Hello, everyone! Greetings to the wonderful and active people of the @hive-bangladesh as well as the hive community. This post is going to be my participation in the first contest arranged by @hive-bangladesh community. The question was "How did you come to know about hive"? Here is my answer to that.

As a matter of fact, I came to know about the hive in the last week of September 2021. It was the time, when, like many times before, I decided to check my steemit account after a long pause. Then I found out that another blockchain named hive had taken birth from the steem blockchain. Any, what did the question mean, I am going to answer that.
My blockchain journey started at almost 3 and a half years back. I came to know about a blogging platform from where we could earn money (I wasn't aware of the crypto back than). Most probably, I saw one post on Facebook from one of the Philipino Facebook friends. I immediately opened steemit.com and created an account. My account was approved almost immediately. I made my first post on the same day of account creation and the date was 9th October 2017.
Back then, there was no community like now. People used to support one another by using a specific tag. I first became associated with the #circleoffriend tag. A few days later it was gone. The same thing happened to many similar projects or tags; some of them faded away over time and some of them moved forward.
In the initial few months, I learned a few things about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Initially, I was quite a bit active on the platform. But over time, I went into a period of on-off in the platform. For a few months, I was super active. And in the subsequent months, I was absent from the platform. The creation of hive blockchain took place in such a period when I was inactive from the platform. So that I missed all the events of the civil war which lead to the birth of the hive.
Although my age in the blockchain journey is over 3 years, from the perspective of the wallet value, I am still at the bottom level. There are many factors for this. I will mention a few of them here.
- Lack of seriousness.
- No dependency on the income from the platform.
- Having a regular job which is sufficient for the living.
- Busy clinic duty and lack of time.
- Busy at home as well due to having a kid.
- Spending a long time at the village during the early stage of COVID19 lock-down, where the Internet was not feasible.
- Not investing a cent from my pocket
- A few others (maybe).
Ok! This was my post about my hive journey. Hope that you have enjoyed my post.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks again.
