I was telling you what is my opinion in relation to remote and online jobs, although digital technology and the Internet have been with us for years, we have never been closer and more connected than now. I know people who consider that if they are not day to day on the street or at a job from 8am to 5pm, they are not doing anything with their lives, they are wasting time or they are not working, that in relation to the people that we are and I include myself, working remotely from our homes or connection sites.
Le contaba lo que es mi opinión en relación a los trabajos remotos y en línea, si bien la tecnología digital y el Internet tienen años con nosotros, nunca hemos estado más cerca y conectado que ahora. Conozco personas que consideran que si no están día a día en la calle o en un trabajo de 8am a 5pm, no están haciendo nada con sus vidas, están perdiendo el tiempo o no están trabajando, eso en relación con las personas que estamos y me incluyo, trabajando remotamente desde nuestras casas o sitios de conexión.
More recently a wide range of possibilities have opened up at the touch of a button, unlimited and without specific time, not only freelance jobs, but also courses, programs, diploma workshops, university careers, mechanical baking, embroidery, meditation, leadership, among other things, not to mention the study of languages that are the order of the day. An endless number of options that allow us to educate ourselves, improve and work from our home or the place we prefer. While there are activities that are necessarily face-to-face or now combine the remote with the face-to-face, what dominates at this time is the remote online activity.
Más recientemente se ha abierto un abanico de posibilidades al alcance de un botón, ilimitadas y sin hora específica, no solo los trabajos freelance, sino también cursos programas, talleres diplomados , carreras universitarias, de repostería mecánica, bordado, meditación, liderazgo, entre otras cosas, sin contar el estudio de los idiomas que están a la orden del día. Un sinfín de opciones que nos permiten educarnos, mejorar y trabajar desde nuestro hogar o el sitio que prefiramos. Si bien hay actividades que forzosamente son presenciales o ahora combinan lo remoto con lo presencial, lo que domina en este momento es la actividad remota en línea.
Currently I have freelance work, I do workshops to improve baking techniques, I do marketing courses, a week ago I started an advanced English course and tomorrow I start an international accompaniment for entrepreneurs for which I received a scholarship, all this in a non face-to-face and online way. Everything is organized with schedules, deadlines and daily activities, which require commitment and responsibility as much as a formal job with office hours.
Actualmente yo tengo trabajo freelance, realizó talleres para mejorar técnicas de la repostería, hago cursos de marketing, hace una semana empecé un curso de inglés avanzado y mañana empiezo un acompañamiento internacional para emprendedores para el que fui becada, todo ello de manera no presencial y en línea. Todo organizado con horarios, fechas límites y actividades diarias, que exigen compromiso y responsabilidad tanto como un trabajo formal con horario de oficina.
I believe that we are in a moment in which we must move, necessarily open our minds to the social changes that have already arrived, they are not yet to come, they are already here and they are not going to go away soon, it is not changing our essence, it is freeing ourselves a little from rigid concepts to be able to evolve. If not, we run the risk of stagnating and not following the path that we are living.
Creo que estamos en un momento en el que debemos movernos, necesariamente abrir nuestra mente para los cambios sociales que ya llegaron, no están por venir, ya están aquí y no van a irse prontamente, no es cambiar nuestra esencia, es liberarnos un poco de conceptos rígidos para poder evolucionar. Si no, corremos el riesgo de estancarnos y de no seguir el camino que nos ha tocado vivir.
The world is always moving forward, but not in every era are paradigm shifts as noticeable as in this global moment we are living, it has been our lot to be and to be in a moment in the world where we really see it changing drastically before our eyes. And we must go on, always forward. We cannot be left behind.
El mundo siempre avanza pero no en todas las épocas se notan tanto cambios de paradigmas como en este momento mundial que estamos viviendo, nos ha tocado ser y estar en un momento del mundo donde de verdad lo vemos cambiar drásticamente delante de nuestros ojos. Y hay que seguir, siempre adelante. No nos podemos quedemos atrás.
