Hola Hive! Me llamo Regla Galá Hidalgo. Nací el 30 de diciembre del 1999, por lo que tengo 24 años. Nací, crecí y actualmente vivo en una provincia del occidente de Cuba llamada Pinar del Río, por lo cual, a los nacidos en esta provincia nos llaman comunmente "pinareños."
Hello Hive! My name is Regla Galá Hidalgo. I was born on December 30, 1999, so I am 24 years old. I was born, raised and currently live in a province in western Cuba called Pinar del Río,that's why those of us born in this province are commonly called "pinareños."
Hace un año me gradué de Licenciatura en Teología y actualmente soy pastora, pianista y cantante de la iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día Alameda 114 en Pinar del Río. Jamás imaginé que hoy en día ejercería tales responsabilidades ya que nunca los planifiqué. Pero de pequeña mis padres vieron en mi aptitudes para la música, lo que me llevó a ser la pianista que hoy soy. Luego de comenzar desarrollar esta habilidad, vino el canto y más tarde como consecuencia de experimentar el amor de Dios, llegó el llamado a servir a la iglesia y a la humanidad. Aunque abarcan una gran responsabilidad, vivo para mis profesiones, porque definen quien soy y dan propósito a mi vida,no obstante, queda mucho por aprender.
A year ago I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theology and I am currently a pastor, pianist and singer at the Alameda 114 Seventh-day Adventist church in Pinar del Río. I never imagined that today I would exercise such responsibilities since I never planned them. But when I was little my parents saw my aptitude for music, which led me to be the pianist I am today. After beginning to develop this skill, singing came and later as a consequence of experiencing the love of God, came the call to serve the church and humanity. Although they carry great responsibility, I live for my professions, because they define who I am and give purpose to everything in my life, however, there is still much to learn.
Nací en un hogar humilde en el cual vivo actualmente. Para 1999 nuestra casita era pequeña cuyo techo era de madera. Sin embargo gracias a Dios y a los esfuerzos constantes de mis padres logramos salir adelante. En total somos tres hermanos. Un varón y dos hembras. Aunque mi hermano mayor es de otro matrimonio,nos une el amor y los mismos principios. Por eso creo que familia no se define solo por vínculos de sangre, sino por el corazón,una mano que se extiende y un hombro que sostiene en las buenas y en las malas.
I was born in a humble home in which I currently reside. By 1999 our house was small with a wooden roof. However, thanks to God and the constant efforts of my parents we managed to get ahead. In total we are three silblings. A male and two females. Although my older brother is not carnal, we are united by love and the same principles. That is why I believe that family is not defined only by blood ties, but by the heart, a hand that extends to help and a shoulder that supports in good times and bad.
Amo la música! Dicen los científicos que gran parte del cuerpo humano está compuesto de agua, pero yo diría que gran parte del mío está hecho de música. Mi abuelo paterno era tumbador y crecí oyendo la música que mi papá escuchaba. Tales como Willy Chirino, Celia Cruz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Marc Anthony, La India Alejandro Sanz, Niña Pastori, Laura Pausini, Rolling Stones y tantos otros. Y hoy, aunque tengo otros gustos musicales, es imposible escuchar esos temas y no volver a mi niñez tocando tumbadora con mi abuelo y pasando las tardes de domingo juntos en familia. También puedo escuchar música clásica, (preferentemente orquestal) hasta las lágrimas. Uno de mis más grandes sueños poder dirigir una algún día. Hace un año tuve la oportunidad de asistir a un concierto realizado en el teatro Martí de la Habana por la orquesta de cámara del Instituto Superior de Arte y tener el privilegio de conocer al gran maestro, intérprete, compositor y pianista de nuestro país Frank Fernández.
I love music! Scientists say that a large part of the human body is made of water, but I would say that part of mine was made of music. My grandfather was a tumbador and I grew up listening to the music that my dad listened to. Such as Willy Chirino, Celia Cruz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Marc Anthony, La India Alejandro Sanz, Niña Pastori, Laura Pausini, Rolling Stones and many others.Today, although I have other musical tastes, it's impossible for me to listen to those songs and not return to my childhood playing tumbadora with my grandfather and spending Sunday afternoons together as a family.
I can also listen to classical music to tears. It's one of my biggest dreams to be able to run it some day. A year ago,I had the opportunity to attend a concert held at the Martí Theater in Havana by the Chamber Orchestra of the Instituto Superior de Arte and have the privilege of meeting the great teacher, performer, composer and pianist of our country Frank Fernández.
Soy amante de los colores pastel en todas sus tonalidades, de los jazmines que brotan en invierno y los atardeceres en el mar o en las montañas. Fiel creyente de que los buenos amigos aveces son escasos pero muy necesarios. Quizás muchos de ellos hoy no estén, pero los recuerdos que atesoramos son suficientes para dar sentido a toda una vida. Fan #1 de las series de época por lo que me es difícil nombrar una favorita 😅; pero si he aprendido lecciones grandes de estas y es que ser honesto y genuino es la mayor de las riquezas, que ser buenas o malas personas es una elección diaria, que las cosas no resultan siempre como las queremos, que las circunstancias pueden cambiar en cualquier momento por mas difíciles que parezcan y que la verdad y el bien aunque demoren y parezca que se ahoga siempre triunfan.
I am a lover of pastel colors in all their shades, of the jasmines that bloom in winter and the sunsets at the sea or in the mountains. Faithful believer that good friends are sometimes rare but very necessary. Many of them may not be there today, but the memories we treasure are enough to give meaning to an entire life. #1 fan of period series so it's difficult for me to name a favorite 😅; But I have learned great lessons from these and that is that being honest and genuine is the greatest of riches, that being good or bad people is a daily choice, things ain't always turn out the way we want, circumstances can change at any time for good no matter how difficult they may seem, and truth and goodness, even if they take a while and seem to be drowning, always triumph.
Soy soltera. Estuve en dos relaciones, las cuales decidí terminar.Pero una cosa sé,el amor genuino existe. El amor genuino es una persona: Dios. Y aunque su amor cubre todas mis necesidades, si espero a esa persona que complemente al 100% mi calidad de corazón.
I'm single. I was in two relationships, which I decided to end.But I know one thing,true love exists.Genuine love is a person: God. And although he is more than enough for me, I do wait for that person who complements 100% my quality of heart.
