Hola comunidad de Hive, me presento soy Maf.... no ya va, hagamos esto un poquito más formal. Mi nombre es María Fernanda López, pero me dicen Mafer, venezolana-caraqueña, soy ingeniero, bartender y actualmente la pana que habla los lunes junto a dos amigos por Twitter Space.
¿Cómo llego a Hive y a ser Host en Twitter? Bueno, vamos con calma y contarles un poco de como llegué hasta acá. Pero, hay un punto dónde todo lo que me gusta hacer se conecta, eso es: la tecnología.
Desde muy peque, me generaba curiosidad de cómo se creaban las cosas, como funcionaban. Mi mamá compró una computadora de escritorio, allí teníamos encarta 98 y un buen repertorio de juegos (recuerdo que mis fav eran Arcade & Aladino). También, tuvimos varias consolas: Nintendo, Súper Nintendo (aún lo tengo y funciona) PS1 y actualmente PS4. Cabe destacar, no soy muy buena jugando, pero bueno, se disfruta.
De allí, surge mi interés de descubrir como la computadora y las consolas funcionaban, quien creaba esos juegos o como alguien podía hacer eso. No es hasta el 2010, que busco que carrera quisiera estudiar, conozco la Universidad Simón Bolívar, quedé impactada y dije "quiero estudiar ahí, no sé qué, pero es mi lugar" spoiler, no fue mi lugar. Quería estudiar Ingeniería electrónica, presente dos (2) veces y no quede.
En esa espera, mi hermana -que ya estaba en la universidad- me comenta que se está creando el pensum de estudio y están por abrir la carrera de Ingeniería en Informática. Yo negada porque, esa universidad digamos que no iba con mi personalidad, pues es la Universidad Marítima del Caribe (UMC), antigua Escuela Náutica de Venezuela, en ese momento (2011) eran honradas las buenas costumbres náuticas, la jerarquía y sí, había un cierto régimen el cual, no va para nada conmigo. Cuento corto: entre a estudiar Ingeniería en Informática mención Automatización de Procesos en el 2011.

El camino por la UMC fue, sin duda, una de las mejores experiencias en mi vida. Un mar de alegría, llanto y alcohol. La presión por culminar estaba presente, ya que, en el reglamento estudiantil tenemos quince (15) semestres para terminar la carrera.
Hay tres (3) proyectos que guardo en un lugar muy especial.
- Mi primera página web con HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
- Mi primer desarrollo de un vídeo juego, en lenguaje C++
- Un simulador para automatizar los procesos de una sala de máquinas de un buque en lenguaje C & Assembler (Mplab) y el simulador Proteus.
Cabe destacar, siguiendo el hilo de ir conectando las cosas, en varios momentos pensé pedir cambio de carrera a Ingeniería Marítima mención Instalaciones (maquinista), de ahí, la idea del proyecto del simulador.

Llega el año 2016, termino la carga académica con la materia que desde el día uno hizo que tomara la decisión de estudiar en la Marítima, Mecatrónica, no me equivoqué, ame todo el contenido teórico-práctico, también influyó la profesora que me impartió la clase, al día de hoy es una gran amiga. Seguimos, empieza la búsqueda de pasantías profesionales, no conseguía nada y se suma un problema de salud, pero una de mis mejores amigas me dice "tenemos el tiempo, el dinero y la disposición no hay excusa alguna, hagamos el curso de Bartender" de esos momentos que dices ¡Sí, Amonos!

Allí, inicia una etapa en mi vida que no sabía que necesitaba, pero realmente marcó un cambio para bien. Me enamoré del Bar, de tanto que hay por aprender y que no es solo "servir tragos". Al inicio, comentaba que me gusta complementar y buscarle que todo conecte, el bar no fue la excepción.

Ya va Mafer ¿Cómo me vas a decir eso, que tiene que ver una cosa con otra? La tecnología no es una excepción en el área del bar, el proceso de automatización de las plantas para la elaboración de productos es increíble, sin contar que, en la actualidad, ya hasta hay una destilería que aplica en su proceso la tecnología Blockchain. Recordar que, un bartender no se limita solo a estar detrás de una barra.
Llega el 2017 ¡Qué gran año! Consigo pasantías en una empresa donde estaba enfocada a la automatización de espacios, me gradué junto a mi hermana y eso fue maravilloso poder compartir ese gran momento junto a la persona que más admiro. Quedó de ingeniero residente en la empresa que antes mencioné, tuve la oportunidad de embarcarme, también hacer unas capacitaciones en el área del bar y conocer a grandes colegas.

En los años siguientes, luego de un vaivén de situaciones, experimentando, emprendiendo y creando muchas cosas nuevas. Les cuento algunas que marcaron un hito importante:
- Formé parte en la creación de una academia de coctelería, gastronomía & café.
- Gane el 1er lugar Amateur en la competencia de Bartender “Copa Rino Truant”
- Impartía clases en varios cursos: coctelería básica, avanzada y prácticas de barismo.
- Fui a eventos de marcas reconocidas del país.
- Aprendí nuevas tecnologías
- Empecé a estudiar sobre Web3 y conocí el mundo de NFT Gaming

2022 año de agradecer eternamente al universo por todo lo que he vivido. Estuvo lleno de grandes momentos, personas que he conocido y me ayudan a mejorar día tras día en lo personal y profesional.
Mención especial a mis amigos, cómplices y socios Leonardo y Say, ellos han sido parte importante de que logrará romper barreras, me ayudan a dar lo mejor de mi e ir al máximo cuando yo me limito. Nosotros creamos el proyecto de Dosis Web3, el de los Twitter space de los lunes que les comenté en el primer párrafo.

Y ese junte trajo consecuencias, conocimos a @gorayii & @soy-laloreto, mujeres que admiro, respeto, les tengo un gran cariño y aprecio. Ellas, nos enseñaron sobre Hive, nos abrieron las puertas a este gran ecosistema.
Otra persona que me impulso a estar acá es mi amigo @cabetosag, que gran entusiasmo al crear en Hive. Conocer en el evento de la Caracas Blockchain Week a Gora, Lalo, Arlette, Ilaz y todos del team de Hive termino de impulsar la decisión y ahora sí puedo decir formalmente

Hi Hive community, I introduce myself I am Maf.... no wait wait, let's make this a little more formal. My name is Maria Fernanda Lopez, but they call me Mafer, I’m Venezuelan, from Caracas, I'm an engineer, bartender and currently the guy who talks on Mondays with two friends on Twitter Space.
How did I get to Hive and become a Twitter Host? Well, let's take it easy and tell you a little bit about how I got here. But there is a point where everything I like to do connects, that is: technology.
Since I was a child, I was curious about how things were created, how it worked. My mom bought a desktop computer, there we had Encarta 98 and a good repertoire of games (I remember my favorites were Arcade & Aladdin). Also, we had have several consoles: Nintendo, Super Nintendo (I still have it and it works) PS1 and currently PS4. It should be noted, I'm not very good at playing games, but hey, it's enjoyable.
My interest arose to discover how the computer and consoles worked, who created those games or how someone could do that. It was not until 2010, that I looked for a career that I wanted to study, I met the Simon Bolivar University and I was shocked and said "I want to study there, I don’t know what, but it is my place" spoiler, it wasn’t my place. I wanted to study Electronic Engineering, I applied two (2) times and I didn't stay.
While I was waiting, my sister -who was already at the university- told me that the pensun was being created and they were about to open the Informatic Engineering program. I refused because, let's say that university didn’t go with my personality, because it was the Maritime University of the Caribbean, former Nautical School, at that time (2011) were honored good nautical customs, hierarchy and yes, there was a certain regime which does not go at all with me. Short story: I entered to study Informatic Engineering mention Process Automation in 2011.

University was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. A sea of joy, tears and alcohol. The pressure to finish was present, since, in the student regulations we have fifteen (15) semesters to finish the career.
There are three (3) projects that I keep in a very special place.
- My first web page with HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
- My first video game development, in C++ language.
- A simulator to automate the processes of a ship engine room in C & Assembler language (Mplab) and the Proteus simulator.
It should be noted, following the thread of connecting things, at various times I thought to ask for a change of career to Maritime Engineering mention Installations (Engineer Officer), from there, the simulator project arises.

The year 2016 arrives, I finish the academic load with the subject that from day one made me make the decision to study in the Maritime, Mechatronics, I was not wrong, I loved all the theoretical-practical content, also influenced the teacher who taught me the class, to this day is a great friend. We continue, the search for professional internships begins, I couldn’t get anything and a health problem is added, but one of my best friends told me “We have the time, money and willingness there is no excuse, let's do the Bartender course" of those moments that you say Yes, let's go!

There, a stage in my life began that I didn't know I needed, but it really marked a change for the better. I fell in love with the bar, there is so much to learn and it is not just "serving drinks". At the beginning, I commented that I like to complement and look for everything to connect, the bar was no exception.

How are you going to tell me that, what does one thing have to do with the other? Technology is not an exception in the bar area, the automation process of the plants for the elaboration of products is incredible, not to mention that, nowadays, there is even a distillery that applies Blockchain technology in its process. Remember that a bartender is not only limited to being behind a bar.
2017 what a great year! I get internships in a company where I was focused on the automation of spaces, I graduated with my sister and that was wonderful to be able to share that great moment with the person I admire the most. I became a resident engineer in the company I mentioned before, I had the opportunity to embark, also to do some training in the bar area and meet great partners.

In the following years, after a back and forth of situations, experimenting, undertaking and creating many new things. I will tell you some of them that marked an important milestone:
- I took part in the creation of a cocktail, gastronomy & coffee academy.
- I won 1st place Amateur in the Bartender competition "Rino Truant Cup".
- I gave classes in several courses: basic and advanced bartending and barista practices
- I went to events of recognized brands in the country (Venezuela)
- I learned new technologies
- I started to study Web3 and got to know the world of NFT Gaming

2022 is the year to eternally thank the universe for everything I have experienced. It was full of great moments, people that I have met and help me to improve day after day personally and professionally.
Special mention to my friends, accomplices and partners in crime Leonardo & Say they have been an important part of breaking barriers, they help me to give the best of me and go to the maximum when I limit myself. We created the Dosis Web3 project, the Twitter space on Mondays that I mentioned in the first paragraph.

And that meeting brought consequences, we met @gorayii & @soy-laloreto, women that I admire, respect, have a great affection and appreciation for them. They taught us about Hive, they opened the doors to this great ecosystem.
Another person who pushed me to be here is my friend @cabetosag, who had great enthusiasm to create in Hive. Meeting Gora, Lalo, Arlette, Ilaz and all the Hive team at the Caracas Blockchain Week event made the decision and now I can formally say I'm in Hive!
