queridos artistas y entusiastas de la comunidad de Hive. Vengo a presentarme e introducirme por primera vez en la web 3 y ha sido para mí un proceso algo complejo. No porque sea difícil la web 3, sino porque, inconscientemente, me niego a dar pasos necesarios para conseguir metas y sueños que tengo establecidos desde hace mucho tiempo.

Sé que es arriesgado que en una plataforma tan nueva y expresando esto a personas que muy posiblemente vayan a estar en esta misma condición. Pero también creo que somos nosotros mismos, así como pasó con el BTC en su momento, los que tenemos que dar el impulso para conseguir la interacción entre creador del contenido con el público a través de esta nueva herramienta llamada web 3.

A mí me gusta escribir, toda mi vida he deseado vivir de escribir. Desde que tengo 12 años que hice mi primer poema, mi expectativa siempre fue lograr con esa habilidad algo grande, algo que realmente impactara en las personas y que debatieran sobre ello. Que hicieran teorías, que investigaran por lo que habían leído en mis textos. Quería, y todavía quiero, despertar sentimientos y análisis en las personas.

Hello, dear artists and enthusiasts of the Hive community. I come to introduce myself and introduce myself for the first time in web 3 and it has been for me a somewhat complex process. Not because web 3 is difficult, but because, unconsciously, I refuse to take the necessary steps to achieve goals and dreams that I have established for a long time. 
I know it is risky that on such a new platform and expressing this to people who are very possibly going to be in this same condition. But I also believe that it is we ourselves, as it happened with the BTC at the time, who have to give the impetus to achieve the interaction between content creator with the public through this new tool called web 3.

En la adolescencia me dediqué a escribir canciones y poesías. Por ser una época muy emocional donde mi vida se basaba en apariencias y fiestas, mi forma de drenar las cosas que oprimía eran escribiendo. Escribir para mí siempre fue una vía para escapar hacia un mundo donde yo mismo podía crear lo que quisiera con el propósito de entretener y transmitir mensajes.

Lamentablemente, al terminar el bachillerato decidí irme por lo recomendado en mi entorno familiar y lo que parecía más lógico según esa apariencia de normalidad que da la clase media. Donde es fácil endeudarse y soñar, pero que vives toda la vida en una rueda de ratón pagando con dinero FIAT una deuda interminable y que solo potencia vivir de las apariencias.

Fue por eso que decidí primero estudiar ingeniería, cosa la que me fue patéticamente mal, puesto que a pesar de tener cierto gusto por los cálculos, las matemáticas complejas y el tener análisis cuadrados día a día, no era algo que me apasionaba, aunque si mantengo respeto por este tipo de vocación como por todas las demás.

As a teenager, I dedicated myself to writing songs and poetry. Being a very emotional time when my life was based on appearances and parties, my way of draining the things I was oppressing was writing. Writing for me was always a way to escape into a world where I could create whatever I wanted for the purpose of entertaining and conveying messages.
Unfortunately, when I finished high school, I decided to go for what was recommended in my family environment and what seemed more logical according to the appearance of normality that gives the middle class. Where it is easy to get into debt and dream, but you live your whole life on a mouse wheel paying with FIAT money an endless debt and that only power to live on appearances. 
That is why I first decided to study engineering, which went pathetically wrong, since despite having a certain taste for calculations, complex mathematics and having square analysis day by day, it was not something I was passionate about, although I maintain respect for this type of vocation as for all others. 

No fue hasta año y medio de haber comenzado ingeniería que me di cuenta de que estaba perdiendo mi tiempo. No podía dejar de pensar en escribir historias, que en ese entonces, empezaba a tomar fuerza en mi cabeza el escribir ficción. Hasta entonces, únicamente había escrito poemas y lo había compartido con personas de confianza, pero quería dar un salto.

Es por eso que decido cambiar de carrera. Tenía dos opciones claras que eran psicología, porque de verdad me apasionaba el psicoanálisis y también varias teorías diferentes como las de Carl Jung. Sin embargo, me decidí por la segunda opción, que era periodismo. La razón fue simplemente por mis ganas de escribir, que nunca cesaron y que, al contrario, iban aumentando cada día.

Al empezar periodismo, mi match por la carrera fue inmediato. Me encanta la idea de expresar y comunicar de formas artísticas como en la escritura. Sin embargo, mientras más pasaba la carrera y sobre todo, trabajaba en medios de comunicación, me iba dando cuenta que el periodismo es una carrera atada de manos que se le permite transmitir sólo lo que quieren grandes corporaciones o los mismos gobiernos, creo que en su mayoría y esto funciona así en todo el mundo.

Conseguí graduarme simplemente porque sentía la vocación real de ser un informante y un comunicador, y salí de la carrera queriendo convertirme en novelista, en guionista, en cineasta. Ya mi sueño de ser artista había ampliado su horizonte y desarrollando gusto por otras formas de arte donde la escritura es esencial e importante. Pero ¿Cómo comienzo a escribir ficción?

It wasn't until a year and a half into engineering that I realized I was wasting my time. I couldn't stop thinking about writing stories, and at that time, writing fiction was starting to take hold in my head. Until then, I had only written poems and shared them with people I trusted, but I wanted to take a leap.
That's why I decided to change my career. I had two clear options which were psychology, because I was really passionate about psychoanalysis and also several different theories such as Carl Jung's. However, I decided on the second one. However, I decided on the second option, which was journalism. The reason was simply because of my desire to write, which never ceased and, on the contrary, increased every day.
When I started journalism, my match for the career was immediate. I love the idea of expressing and communicating in artistic ways such as writing. However, the more I went through the career and, above all, worked in the media, I realized that journalism is a career with its hands tied and that it is allowed to transmit only what big corporations or governments want, I think mostly, and this is the way it works all over the world.
I managed to graduate simply because I felt the real vocation of being an informer and a communicator, and I left the career wanting to become a novelist, a screenwriter, a filmmaker. Already my dream of being an artist had broadened its horizon and developing a taste for other art forms where writing is essential and important. But how do I start writing fiction?

Mi primer cuento.

En mi etapa universitaria en comunicación social, se abrieron las posibilidades y los motivos para estudiar aún más la literatura y sus formas narrativas. Siempre tuve la intención de escribir ficción, sin embargo, no había conocido todavía qué formato quería adaptar y cuáles referencias usar. Ya tenía claras referencias de García Lorca por sus poemas y otros textos, y claro, de García Márquez, quien es mi escritor favorito en castellano.

Sin embargo, no lograba imaginarme historias que permitieran desenvolver mi forma de escritura. No sabía en realidad cuál era el género que quería expresar en literatura, ya que no me apasionaba el drama. Siempre me imaginé obras de drama en forma de guiones, pero nunca en literatura. Y comenzando la carrera, me encontré con tres escritores que cambiaron mi mente: George RR Martin, Edgard Allan Poe y Horacio Quiroga.

My first story.
During my university studies in social communication, the possibilities and motives to study literature and its narrative forms even more opened up. I had always intended to write fiction, however, I had not yet known what format I wanted to adapt and what references to use. I already had clear references to García Lorca through his poems and other texts, and of course, to García Márquez, who is my favorite writer in Spanish.
However, I couldn't imagine stories that would allow me to develop my writing style. I didn't really know what genre I wanted to express in literature, since I wasn't passionate about drama. I always imagined drama plays in the form of screenplays, but never in literature. And starting my career, I came across three writers who changed my mind: George RR Martin, Edgard Allan Poe and Horacio Quiroga.

Con George caí por lo que caímos todos, Game of Thrones. Me pareció fascinante la primera y segunda temporada y me fui corriendo a leer los libros porque no aguantaba más la intriga. Lo que conseguí, fue una obra muy superior a la misma serie televisiva. George escribe con la dosis exacta de política, misterio, violencia, sexo y drama. Sabe perfectamente cómo describir situaciones adversas y cómo ponerlas en contextos.

Su forma de escribir me hizo entender que quería redactar historias explícitas y crudas. No quería escribir literatura romántica, para eso tenía la poesía. En mis historias quería hablar de cosas misteriosas, de violencia y sexo, de cosas que pasan en la vida real y nadie las discute, pero que como sociedad debemos organizarnos para acabar con ellas.

Sin embargo, más allá de que tenía claro que quería manejar este tipo de lenguajes y escenas, fusionando un poco el estilo de George para escribir como el de García Márquez, todavía no tenía una idea que llenara cientos y cientos de páginas. Y no se me ocurrían, tenía otro tipo de historias en la cabeza en ese momento.

With George I fell for what we all fell for, Game of Thrones. I found the first and second seasons fascinating and I ran off to read the books because I couldn't stand the intrigue any longer. What I got, was a work far superior to the TV series itself. George writes with just the right dose of politics, mystery, violence, sex and drama. He knows perfectly how to describe adverse situations and how to put them in context.
His way of writing made me understand that I wanted to write explicit and raw stories. I didn't want to write romantic literature, for that I had poetry. In my stories I wanted to talk about mysterious things, about violence and sex, about things that happen in real life and no one disputes them, but that as a society we must organize ourselves to put an end to them. 
However, even though it was clear to me that I wanted to handle this kind of language and scenes, merging a little bit George's style to write like García Márquez's, I still didn't have an idea that would fill hundreds and hundreds of pages. And they didn't occur to me, I had other kinds of stories in my head at the time. 

Fue así como entonces llegaron los espléndidos e impecables Edgar y Horacio. Dos cuentistas, dos reflectores de terror, dos mentes brillantes que de igual forma eran capaces de llevarte a los lados más oscuros de la naturaleza humana y hacerte entender qué estaba pasando mal ahí. Y en cuentos cortos, rápidos y sencillos. Era lo que necesitaba.

A los pocos días, la esposa de mi primo/hermano, una persona a la que aprecio mucho, me contó sobre su tía Providencia. La señora Providencia vivió en un pequeño pueblo venezolano y era la hermana mayor de su madre. Era una chica esbelta y con mucho potencial, pero quedó atascada en el pueblo luego de sufrir de demencia.

Lo curioso, no fue que sufriera demencia como tal, sino que esta demencia le despertó luego de ir al río con unos amigos y, según la historia, ser secuestrada por un duende que la traumatizó y acompañó por el resto de su vida. Dejándola completamente senil y aislada socialmente. Esta historia me marcó tanto que hice una recreación. Y es ese precisamente mi próximo post.

That's how the splendid and impeccable Edgar and Horacio arrived. Two storytellers, two reflectors of terror, two brilliant minds that were equally capable of taking you to the darkest sides of human nature and making you understand what was going wrong there. And in short, quick, simple stories. It was what I needed.
A few days later, my cousin/brother's wife, a person I hold dear to my heart, told me about her Aunt Providence. Mrs. Providencia lived in a small Venezuelan town and was her mother's older sister. She was a slender girl with a lot of potential, but she got stuck in the village after suffering from dementia.
The curious thing was not that she suffered from dementia as such, but that this dementia woke her up after going to the river with some friends and, according to the story, being kidnapped by a goblin that traumatized her and accompanied her for the rest of her life. Leaving her completely senile and socially isolated. This story marked me so much that I made a recreation. And that is precisely my next post.

¿Qué van a leer de mí?

La idea principal de dar este paso como escritor y sumar mis trabajos a la web 3, más allá de estos post ocasionales contando cosas de mi vida personal, se basarán en mis obras de ficción literaria. Será un portafolio exclusivo de todas mis obras archivadas donde espero una relación recíproca con ustedes que me ayude a mejorar para convertirme en un artista.

What are you going to read from me?
The main idea of taking this step as a writer and adding my works to web 3, beyond these occasional posts telling things about my personal life, will be based on my works of literary fiction. It will be an exclusive portfolio of all my archived works where I hope for a reciprocal relationship with you that will help me improve to become an artist.

Cada experiencia es válida para un escritor a la hora de hacer su obra. Si me conocen, entenderán mis historias. Sabrán analizarlas y comprenderlas. Aunque todo esto valdrá según lo que ustedes me comenten. Vine a crear una relación receptiva y donde pueda aprender recíprocamente de mis lectores. Vengo a sumar en esta comunidad.

Pero si, en principio, voy a publicar todos esos cuentos de terror/ciencia ficción que tengo archivados y que había estado guardando para el momento donde me sintiera confiado de un lugar en donde publicarlos, ese lugar ha llegado en este momento. Ya podrán confirmar luego que Hive tiene la exclusiva total de mi contenido. Espero nada más de ustedes que me lean y compartan sus comentarios para mejorar cada día.

Every experience is valid for a writer when it comes to his or her work. If they know me, they will understand my stories. They will know how to analyze and understand them. Although all of this will be valid depending on what you tell me. I came to create a receptive relationship where I can learn reciprocally from my readers. I come to add to this community.
But if, in principle, I am going to publish all those horror/science fiction stories that I have archived and that I had been saving for the moment when I felt confident of a place to publish them, that place has arrived at this moment. You can confirm later that Hive has full exclusivity on my content. I hope you will read me and share your comments to improve every day.
